Remember that special edition One X for AT&T with the Cushnie et Ochs-approved exterior, and how HTC said it would never go on sale? Well, while HTC is sticking to its word, one of the 150 souls who grabbed one at MADE Fashion Week has decided to give the rest of us a crack at buying it via eBay auction. For folks interested in owning the half ebony, half ivory handset, the bidding currently starts at $360 -- though you can expect the phone to fetch a far greater price when the auction ends six days from now on September 17th. Update: Looks like you've missed your chance, as the eBay auction has now been ended. We're not sure whether the seller got an offer they couldn't refuse, or a strongly worded letter from HTC. Either way, show's over. [Thanks Dominic]

  • Google Glass makes catwalk debut at New York Fashion Week

Google Glass' early luxury brand pricing appears to have put it in good stead, with the elite at New York's Fashion Week getting an early close-up look at Google's wearable camera future. Diane von Furstenberg, who's no stranger to a tech tie-in, has added the lightweight frames to her latest show, using them to make a documentary about fashion's creative process. The project is set to appear on von Furstenberg's Google+ page later this week, but if you're not a world-renowned fashion designer (or model), we'd be paying more attention to that two-year wait.

  • Acer's CloudMobile gets manhandled, sexy shell may hide Android secrets (video)

Acer's CloudMobile has already broken cover once. Now it's been manhandled in the flesh by members of the media. Sadly, we weren't on hand at Fashion Week in Milan to give it the once over ourselves (we'll have to wait for MWC for that), but the folks at Notebook Italia were. It looks like the 4.3-inch display is, in fact, of the 1280 x 720 variety, and the processor tasked with pushing all those pixels is a dual-core 1.5GHz part. Underneath that award-winning shell is also Dolby Mobile sound, NFC and Ice Cream Sandwich. Interestingly, reports are that the handset is running the unannounced Android 4.1, but we haven't been able to confirm that just yet. Also not quite ready for prime time? It's namesake AcerCloud platform, but the company still has a few more months to work that one out before the anticipated Q3 release. Check out the video after the break and hit up the source link for a few more photos.

Are you more into looking good in Lord of the Rings Online than defeating the very heart of evil? Then Turbine's got a special week planned just for you. Starting today and going through the 16th, Fashion Week will be blazing through LotRO. LotRO's cosmetic system allows players to assemble their own outfit looks independent of slotted gear and has become a popular feature in the game ever since its inception. Through Fashion Week, Turbine will call on the best-dressed to strut their stuff in the hopes that in-game CMs will see them and award special titles. Also included in the week will be fashion-themed lotteries and a screenshot contest in which the best entries will be voted upon by the community. To give players inspiration, Turbine links to three game outfit blogs -- Lotro Fashion, Lotro Stylist, and Cosmetic Lotro -- and has given each of the blogs special codes to hand out for free in-game dyes.

Manhattan socialites and fashionistas might as well stop reading this right now. But if for some strange reason you weren't at New York's Fashion Week yesterday, we are pleased to tell you that "the Tamster" (as we call visionary clothes horse Vivienne Tam) is back with yet another "digital clutch" for the year 2010. Apparently inspired by the classic Chinese love story "Butterfly Lovers," this is yet another hyped-up collaboration between the designer and HP, somehow symbolizing "love, freedom, independence and transformation," according to the PR. While we do know that this device is supposed to make "women around the world... feel independent and free, like butterflies," we've yet to be turned on to any specifics, such as system specs or price. But chin up, sailor -- we only have until Spring 2010 to find out. Hope you can wait that long! In the meantime, there's a gallery below, and some marketing material for you after the break.

As anyone who attends FIT in New York City knows, next week begins Fashion Week in the big apple. Designer Karl Lagerfeld will end his contribution to the week's events by making the Karl Lagerfeld/Lagerfeld Collection shows available as video podcasts in the iTunes Music Store. While you're at it, Karl, please explain to CBS why distributing content via iTunes is a good idea.According to the press release, the shows will be shot in HD and edited on-site using Final Cut Pro. Also, Aperture will be used to allow Karl to make last-minute wardrobe decisions. Before you download the podcast, though, make sure your iPod is appropriately togged out for the occasion.[Via MacMinute]
