The clarions of battle sound; some will stand, some will fall. It is the way of Warhammer Online. As a warning to the allies of Order, the Destruction forces have strung the remains of their Dwarven foes across the landscape. This dark and gritty One Shots was sent in by our regular contributor, Snacky, who plays this particular Greenskin on the Iron Claw server. Snacky writes in: Even as a Destruction Greenie, I still have some sympathy when I see how these Dwarfs ended up. I'll never admit it, but I do say a silent prayer that I don't end up like that! Many players love the PvP scenarios in Warhammer Online, but we know it's not the only place with gritty details like these. As such, we're sending out a call to all players -- send us your battle shots! Corp war, battlegrounds, Monster PvP, raiding, we want to see your screens. Just send those to us here at oneshots AT massively DOT com along with your name and a quick description. One Shots needs your screens, so send them in and enjoy your moment in the blog-sun!%Gallery-9798%

The easter eggs are myriad in Warhammer Online, as we've seen from several screenshots sent in to us by various players. There are portals, places that reference other games, and more. Today's One Shots, sent in to us by one of our regular Warhammer Online contributor Snacky, shows off another such find. Here's Snacky with the details: In my search for further easter eggs, I have found numerous "secret plungers" located in difficult to access locations. This one is located near the Dwarf capital. I will leave what happens once you click it to future adventurers. We haven't run across this one as yet, so we've no idea what happens when you hit this one. Hmm.Are you an easter-egg fiend, intent on exploring the worlds you play in? Perhaps you just like finding a gorgeous view that few have ever seen before. If you've got a view, an egg, an achievement or the like that you'd like to share, we want to see your screenshots! Send them in to us here at oneshots AT massively DOT com along with your name and a quick description. Your screenshots and tales keep the story going here at One Shots, so send some in today!%Gallery-9798%

  • One Shots: We are all puppets of Destruction

Just when we thought we'd seen it all in regards to Warhammer Online, something like today's One Shots comes along and firms up the fact that we've really only scratched the surface in this column. We've heard of some pretty interesting ways to taunt your enemies or amuse your friends, but using puppets in an MMO is one we don't generally see. This screenshot, in from our regular Warhammer Online contributor, Snacky (this time reporting in from the Badlands server), shows off one such confusing and yet funny moment. Snacky writes in: In my downtime while waiting for scenarios to pop, I like to amuse myself and the occasional passerby with a puppet show. We're not entirely convinced they're watching the puppet, Snacky. If you're one of the legion of players who are enjoying Warhammer Online, we'd love to see what you've been up to. Alternately, if WAR just wasn't your thing, and you've gone to another game, don't think we don't want to hear from you -- we do! We want screenshots from all MMOs, big and small. (If your game is small, it's a great way to get some free promotion for it!) Just get your game on, grab some screenshots for us and email them in. Our address is oneshots AT massively DOT com. Don't forget to include your name (server/guiid welcome too) and a quick description. We show it off and give you the credit for sending it in. %Gallery-9798%

As Warhammer Online continues to patch in new things, it seems that players who return to older areas are finding new things to enjoy in-game. With the announcement of server merges, we're hoping that we'll also find lots of new people in different areas to group with as well. Today's One Shots is about one such recent Warhammer Online revisit from Snacky (or in this case Gruzugsnarug on the Iron Claw (Oceanic) server, as the character is known) happened upon. Snacky writes: When I first did this starting area, I noticed a cave which I was closed to all who would dare venture off the beaten path. I decided to revisit the area with a new character and was not disappointed. I was greeted with this awesome sight of a Hydra with an escort of dark elf tamers. We love to find new things we missed out on the first time around. If you've found anything you missed out on, we'd love to hear about it. Just send your screens and stories in to us here at oneshots AT massively DOT com along with your name/server/game. We'll post them out here for everyone to enjoy.%Gallery-9798%

We don't know about you, but there's something imposing about a naked dwarf armed only with an enormous wrench and what appears to be a pretty nasty firearm. Sure, many of the naked dwarf issues in Warhammer Online were addressed, but you still have to admit it makes you pause. Today's One Shots, sent in to us by regular Warhammer Online contributor Snacky, shows off the Iron Fist version of Snacky, in scantily-clad and heavily-armed action. Snacky writes: All a dwarf really needs is their trusty wrench and shotgun. Here I am blasting away at relentless Orcs invading a dwarf camp. Calling all MMO players! We need your screenshots for One Shots. If you've seen anything fun (holiday events are awesome) imposing, interesting, or silly, we want to hear from you. If you haven't, gather up your group of friends and go have some fun, then send some screens of that in. All MMOs from large-budget to tiny indie games; from East to West are welcome. Send them to us here at oneshots AT massively DOT com along with your name/server/game and a quick description of what we're seeing. Reader submissions keep One Shots running, so send some in today! %Gallery-9798%

