The Queue: Stuck on dancing

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) is answering all kinds of questions today.

On the discussion of dancing in WoW, Nocjin and jonmynard reminded me of the existence of the above video, which is still pretty awesome, even with the old models implemented. I'm just wondering what it would look like if it used the newer models. Far less flipper hand, for one thing!

ISO1600 asked:

QftQ: Why oh why do old, easily-soloable raids still have weekly lock-outs? They obviously want us to farm them for transmog, and I REALLY want a Hammer of the Naaru, but only being able to run the Lair once a week sucks.

Because all that stuff is still content to be completed. We are powerful, yes, but our characters are not gods, and should not be able to just mow over all prior content with no limitations in place. If you were able to just run in for a four hour stretch and smack bosses around until you got your hammer, that would pretty much eliminate any reason for you to go back and continue to do that content. Transmog managed to create new uses for old content that didn't exist before -- they aren't going to remove that aspect of the feature, not when it's so wildly popular.

thekaiserchiefs asked:

Q4tQ or commenters: What or where are some fast ways to farm Lesser Charms of Good Fortune. As I am swapping mains the item upgrades they bring and extra SoO rolls are greatly appreciated.

The frogs on the Timeless Isle seem to be the favorite answer -- you can get the charms while you're in a group, too, so that's less chance of dying to angry poison-spewing amphibians.

dsgdchucktown asked:

Q4TQ: I have a question about BoA weapons. I recently got the BoA dagger from Garry for my rogue and was wondering if I will be able to equip him with two of that item once the BoA "tab" is implemented? I've only been able to find speculation up to this point, but if the BoA tab allows you to generate a copy of any obtained BoA item for a character, and they are not unique-equip then would it stand to reason that I will be able to equip two of any class-able weapons?

We honestly have absolutely no idea how the BoA tab is going to work, if and when we get it. All that exists about that feature so far is speculation, because Blizzard hasn't said anything at all about how it will work. So asking questions about details like the number of heirlooms you can equip from the tab is honestly pretty pointless at this point, because nobody really has any answers, and won't until we actually see them talk about the feature.

Domehammer asked:

So if they updated ilvl of drops in hallows end does that mean lvl 100 loot will not drop from the holiday for this coming expansion? Can't wait to see if I can get those two new pets from hallows end.

We'll get level 100 items during the holidays. I imagine they won't implement the level 100 stuff like rings or weapons until the expansion has been out for a month or two and everyone has had a chance to get there, first. Probably the holidays we see during and after the anniversary content goes in will all be level 100 gear.

Jorsha asked:

What happened to the BMAH? I heard it'll be in Draenor, but does that mean we can't access it until we get there?

It has packed up and moved on -- after all, it takes a little time to go all the way from Pandaria to Draenor. You won't see it until you're in Draenor and high enough level to get to where it's tucked away.

Omegahty asked:

Q4tQ: what was the first holiday event you had experienced when you began playing WoW?

The first one I experienced was the very first Feast of Winter Veil celebration, back in 2004. It was the first real holiday WoW ever had, and I remember everyone being very excited about it. The first really memorable in-game holiday was the subsequent Noblegarden celebration in 2005 -- not because it had anything really exciting to do, but because someone on the forums started this amazing, ridiculous rumor that the eggs you found had a chance for an in-game rabbit mount, and people were going crazy over it. The guy even cobbled together a "screenshot." It was amazing. Imagine a low-poly count bunny the size of a kodo and you've got a good idea of what that looked like.

gazaa07 asked:

Q4tQ: Speaking of "Steamy Romance Novels", should Blizzard use their collection of Novel writers to make them real, 50 Shades style?

...no.
