Vagrant Story and PixelJunk Shooter 2. Those are the biggies this week in the PSN update, which may not be the thickest, but there's plenty of content to feel good about -- as long as you aren't looking for extensive PSP stuff. Take a trip past the break for all the details -- there's plenty of demos to try out. It's a red-letter week for European PSN releases -- actually, we haven't figured out how to change the text color in these things yet, so disregard that last bit. Alien Breed: Descent and The Undergarden highlight the new full releases, while demos for Dragon Age 2, Yakuza 4 and Lego Star Wars 3 fill your need for free samples. There's some nice DLC, too -- including the release of Fallout: New Vegas' "Dead Money" expansion. Check out all the releases below! Demo high fantasy and Japanese gangsterism with this week's PSN update, which will let you take Dragon Age 2 and Yakuza 4 out for a spin.If you're in to the classics, RPG epic Xenogears is available for download alongside non-classic Dragon's Lair follow-up, Space Ace. Both titles cost $10. Resident Evil 2 has been marked down to $3 and Fallout: New Vegas DLC, "Dead Money," is available after its timed Xbox 360 exclusivity. The full update details can be found after the break. Update: Realigned update details to latest version, reconfirmed some confusing platform listings. This week's "new" content on the European PlayStation Store is anything but -- headlining the new releases are Dragon's Lair and Final Fantasy, joined by the PSOne Classic Atari Anniversary Edition. Most of the "freshness" of this particular update comes from the twin Killzone 3 demos, which come in distinct 2D and eye-pulverizing 3D flavors. Check out the rest of the update below! Nani kore? Great scott! This week's PSN update adds the Yakuza 4 demo for PlayStation Plus subscribers, while the plebs can grab it next week. Telltale also adds the first episode of its Back to the Future adventure game. Speed on past the break at 88 MPH to see what you'll be downloading in ... the future. Two heavyweights headline this particular installment of the PSN Euro update: Double Fine's latest, Russian doll-centric puzzler Stacking, and Curve Studios' molecularly unstable action-platformer, Explodemon. Man, can you imagine if these two games could somehow merge into one? It'd be about robots inside of robots inside of robots -- all of whom are capable of exploding with little to no provocation. Plenty of puzzling and action oriented downloadable titles in this week's PSN update. There's the puzzling Stacking and the addictive defense gameplay of Plants vs. Zombies. There's also the retro platforming of Explodemon or the puzzle-platforming of Tales from Space: About a Blob. Check out the expansive list of PS3 stuff after the break ... try to ignore the PSP ever existed after the NGP's announcement. So much to talk about, so little time! Well, actually, we've got all the time in the world -- but we'd hate to keep you from downloading and playing this week's PSN offerings, which include Bionic Commando Rearmed 2, X-Men Arcade and the Killzone 3 Public Beta, which is only available through tomorrow. So, yeah. You might want to prioritize that one. Choose your platform to view the corresponding release list: (Note: Continue past the break to view both release lists.)

This week's PSN update adds The UnderGarden and Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2, two titles that didn't review all too well on our little corner of the internet. Although, not all is lost, if you somehow missed out on playing one of the best games of 2009, Assassin's Creed 2 is available for $30. The "Deluxe Edition" includes the core game along with all the DLC. Check out the Fight Night Champion demo if you're looking to play something punchy. The full PSN update can be found after the break... and please try to ignore the crickets hanging out in the PSP section. There's not an overwhelming amount of content in this week's update, but the few new items that are there are savory, indeed. There's the Move-enabled release of Dead Space: Extraction, a demo for BulletStorm and a new (old) PSOne Classic, Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation. There's also some DLC for Dead Space 2, and a handful of new outfits for Super Street Fighter 4. Check out all the new releases after the jump! You know her. You adore her. You may barely remember her name, but you'll never forget the face of "Dead Space Girl." If you don't plan on picking up Dead Space 2 for PS3, which includes Dead Space Extraction, you can still grab the Move-controlled port of this on-rails shooter by downloading it from PSN for $15 today -- or try the demo for free. If you're looking for something just as bloody as Dead Space, but half as mature, there's also the Bulletstorm demo. It's definitely worth a test drive, if only for the simple experience of tossing a futuristic lasso on a bad guy, yanking him toward you in slo-mo, shooting him a couple times in-process, and then kicking him full-blast into some spikes. Today's European PSN update is not only chock-full of delicious, standalone offerings, including EA Bright Lights' Spare Parts and the winter-themed Costume Quest on Ice -- but it also has additions for yesterday's big PS3 releases. Need a new costume for your stitched protagonist in LittleBigPlanet 2? Well, hey, here's a free space suit. Need a buttload of new future-guns for your moderately-sized militia in Mass Effect 2? Well, they've got that too. Choose your platform to view the corresponding release list: (Note: Continue past the break to view both release lists.)

*BOOM* Our top game of 2010 hits PSN. Mass Effect 2 is available now to download through the digital distribution network, but don't expect to be playing it right away. The title is 12 gigglebytes, which means if you start downloading now, you'll be lucky to finish before the Honolulu sunset. Thankfully, the game is also available at your local retailer in disc form. If you're feeling particularly old school, the original Mega Man is also available. There's also the Simon Pegg-voiced game Spare Parts. Check out the full PSN update after the break. It's an eclectic grab bag on this week's European PSN release list, bringing us an odd mix of games such as Germany's Next Top Model (available only in Austria, Germany and Switzerland, natch) Tomb Raider Chronicles and Angry Birds. Rounding out the bizarreness is a Linkin Park track pack for Rock Band 3. Man, the only way that this list could get any diverse is if it included subscriptions of varying lengths to DC Universe Online. Oh, right. It totally does. There's a handful of new content to keep you busy into this first week of the new year, including demos for TV Superstars and Kung-Fu LIVE, the downloadable release of Borderlands and a trio of new NeoGeo Station releases. There's also a correction on one of the holiday's biggest deals -- apparently, users who downloaded the discounted Tales of Monkey Island collection actually only received one of the five chapters therein. The bug's been fixed now, but if you were affected by the error, you'll get your money refunded in the next couple of days. That's the greatest PSN release of all, you know: Cash money. Brace yourself for holiday avarice -- this week, the Eurpoean PSN plays host to dozens upon dozens of discounts on games for PS3 and PSP. There's some new stuff, too, including Risk: Factions and the free Buzz Quiz Player, but don't let your hunger for the new distract you from the cheapness of the old. We honestly don't even know where to begin with this week's PSN update -- it's like staring down the business end of a five-foot Philly cheesesteak. There are demos for Dead Space 2, Mass Effect 2 and LittleBigPlanet 2. Not interested in demos? Well, there's RISK: Factions and Echochrome 2 for PS3 and Valkyria Chronicles 2 for super cheap on PSP. It really is an amazing update for the holidays. Check out the full PSN update after the break. (Philly cheesesteak not available, sold separately.) It's time to slap on some eyeliner and start screaming "Dahakaaa!" at random intervals throughout the day -- the Prince of Persia trilogy's latter two installations, Warrior Within and Two Thrones, arrive on the European PSN today. Not down with time-bending action-platformers? Well, the exact opposite of that, Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves, is also available today -- or, better yet, the Billy Joel track pack for Rock Band 3. We can't think of anything further away from epic Persian adventures than "Only the Good Die Young."
