Then, as our two months are up, we'll do it all over again in a new game! I don't think it's any secret that when I started this series in Aion, I wasn't having the best time. I was a bit irritated at the grind and seeing the same exact monsters every few levels. The linear nature of the quests pushing me forward on rails didn't help, either. But as you may be able to tell, I seem to be enjoying myself more and more each week. This week is no exception. In fact, I would say my interest in the game has doubled since last CmA. Why? While I found myself grinding much more than ever, I actually enjoyed it. Plus, I'm finally in a legion! So while we sit twiddling our thumbs, awaiting 1.9's arrival today, it's good to know we have a tale of bravery, heroism and camaraderie to keep us entertained and distracted. The Daily Quest: Me tanks
Here at WoW.com we're on a Daily Quest (which we try to do every day, honest) to bring you interesting, informative and entertaining WoW-related links from around the blogosphere. It's Monday, which means I'll be plunking around on a troll warrior this evening thanks to the Choose My Adventure program. Shamefully, while I've done plenty of questing, I haven't really done much in the way of instances or tanking. This is due to some deep-seated fear that I'm going to be the horrible tank that gets the healer killed by a runaway add, the obnoxious tank that lives by the philosophy "Continuously pull threat off of me and I will let your cloth-wearing hiney tank that mob" or just simple fear of complete and utter incompetence in general. Thankfully there's plenty out there in the WoW blogosphere regarding tanking: The Wayward Initiative likes to stand in front of things that mean them harm. Righteous Defense serves up three impenetrable facts about armor as well as introducing the cooldown you can chug. Tankingtips reflects on 6 or 7 tanking mistakes you'll consistently make, as well as discussing the Dungeon Tool and how it is ruining your chances of Raid Tanking. This is doing little to ease my fears. Let's go to The Stoppable Force for a reassuring and cheery musical number instead.

It looks like we'll be heading to Stranglethorn Vale by an overwhelming majority. As for Matthew Rossi's mage, you voted to have him keep it. Technically, there were more votes for other classes if you add them together. So I gave Matt the option of switching to druid (the winner of the other classes) or remaining a mage. He chose to keep Andrenorton. The schedule changed a teeny bit since it's a holiday week. The Aion adventures continued this week throughout most of Altgard as my Spiritmaster now sits at a healthy level 17 (and a half!). Sure, it's not 20 just yet (where I'm told the fun "begins"), but I'm getting there. Last week's poll-less comments seemed to work really well at this point in the game, so I'm going to repeat that method this week. The general consensus was that I need to just level as quickly as I can, so with the help of another double XP weekend, I did the best a grind-hating MMO player could do. Last week's vote chose my crafting profession, and adventuring through further areas of Altgard showed me that there's so much more out there to kill than walking lizards and rainbow storks.
