The Queue: Okay so now can we have a Dance Studio?

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) is answering all kinds of questions today.

You guys, I couldn't be happier with how the new models look. There are a few weird anomalies here and there, but overall the effect is a vast improvement to the game. It looks way, way better than it did only a week ago. Of course the blood elf models still need a touch up, but that's on the way after the expansion launches. So how about we dream big -- I mean really, really big -- and consider the thought of maybe, just maybe seeing a Dance Studio in the game? I mean, the models are all fresh and new. And if the old blood elf model looks this good doing the pandaren female dance as-is, things can only go uphill from here, right? Right?

Devin asked:

So what's your favorite change that you didn't discover until live? I just realized that changing my active talents will automatically update my key-bind. I previously had a macro for this that was accomplishing this but only passably.

I was pretty delighted to discover that dialogue has its own volume slider in the game options now. I'd completely forgotten that that was a thing that was going in. I'm also pleased that the grass physics from Draenor seem to have made their way into Azeroth, too. Go try walking through some tall grass and see what it does.

Q4tQ: the Hallow's end loot from the holiday boss; is it ilvl 470 or 600?

It is now ilvl 540 -- which may be of help to people still looking to boost their ilvl and get into UBRS.

qwerty31 asked:

Q4tQ: I discovered that with the 6.0.2 patch came the change that quest items no longer sparkle like they have for so many years. At first I thought that this was a change only for new content, as I spent ~10 minutes trying to find the stupid axe stuck in the door, not seeing any sparkles and figuring the item was above me or in a cave beneath me or something. Then I got on an alt to level through Tanaris and discovered the same thing happens in older content. Was this ever discussed before? What is the reasoning behind it? Do you like it? (I don't -- makes stuff harder to find) Is there a way to change it back?

You can turn off the new outline mode in your user interface. I have it turned off at the moment, just because the outlines were increasingly annoying while I was trying to get all my addons/buttons/bags/transmog sorted out when the servers came up on Tuesday. I haven't turned them back on yet -- I don't mind them really, but for smaller items it does makes things just a little more difficult to see. I am also one of those weird people that kind of likes the idea of having to hunt a little for stuff.

Aaron Caraway1 asked:

Q4tQ: I'm going to be brave and ask, even though I have been keeping up with WoD patch notes and class tweaks, I feel I missed something on Slice And Dice. I logged in last night and it's still very much a part of my opening rotation. I could have swore it was being built into the class, or did I miss something and it's going away in the expansion patch, or not at all?

It's not in yet -- the Slice and Dice change you're talking about is actually one of the new Draenor Perks. There are four of them that you earn as you level, every other level or so, on the way to 100. Each spec has its own set of perks, Assassination gets improved Slice and Dice. Keep in mind that the perks are randomly handed out, there's no order in which you earn them, it's just a random reward. But by the time you hit level 100, you'll have them all.

globalsmitty asked:

Q4TQ: Does the reagent bank signal the death of the bank alt?

Oh gosh no, at least not for the extreme collectors out there in the game. I may have a ton of bank space back on my rogue, but I still want my bank alt to hold all my various sets of interesting green gear, leveling items for alts, and my collection of Steamy Romance Novels. Maybe I don't necessarily need the guild bank anymore, but it's handy enough to have around that I'm not about to drop the thing.

BnDov3r asked:

QftQ: What happened to the Tarren Mill vs. Southshore thing? Is it active? How can I get in?

That is actually part of the anniversary event, which doesn't begin until after Warlords is out and playable.
