For those who don't have all the X-Men Arcade tracks forever burned into their brain, here's the reference for the headline. This week's PSN update is packed with downloadable superheroes. The full game of Prototype is available, along with the aforementioned X-Men Arcade and the flipping good Marvel Pinball. Also available is emo Prince from Warrior Within who, when he isn't slicing up bad guys, is constantly cutting himself as an ever-present reminder of his pain for not selling enough copies of The Sands of TIme, the result of which forced him to wear "man-scara" in the sequel. Check out the full PSN update after the break. Choose your platform to view the corresponding release list: (Note: Continue past the break to view both release lists.)

Sony is continuing its streak of holiday-inappropriate European PSN releases, launching such merriment-inspiring titles as Alien Breed 2: Assault and Kung-Fu LIVE. We suppose some cheer can be gleaned from the big DLC released this week, including the expansion for Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, and the Queen Extravaganza Pack for Rock Band 3. Also, there's a demo for Saw 2: Flesh and Blood -- a demo which will almost certainly make you say, "Ho, Ho, Hooh my God that dude just cut his own face off." Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves is available to PlayStation Plus members this week for free. The Move-required, three DualShock-supporting LittleBigPlanet spin-off will be available to regular folk beginning next week for $6. Or, if you can wait, the game will be included on the LittleBigPlanet 2 disc when that hits retail on January 18. Check out the full PSN update after the break. It's the first day of December, and people across the globe are preparing themselves for holiday festivities. Why not get yourself in the spirit of the season with a few selections from today's PSN update, like Dead Nation? Oh, no, wait. That won't do. What about that demo for CSI: Crime Scene Investigation: Fatal Conspiracy? Hm, that's not particularly cheerful either, is it? How about you blow up some more dudes in new in interesting ways with that Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage DLC? This ... this is going to be a weird month. Family-friendly and family-defending titles are available in this week's PSN update. The friendly comes in the form of Funky Lab Rat, an action puzzler that uses that thing called "physics," which scientist-types keep trying to tell us is a real thing -- don't believe the hype. What you should totally believe in is the zombie apocalypse, with the latest training simulation, Dead Nation, available today -- it's quite excellent when approached with a fellow, future survivor. You might not call it Thanksgiving where you're from, but you'll still be feasting on delicious ghosts this week -- so don't ruin your appetite on just pellets! Oh, and one more thing: You might not know this (if you don't eat a 20-pound turkey once a year), but eating too much Thanksgiving bird can make you really sleepy. Similarly, gobbling up ghosts can have its own ... "side effects." Choose your platform to view the corresponding release list: (Note: Continue past the break to view both release lists.)

Too much good PSN content! Head ... *pop*. Okay, maybe it's not that dramatic, but there are a lot of games in this week's update. There are new titles like Pac-Man Championship Edition DX or Spelunker HD, and new-to-PSN games like Dragon's Lair and Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalker, with every title mentioned carrying a $10 price tag. Then ... well, then there are all the price updates and plenty of add-on content. Check it all out after the break. Are you ready to spend some crazy money? It doesn't look like you have much of a choice this week, with the simultaneous releases of Crazy Taxi and Prince of Persia: Sands of Time HD. Of course, considering the Bee Gees track pack hits Rock Band 3 this week, we're not sure why we're even bothering talking about anything else. We all know that's what you've been waiting for all these years. Choose your platform to view the corresponding release list: (Note: Continue past the break to view both release lists.)

This week's PSN update delivers the first installment in the Prince of Persia trilogy HD-ified for North America. Available in Europe as a Blu-ray compilation later this week, The Sands of Time is available now for $15 in North America, with the other two installments launching in December. The Crazy Taxi remake is ready to take you for a ride if you got $10 and there's also some refined high-quality Peggle to be found on PSP. For PlayStation Plus subscribers, check out Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus ... it's free. The rest of this week's update can be found after the break. There are a few tasty treats in this week's European PSN update -- we can totally get down on the discounted Assassins' Creed 2 content, the Bon Jovi track pack in Rock Band 3 and the recently released PSN title Crescent Pale Mist. However, the star of the show this week is clearly Grandia. Not only because it's an incredible game, but also because it was like, the only JRPG the US PSN had that the EU PSN didn't. Fine, alright? We get it. You guys win. Choose your platform to view the corresponding release list: (Note: Continue past the break to view both release lists.)

