Actually this kitten may be getting a blast of warm air, depending, but the cat looks content to bask in the glow of an iMac's screen during naptime. Something fun for a Saturday as we cruise towards Halloween. Got a Caturday pic? Send it to us via our feedback page. Don't like Caturday posts? Here's a tip. Thanks to Thad for the photo.

Cats love computers, but love mice even more. This kitty appears to be using an old Pro mouse, the ones Apple used to replace the nearly-universally reviled hockey puck mice. No cat would touch a hockey puck. Got a cat pic that involves an Apple product? Send it along via our feedback page. Thanks Marius!

Late on Caturday, reader Paulo Vinicius Vitto Ruthes shares his cat's preference for a warm alcove atop the Mac mini Airport Extreme, sorry. He notes that the image is a bit old, and while the cat still likes that spot it's not so easy for him to fit there anymore -- see below. If you've got a Caturday candidate, please let us know.

On top of the already extended maintenance today, many US realms, as it turns out, will be undergoing even more extended maintenance. The ETA for completion on this is 1:00 PM PDT. The Reckoning, Vengeance, and Bloodlust battlegroups are affected. This includes my own realm -- there go my plans for leveling my druid this afternoon. Realms not on this list are currently up and available for play, so maybe I'll go hang with ICftB on Zangarmarsh. The complete list of affected realms is: Aegwynn, Akama, Aman'Thul, Arathor, Barthilas, Blackrock, Bonechewer, Caelestrasz, Chromaggus, Dath'Remar, Dragonmaw, Drak'thul, Draka, Dreadmaul, Eitrigg, Eldre'Thalas, Firetree, Frostmane, Frostmourne, Frostwolf, Garithos, Gurubashi, Hakkar, Jubei'Thos, Khaz Modan, Khaz'goroth, Kil'Jaeden, Kilrogg, Korgath, Kul Tiras, Malorne, Mug'thol, Muradin, Nagrand, Nathrezim, Ner'zhul, Proudmoore, Rexxar, Runetotem, Scarlet Crusade, Sen'jin, Shadow Council, Shadowsong, Silver Hand, Silvermoon, Skywall, Smolderthorn, Spirestone, Terenas, Thaurissan, Thorium Brotherhood, Tichondrius, Vek'nilash, Windrunner. Again, these realms will allegedly be up at 1:00 PM PDT/4:00 PM EDT.Update (4:15 PM): All realms appear to be online and operational.

Because Blizzard loves you so much, the following realms will get a brief, exclusive maintenance period tomorrow morning, February 26 27, from 5:00 AM PST to about 6:15 AM PST:AgamagganAzsharaBaelgunDark IronDetherocEmerald DreamGreymaneKalecgosLightninghoofMaelstromMalfurionMoonrunnerNazjatarSargerasStaghelmTwisting NetherUrsinWildhammerPrepare your emergency Caturday festivities. Or you could always visit another realm or the PTR, or make some breakfast. May I suggest these popovers? They are easy and delicious. If you start them when the realms go down, they should be ready to pull out of the oven for fresh play-snacking when the realms come back up.

  • Wii Warm Up: Cats, but not necessarily LOL

By now, you may have seen the, uh, interesting Geometry Wars Galaxies ads that feature ... well, we don't really want to call them lolcats, because they don't really make us laugh. And isn't that the point? Anyone can take a picture of a cat and slap a caption on it. That isn't the source of the funny. The cats need to be doing something -- see exhibits A and B -- to bring the funny. At least, that's our opinion. You can see our take on bland, humorless lolcats above (with special thanks to Y.T. for mostly cooperating). But hey, maybe you like what they're doing. Let's hear what you have to say!

  • DS Fanswag: Win your own Nintendo DS Browser

Move over, Caturday -- it's time for DS macros to take the stage. It's no secret that we're somewhat fond of those memes from the internets around here. Some may even say we're too fond, but really, is that even possible? Can there be a meme overload? Let's test it and find out. We've got a shiny new copy of the Nintendo DS Browser (Lite or Phat -- your choice!) up for grabs for the best DS macro. That's right, folks: we want to see DS macros. Cat macros are so yesterday. The DS is the new cat.The best DS macro (as judged by the DS Fanboy staff) will win its creator this spankin' new browser, and we'll send out a couple of those Jimi game shells to the runner-up. And yes, fan folks -- if you can manage to incorporate both the DS and a cat or two, it might just earn you bonus points. All you have to do is make a lolDS pic (we expect to see a lot of weeping hinge cracks) and e-mail it as an attachment (along with your responses to this form, which allows us to post the winners) to dsfanboy.contests [at] gmail.com with "lolDS contest" in the subject line. You can enter as many times as you'd like, but please, for our sanity and yours, send only one DS macro per e-mail. Get cracking, because this contest is only open through Friday, August 24; anything received after the clock ticks over onto Saturday on the east cost will be discarded. We'll announce the winners on Monday, August 27, and also show off the best DS macros, as created by you.Don't forget to check out the official rules, as there are some very particular guidelines that must be followed if you want your entries considered. Specifically, if you are under eighteen, you must supply not only your e-mail address, but a valid e-mail address for your parents as well, so that we may notify them that you are entering this contest. Parents who do not wish their minor children to participate may have those entries removed by e-mailing us at remove.requests [at] dsfanboy.com. And once again, to the disappointment of our international readers, this contest is open only to residents of the U.S. Though we've already listed the form above, if you wish to enter, you must agree to and include this information, which means you agree to the terms and conditions of our contest as laid out in the official rules. Get reading, get clicking, and start making some pictures!
