  • Super Hexagon creator unveils free browser-based puzzler Naya's Quest

    Terry Cavanagh recently released a new flash-based game, Naya's Quest. The enjoyable little adventure game has players traversing through an abandoned town to "the edge," an isometric world full of puzzling rooms. The attractive, challenging platformer also has a catchy soundtrack, which Cavanagh created and released on BandCamp. Cavanagh is best known for crafting VVVVVV and Super Hexagon. Naya's Quest is one of six free games listed on Cavanagh's site, and one that you should probably spend time with right now.

  • World 1-2 Encore remix album available now

    The World 1-2 chiptune album released in May now has a follow-up in World 1-2 Encore. The album features 14 tracks from artists like Cory Johnson, Video Game Orchestra and The OneUps. Unlike the first album, it is entirely composed of remixes, so the tunes may sound a little more familiar this time around. World 1-2 Encore is available on BandCamp for $8, and both albums can be purchased in a 34-track bundle for $24.

  • Antichamber half-off on Steam today, soundtrack now available

    Antichamber is on sale for $10 on Steam for today only. If you are only interested in hearing Antichamber, the soundtrack for the game is now available on BandCamp for $6, as well as a four-track "Meditation Walk" ambient album by Antichamber Sound Designer Robin Arnott for $4. The soundtrack, provided by Siddhartha Barnhoorn, features nine tracks in total. You can purchase both albums in a special double album pack for $8 through BandCamp.

  • 'NoiseChan & Nugget: Adventures in Chiptune' features hot jams, good causes

    Chiptune internet radio program Noise Channel Radio, in conjunction with digital music label Ubiktune, has released a compilation album of (surprise!) chiptune jams, dubbed NoiseChan & Nugget: Adventures in Chiptune.The album, available through BandCamp on a pay-what-you-want basis, features songs from Adventure Time/Double Dragon Neon/Contra 4 composer virt, in addition to 10 other artists. Additionally, all album sale proceeds go directly to Child's Play, which means that while Adventures in Chiptune is technically available for free, you could drop some bucks for a good cause.

    The soundtrack for Shoot Many Robots is a blues-infused rock compilation that sets the perfect tone for riding off into the desert sunset, entering a room dramatically, driving around the city at night with your sunglasses on and, yes, shooting many robots.This melodic amalgamation was thrown together by Fez composer Disasterpeace (Rich Vreeland), and the whole album is available now on Bandcamp for $5.Give it a listen before you buy right here, and all the best of luck with those pesky robots. We hear there's a lot of them.

    You might have seen Indie Game: The Movie. But have you heard it? Without all the pictures, and the talking? If you'd like to experience the soundtrack to the movie (by Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP composer Jim Guthrie) in isolation, you can now pre-order it from Bandcamp and iTunes, due on May 15.If you'd like something tangible with your audible goods, you can opt for the double LP vinyl release, or pick up a t-shirt with your digital or vinyl album. Both the LP and the t-shirt feature new artwork by designer Cory Schmitz, whose work you may be wearing right now! And if you have yet to see the movie, you can find out here if a screening is coming up near you.

    Fez is officially and finally coming out on Friday, April 13, but half of the highly anticipated experience is available now: The Fez soundtrack from Disasterpeace is available in its entirety via Spotify right now, or for pre-order and sampling on Bandcamp.Before anyone says, "Wutevs not every1 has been waiting 4 Fez for 5 yrs STFU u guise," the soundtrack is currently number one on Bandcamp, so it's not completely off the mainstream radar. Personally, we've been listening to the soundtrack all day and already we feel more well-rounded.

  • The Flying Hamster's soundtrack takes off on a solo flight

    The music from The Game Atelier's PlayStation Mini/iOS cute-em-up The Flying Hamster is now available without all that cumbersome game. The developer has released the soundtrack on Bandcamp, so you can close your eyes and dream about flying around using a leaf helicopter tied to your belt. You can stream it from Bandcamp for free, or if you want it to fly into your iPod, you can download a copy from Bandcamp or your favorite MP3 store for $3.99. To sweeten the deal, the album download includes an unreleased bonus track.