With all the Black Ops calling gamers to duty, it's no surprise that this week's PSN update is fairly quiet. So, why not kick back with a refreshing bottle of Crescent Pale Mist and enjoy ... wait, CPM is a game?! It sounds like a microbrew. Oh my, this is embarrassing. We had high hopes that our PS3, through one of its many firmware updates, had become a beverage dispenser. Anyway, if you're curious about Crescent Pale Mist, we've placed a trailer after the break, along with the rest of this week's update. It only makes sense that after offering PlayStation Plus subscribers a free download of Abe's Oddysee, Sony would let them complete the saga by handing out Abe's Exoddus. It's just one of the handful of freebies coming in the next PS+ update, which is detailed after the jump.

Brace yourselves, folks -- this week's a doozy. We've got a whole mess of new PlayStation Plus bonuses, the digital release of the God of War Collection, three new demos (including one for Rock Band 3), DLC for Dead Rising 2, Medal of Honor, God of War III and many others, the digital release of God of War: Ghost of Sparta on the PSP, and permanent price reductions on the What Did I Do To Deserve This, My Lord series, Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days and more. Strap on your scholarly reading glasses, and get to work after the jump. Choose your platform to view the corresponding release list: (Note: Continue past the break to view both release lists.)

    11.03.2010

Kratos is committing bloody vengeance all over this week's PSN update. The God of War Collection is available for download on PS3 and God of War: Ghost of Sparta is ready for handheld brutality on PSP. If you're a PlayStation Plus member you also get a "full game trial" of God of War 1 and 2, which you can test drive for an hour apiece. Also, Trophies and game progress will roll over if you purchase the game after taking the blades out for a spin. While you're taking advantage of your membership, you should also check out the Vanquish trial. There's plenty of more stuff in this update, so head on past the break for all the details. Note: In addition to this week's update being really behind schedule, Sony is telling PSN users that, while all of the content is now live, it's not actually appearing in the PlayStation Store interface. You'll need to use the PS Store search function to find the new additions until the problem is addressed. Demos! Getcha' demos here! This week's Euro PSN update highlights four trial versions for upcoming games, including Time Crisis: Razing Storm, Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit and Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage. There's also the release of the Undead Nightmare expansion for Red Dead Redemption, which should provide all the spookiness required for your upcoming Halloween festivities. This week's downloadable games for PSN include the port of online-only shooter Blacklight: Tango Down and the direct-to-PSN North American release of Superstars V8 Racing -- a title which makes us desire tomato juice like you wouldn't believe. Also, for Rock Band 3 owners, the Rock Band 2 import should be available now through the PSN. However, RockBand.com -- where you'll need to go for the code required for the process -- is currently down pending its (hopefully impending) relaunch, so sit tight! Update: Harmonix's RockBand.com is now live with an export guide. Choose your platform to view the corresponding release list: (Note: Continue past the break to view both release lists.)

The night of All Hallows Eve is quickly approaching, and this week's European PSN update is appropriately 'ween-themed. There's the release of Costume Quest (the relevance of which is obvious), as well as Swords and Soldiers, which is ... a kind of costume, we guess. Then there's new DLC for Dead Rising 2 (spooky!) and Split/Second (which features car crashes, which are even spookier), and finally, there's the launch of the PSOne Classics Pong and Centipede, which have absolutely nothing to do with the Halloween theme whatsoever. For those with the Move, try out the demo for The Shoot. The title if pretty self-explanatory of what one should expect, but check out the trailer if you need more info. The European PSN update continues its hot streak of delivering intimidatingly large piles of games and demos to nosh on -- like, for instance, the first episode of Sonic 4 and Dead Space Ignition, as well as a trial of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2. Handheld aficionados can now pick up the demo for God of War: Ghost of Sparta. There's a ton of DLC too -- check it all out after the jump!
