The HD Remaster of Final Fantasy X and X-2 contains a bonus half-hour audio drama written by series wordsmith Kasushige Nojima, and going by this tease it delves into the events following X-2. The audio episode also feature new characters and voices, but most importantly, it features Tidus' name pronounced in its technically-correct-but-in-reality-just-plain-wrong way. You'll always be Tie-dus to us, Tidus. Square Enix also confirmed the Remasters feature over 60 "rearranged and optimized" tracks from the FFX soundtrack. That's lovely and all, but the one thing we're still waiting on is a date; both remasters are scheduled to arrive on PS3 and Vita later this year. %Gallery-195831%

It's like seeing the Final Fantasy X opening through that lens they use on Barbara Walters and RuPaul. Here's Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster compared to the original standard definition PS2 version. In technical terms, the HD version smoothes out the jaggies and makes the textures splendiferous. In practical terms, everything is more purty and a lot less orange. Seeing Yuna's face in half-SD, half-HD is a little creepy, but certainly does a fine job of showing off the graphical overhaul.

Despite initially being announced nearly two years ago, the remastered Final Fantasy X is nearing completion. Square Enix producer Yoshinori Kitase says Final Fantasy X HD is at 80% completion, while Final Fantasy X-2 HD is at 65% completion. Both games will release this year via physical disc on PS3 and sold separately on PS Vita. Kitase would not comment on whether the Last Mission would be included with Final Fantasy X-2 HD in his Gamer interview. The Last Mission, included only in the Japanese "International Version" of Final Fantasy X-2, features content taking place after the game's original ending.%Gallery-191088%
