Sitting down: It's such a passive activity. Immersit wants to shake that up, all too literally, with its "vibes" sofa accessory. We've seen Immersit before, when it debuted a much more intense (and more expensive) 4D motion kit. That one actually raised the sofa off the ground for added impact. Vibes, on the other hand is meant to be more accessible, and at around $350, it's within most consumers' reach.

If there's one website that knows how to combine technology and savvy public relations stunts, it's Pornhub. The company behind the WankBand is gearing up to launch another piece of hardware in the form of TwerkingButt, an adult toy that promises to set a "new benchmark in sexual stimulation." Which is a ten-dollar way of saying that it's a robotic butt that vibrates when it's plugged in. Thanks to CyberSkin technology, the unit will even warm itself to a temperature of 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit to match that of a human body.

  • Shovel Knight cheat unlocks Butt Mode

Shovel Knight is brimming with cheat codes – more than 300 collected in this Google Doc so far – but the most adorable, childishly hilarious code unlocks Butt Mode, a cheat that replaces recurring nouns in the game with the word "butt." It's like reading a Harry Potter book and replacing every instance of the word "wand" with "wang." Or playing Mad Libs. Either way, this is comedy gold. Access Butt Mode in Shovel Knight by entering "X&BUTT" or "WSWWAEAW" in the name entry screen. As with all cheat codes in Shovel Knight, applying Butt Mode means you won't be able to complete any "feats," the game's achievements. Yacht Club Games tweeted the cheat code this week, and CastleGeekSkull shows off Butt Mode on YouTube, proving that yes, it is as funny as it sounds. And we are all 6 years old. See that video below. • Valve worker's controllers let you steer games with your butt and tongue (video)

Valve's engineers may spend much of their time building practical hardware like gamepads and VR headsets, but they still have room to work on some intriguing side projects. Just ask the company's Ben Krasnow, who recently created prototype game controllers that use the player's butt and tongue for input. The backside-based system centers on a modified bathroom scale that translates posture shifts to software commands; players just have to lean or spin to move their character. The tongue controller, meanwhile, stuffs a mouse's optical system into a custom retainer. As you'll see in the demo videos after the break, neither device is especially practical -- you'd need extra equipment to have any chance of competing with fellow gamers. Still, the experiments show just how daring Krasnow can be when exploring alternative control schemes.

  • Eat your friend's butt in Noby Noby Boy multiplayer mode

Think you're done with Keita Takahashi's Noby Noby Boy? Nope, there's still more to come. The upcoming multiplayer patch for the PSN sandbox "toy" will allow players to control their own stretchy BOYs. However, if one BOY eats another, you'll get a combined BOY where one player controls the head and the other controls the poo-poo side. The PlayStation Blog mentions four-player support, but Takahashi admits that the experience may be quite "chaotic." We're not sure how four-player support will be implemented, but we're certain Takahashi's team will figure it out ... even without the help of drugs.

  • Balance Board taking over Rabbids TV Party, blog makes butt joke

Ubisoft rather likes money, and therefore is enamored by the best-selling Balance Board. Perhaps this is why the range of Balance Board-compatible minigames in Rayman Raving Rabbids TV Party has been stretched, to the point where half of the 75 games will feature Balance Board support -- previously, that figure was one-third. We guess Ubisoft really wants to see you playing with your butt more, amirite lol?!"Hilarity" aside, offering greater Balance Board compatibility makes perfect sense. There's a gap in the market for Balance Board games that aren't Wii Fit right now (only We Ski is currently on store shelves), and Balance Board owners are probably looking for something else to play, now they've perfected their Sun Salutation.%Gallery-23883%[Via Go Nintendo]

While you may be able to play Raving Rabbids TV Party with your butt, you probably can't use your butt to look at the new screenshots that have surfaced. If you can? Well, we don't really want to hear about it, thanks.Once you start looking for butt, you realize that it's everywhere. Just check out this screenshot -- you've got a rabbid clinging to this poor bovine creature's ass with his ass ... and what's the move called? Backside tail grab. Listen, we're not insinuating anything about Ubisoft here. We're just pointing out the obvious.%Gallery-23883%

  • Sega bites the DS on the butt

Sega's Oshiri Kajiri Mushi Rhythm Lesson DS offers us some lessons from a wise individual who has much to teach the world: The Butt-Biting Bug. The What-Whatting What? The Butt-Biting Bug, or Oshiri Kajiri Mushi, is a character in a little animation played between NHK children's shows, who sings a song about biting people's rears. The people he bites are then roused into some action that ends up making them happy. The bug became a surprise hit, getting his own show on the NHK, as well as CDs and DVDs. And now Sega is publishing a DS game featuring the character! An educational game that teaches you how to chomp on asses -- oh, no, sorry, it teaches you rhythm. The site for the game doesn't have any specific information yet, and all that is known about the music-education game is that it will involve playing cymbals, castanets, drums, and other percussion instruments to the tune of not just the Oshiri Kajiri Mushi song, but over 100 others. In the absence of game screens (and because we want to), we've embedded the original Oshiri Kajiri Mushi video. The tune will be clamped tightly onto you for the rest of the day. [Via GAME Watch]
