The Queue: How was your haul?

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) is answering all kinds of questions today.

This song has been stuck in my head all night, pretty much! But hey -- how was everyone's Halloween? Did you get a lot of candy? Do you have a lot of leftover candy you didn't give away? I don't get trick or treaters out here in the mountains, so the night has been pretty uneventful. Let's answer some Warcraft questions, shall we?

wrathofkublahan asked:

Lets pretend I have a ton of herbs in my shiny new reagent tab. On Nov. 13, if I start making flasks; a lot of them, will my alchemy be leveling points? Is it worth the grind?

Would you gain points? Some. Is it worth the grind? No. Profession leveling is pretty easy in Warlords, you'll actually be leveling right along as you're questing. No pre-grinding required -- you'd be better served hopping through the portal and just getting started with content.

Puntable1 asked:

I was watching the Ashran stream with Dev commentary and I found myself getting excited to try it. It looks really interesting. Do you think it will live up to expectations?

Honestly I don't do a lot of PvP -- I haven't for years. But Ashran is ridiculously fun. It's what I was hoping Halaa would be way back in Burning Crusade. I have a feeling it's going to be a lot more popular than people may have initially thought -- and if you're wondering whether or not to try it out ... just try it out. If you don't like it, you can pretty much leave at any time just by heading back to your faction's stronghold at the edge of the island.

jpec07 asked:

So why are the factions still fighting again? Is it just old grudge matches and territorial disputes? I'd have thought that the cooperation in the Siege of Orgrimmar would have solidified diplomatic relationship at the highest levels. Like, I can see Varian Wrynn going out for drinks with Vol'jin.

The story is kind of interesting on Ashran. The Alliance are looking for a powerful artifact for their own reasons, the Horde found out about it and want to claim it for themselves. Thus, loads of clashing on both sides. Really that's the extent of it -- neither faction wants a potentially threatening weapon falling into the other faction's hands.

prudhvirazz asked:

Small doubt. Khadgar went to Draenor with Turalyon and got locked there. I am currently reading "Arthas: Rise of the Lich King". Without spoiling too much can someone tell me how Khadgar came back? I saw him in patch 6.0.2.

Khadgar was indeed stuck on Draenor -- we found him in Shattrath City during Burning Crusade, where he thanked us for rescuing him by forcing us to take the Longest. Tour. Ever.

ganrohk81 asked:

With Garrosh, Grom, and Gorehowl being so prevalent in the story of WoD, did we every get a viable explanation as to why Prince Malchezaar had Gorehowl?

There isn't really a lore explanation -- Malchezaar does say that all dimensions and realities are open to him, so presumably he plucked it from one of those. But really, there's no written story reason that he's got the weapon. Most of the time, loot on a boss isn't really connected to lore -- it's just cool stuff that drops!

Chrth asked:

Q4TQ: Of the NPC-only races, which one would you most like to see removed from the game?

Med'an. Oh wait, you're talking about an entire race. Of NPCs. That are in the game.

... no, I still feel pretty confident about Med'an here.