It seems like the Warhammer Online players really like the Inevitable City. We've gotten so many great screenshots from there, and they continue to come in as the days pass. Today's screenshot from regular One Shots contributor, Snacky (this time reporting in from the Red Eye Mountain server) has hit the trifecta of scantily-clad female, a big demon and a cool background! Snacky writes: You just never know when something is going to happen. My dark elf Sorcereress was in the Inevitable City wondering what to do next when all of a sudden this gigantic bird starts walking toward me. I almost fainted! It took me a moment or two before I came to my senses and realized I had to capture this moment to share with others on Massively! We are certainly glad to get screenshots from readers -- especially when they become regular contributors like Snacky. If you've been considering sending in a screenshot of your favorite game, what are you waiting for? Send them in! We love to see lots of different MMOGs, and we rely on you to help us show off scenes from across the mmogosphere. Just send them to us here at oneshots AT massively DOT com along with your name, server, guild and a quick description. We'll do the rest and give you the credit!%Gallery-9798%

  • One Shots: The center of attention

    10.21.2008

That's one thing that you can almost always guarantee as a female running around in the skimpy starter outfits in Warhammer Online -- you'll attract attention wherever you go. Of course, on the flip side, most of the time you don't necessarily attract it in quite as spectacular a manner as Snacky appears to have. Not sure what we mean? Here's Snacky from the Volkmar server with the details: My Shadow Warrior was exploring for some Tome unlocks and I found this group of Magi. They seemed quite pleased to meet me! It could also be that they're quite jealous of the outfit, as theyr'e stuck in what looks like Warhammer Online's version of choir robes. Have you managed to aggro a group of mobs in a rather spectacular fashion? Perhaps you found a new and interesting location that you haven't seen posted here yet? Whatever your game, whatever your reason, we'd love to see your screenshots! Just send them to us here at oneshots AT massively DOT com along with your name/server/guild and a quick description of the action. We'll post them in our gallery for everyone to enjoy and give you the credit. %Gallery-9798%

There's nothing quite as wonderful as taking a peaceful moment out for yourself after a long, hard day. Of course, when we think of something nice to do, lava baths don't immediately spring to mind. But apparently for Snacky from the Iron Fist server, who has become a regular Warhammer Online contributor to One Shots, this is just the thing to soothe an aching back. Snacky writes in: Being as we Dwarves spend so much time in the snowy mountains of our homeland, it's always lovely to get away and warm the chill bones. Here I am at the College of Wizards having myself a little "me" time. It's great to relax, but we have to ask how that lava spurt got there? It looks a little wrong. Have you done something off-the-wall that people might find funny? Perhaps you've got a special place you go to relax after a long day of playing. Whatever the reason, and whatever the game, we want to see your screenshots! Just send them to us here at oneshots AT massively DOT com along with your name/server/guild and a brief description of the shot. We'll post it out here for everyone to check out and give you all the credit! %Gallery-9798%

Although the BlizzCon movie contest was hardly publicized at all -- no press releases about the contest or the winners -- it yielded the cream of the WoW machinima crop so we will be featuring the winning movies here at WoW Moviewatch for the next few days. The winner in each category, as well as the Grand Prize winner, received the newly minted Oswald award to put on their shelves. (I hereby dub thee The Ozzie!) Today we feature the Grand Prize winner, Snacky's Journal - Episode 4 by the typically brilliant Stone Falcon Productions. This film also won the Drama/Romance category (see below), even though I think it is better suited for the Comedy category. It's good, Snackish fun, with high quality film-making and acting, as all the Snackys are. I like the new fem gnome and I hope she continues in the series because she's a cute character and could make for a good foil for Snacky. Here's a list of the other winners, along with links to ones that have been already featured on WoW Insider. We'll feature and comment on some of the others this week. Action/Adventure Category Runner-up: The Future Soon by Spiffworld Runner-up: Mercy of the Sea by Sleeping Dog Productions Winner: Divided Soul by Falch Productions Comedy Category Runner-up: Fruit of Elune by Myndflame Runner-up: The Dead Murloc by KILH Machinima Winner: The Rumpus Machine by Oblivious Films Drama/Romance Category Runner-up: Dead Rain 2 by Bear on a Trampoline Runner-up: Redshift by Slashdance Winner: Snacky's Journal - Episode 4 by Stone Falcon Productions If you have any suggestions for WoW Moviewatch, you can mail them to us at machinima AT wowinsider DOT com.

In the rumble of battle in Warhammer Online, some triumph -- others fall. The wounded are tended, and the sacrifices of the fallen are acknowledged with a grim nod. Today's One Shots comes to us from Snacky of Iron Rock, who came across this scene while traveling around. Snacky writes: As my White Lion was riding through some hills, I came upon this poor unfortunate dwarf who appeared to have been axed in the back. How sad. He didn't even get a chance to fire off a shot with dignity! Perhaps not, but someone seems to have avenged him!If you've found something interesting, cool, or strange, grab a screenshot and send it to us here! We're always on the hunt for more One Shots. Just send it to oneshots AT massively DOT com along with your character name/server/guild and a quick description of what we're seeing. We'll post your screens and give you full credit for it.%Gallery-9798%

Where the clouds pull apart, and the moon changes faces, In the quiet secret places are you there? If you play on the Iron Claw server, you'd likely have run into Snacky who sent us today's Warhammer Online One Shots. While running around, Snacky came across the following scene, and sent this screen to us along with the following note: As my Shaman (why not Shawoman?) was travelling in the land of the Dark Elves, I was overcome with emotion as I stood upon a cliff ledge and watched with fascination the swirling light-show in the sky. If you've found a cool location on your daily travels, we'd love to see it! Just send it in to us here at oneshots AT massively DOT com along with your name/server/guild and a quick description. We'll post it out here for the world to see -- and potentially add in pop-culture references, too!%Gallery-9798%

It's the attack of the 50-foot Chaos female! Okay, okay, not really. This is actually one of those easter eggs we mentioned the other day, which appears to show off a wee teeny little Empire village. Today's One Shot comes to us from Snacky, who is playing on the server Sylvania. Snacky has managed to find both the moon easter egg and this one -- along with another one in Warhammer Online that we'll be posting in the next few days. We're still amused that you can get a title for clicking on yourself a hundred times, so WAR having extra 'eggs' doesn't surprise us at all. If you've found something out of the way in your favorite game, strange, unusual, or interesting, we'd love to see it! Just send your screenshots to us here at oneshots AT massively DOT com along with your name/server/guild and a quick description. We'll post them up here for everyone to puzzle out just how you got there. (Of course, you could tell us, but that's optional.) %Gallery-9798%

  • WoW Moviewatch: Baron Soosdon and Pinkhair win Synergy contest by a landslide

When I wrote about the Warcraftmovies Synergy contest for machinima three days ago, I had no idea just how close of a fight it would be. The results are in and it was literally a battle to the death. Baron Soosdon and Pinkhair beat Martin Falch by a whopping three votes, with final scores of 299 to 296. Over the next few days, we'll be looking at the winners and giving requested feedback to some of the ones that didn't place.Baron Soosdon and Pinkhair's machinima followed along with the Busted script, but there were multiple little touches that really made the film. In addition to weaving his 3d magic throughout, Pinkhair also used a third party program, Crazytalk, to animate the lips of one of the characters. Caruu mastered the sound, while he, Drewbie, Olibith, and Selserene voice acted. There are also tributes to the great Shepiwot, Drewbie's character from The Grind, the Robber Baron of Warsong Gulch, and the cast of Snacky's Journal. Even I played a part in it by ruining their PR campaign -- or so they say! Try to keep in mind that neither script was good, so the contenders didn't have a lot to work with in the way of variation. Now that it's over, I hope that Warcraftmovies will use a different method for their contest next time![Via Warcraftmovies.com]If you have any suggestions for WoW Moviewatch, you can mail them to us at machinima AT wowinsider DOT com.Previously on Moviewatch ...

With the Snacky's Journal Episode 4 teaser released yesterday, I guess I'm feeling a bit nostalgic. This award-winning series, by Stone Falcon Productions, is about a gnome rogue, Snacky, and his night elf friend, Angie. They get into all sorts of trouble together, including murloc mishaps, weight training gone wrong, and a fishing fiasco.Episode 1 introduces us to Snacky through his writings in a journal that Angie gives him. As he is finishing up, he is interrupted by his friend, who suggests that they go murloc tipping. You'll just have to watch to see if things go as planned. Apparently Episide 4 could be the very last, so enjoy the series while you can!

Snacky's Journal, the award-winning series by Stone Falcon Productions, may be coming to a close soon. Jun Falkenstein, the creator of the series, has taken on a job directing a sci-fi film. However, she released this teaser for Snacky 4 yesterday. It looks like Episode 4 may bring Snacky a girlfriend! This preview is short and sweet, but shows much promise, as Snacky and a lady friend are checking out Mechanistriders. How do you think the series will end?[Thanks, Drewbie!]Previously on Moviewatch ...

A video by Stone Falcon Productions well before they became known for the Snacky's series, Goth Girl is the tragic tale of a young Undead -- set to music, of course. It doesn't have quite the same sense of humor as Snacky's Journal or Ballad of the Noob, but its production value is just as high as either. So give it a try and enjoy!Previously on Moviewatch...
