  • Deal of the Day of Honor

Should you need a good dose of point and shoot in your games library, you might feel inclined to take advantage of Amazon's "Deal of the Day." At $32.99, you can shoot up some Nazis for pretty cheaply by getting the Wii version of Medal of Honor: Heroes 2. We think it's a pretty good game (unless you live in Australia), and it used to be Dave's favorite Wii title to play on Game Night until that Nintendo brawler came out. Does anyone think that they'll bite on today's deal? If so, just make sure you do it before 3am EDT.%Gallery-6588%

How does some half price demon killing action sound? This is only for UK Devil May Cry 4 fans we're afraid, but Amazon are offering the latest episode of the franchise for only £25. There's no saying how long this deal will last, so be sure to grab it before it ends. If it ends. If you're not entirely sure about whether the game is for you, then check out our review (spoiler: it rocks).[Thanks Charlie]

  • Deal of the Evening: WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 for $30

Wrestling is a strange phenomenon. There are avid fans and there are those who simply find it absolutely confusing. Not the event itself, but the fact the world has allowed it to remain for so long. This deal isn't for them -- it's for you, the fans. Amazon currently has a deal for WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 for the low price of $30. This is much less than watching a match on Pay-Per-View, so really, you'd be doing yourselves a big favor.

Not many of you seemed too excited when WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 came out, but then again, that was the same week as Super Mario Galaxy's North American release. Also, at that time, the game would have cost you a cool $50 to buy. Now, though, thanks to Amazon and its video game "Deal of the Day" promotion, you can get the game for half the price (or, for those of you that are terrible at math, $25). As per usual, this sale will end at 3 A.M. EDT, so if you want this title you better be ready to succumb to your inner impulse buyer. Also, if you like to wrassle but aren't too keen on doing so on your Wii, today's DotD extends to every other console under the sun.

Wondering what to do with that PS3 while your thumbs are recovering from all the video gaming you do daily? How about hunkering down and getting some bargain basement deals on Blu-ray titles you've always wanted, but never actually purchased? Heck, you can get two seasons of Weeds for a total of little more than $30 after shipping. On Blu-ray. There are a lot more deals to be had, so check out the full list at your own discretion and remember: it is the better part of valor ... and prevents going into debt.[Via Slickdeals.net]

Amazon currently has a pretty sweet Deal of the Day (or an awful one if, like this blogger, you get paid tomorrow): a Platinum GameCube for just $50. Obviously, if you're reading this site, you probably already have at least one way to play 'Cube games, in which case we advise you view this as a chance to: Plump up your Nintendo console collection. Invest in a cheap gift for a loved one. Grab a spare if the unthinkable should ever happen. Buy two and duct-tape them together for a $100 Wii. [Via The Tanooki]

If you've been worried about your PSP getting scratched, whether it be on the screen or the sexy body of the handheld, we've got to alert you to a deal presented on the PlayStation Forums. Seems the InvisibleSHIELD products are all half off right now -- every model of the PSP has their own little protection piece, so knock yourself out. It might be a good idea, especially if you go rock climbing while carrying the PSP in an unzipped jacket pocket. Not that we've had that problem or anything.[via PlayStation Forum]

  • Deal of the Day: Castlevania for $20 at Amazon

We haven't heard much about Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles as of late, but that's probably because everyone's been hunkered down playing it. For those who haven't, however, have we got a deal for you! Right now, Amazon has slashed the price on the game to only $20 with free shipping. Our very own Nick Doerr gave the game an 8.5 when he reviewed it, and even said, "If you love Castlevania, this is the definitive game to get." Well, there you have it; if you're a Castlevania fan, this should definitely be in your library. Via CAG

  • Cooking Mama and Madcatz component cable for cheap at Amazon

Amazon has had some odd "Deal of the Day" sales lately, and today's deal (a Wii Madcatz component cable) is no exception. If you're in need of a component cable for your Wii, though, it might be worth getting. While many of you are often hesitant to buy non-Nintendo accessories, the customer reviews for this cable are overwhelmingly positive. Also, at today's deal price of $10, the cable is almost $20 less than the Nintendo brand one. Also of note is that Cooking Mama for the Wii is on sale at Amazon for $30. We know what you're thinking: "Wasn't Cooking Mama always $30?" The answer is no, but it should have been. The game is being sold through Target, however, which means you can't take advantage of Amazon's sweet free shipping. We're also not sure how long this deal will last, so if you're interested, we recommend jumping on it as soon as possible.[Via CAG]Read - Madcatz component cableRead - Cooking Mama: Cook Off (Wii)

  • If you need a DS Lite adapter, today's the day to get one

    by

Since the official DS Lite AC Adapter is a much better way to go about charging your DS than the crank we showed you earlier today, we thought we'd let you know that this accessory happens to be Amazon's video game related "Deal of the Day."We assume that this is a useless deal for most of you, since DS Lites come with one, but we're sure some of you have either misplaced yours or want an extra for traveling. Still, be careful; while the adapter is marked off by $5 (meaning that it only costs $10), you'll have to pay for shipping unless you're a Prime member or find $15 worth of other merchandise to add to your cart. Without the free shipping, this really isn't much of a deal at all.

If you're like us and got some much-needed time off during the holidays, you were probably able to catch up on a lot of gaming. And now that you've played all your games and have all those gift cards from Christmas, what is a gamer to do? Well, thanks to CheapyD and speedy1961 at Cheapass Gamer, you'll be able to restock your backlog of games as they've compiled the best deals from this past Sunday's ads.Best Buy Rainbow Six: Vegas - $40 Resistance: Fall Of Man - $40 Need For Speed: Pro Street - $40 Circuit City Assassin's Creed - $45 Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 - $45 This is pretty much the cheapest we've seen several of these games, and we're still surprised at how well Resistance has been able to keep its market value despite it being a launch title. Keep in mind, these deals are good for online and in-store, but you'll have to pay for shipping, which can ruin the good deal.

  • Deal of the day: Logitech Precision controller for $10 at Amazon

    12.31.2007

Yeah, we know what you're saying to yourself, "This is a really great deal!" right? Well, it is, but you'll have to do a little more work than usual. To get the wireless Logitech Precision controller for $10, you have to buy it by today and submit a $20 mail-in rebate by the end of January. This deal effectively ends at the last second of the year.Even without the $20 MIR, you'd still be getting the controller for $10 off its listed price of $40, so we'd say this is a pretty darn good deal either way.So if you opened up a shiny new PS3 this Christmas but need an extra controller or two, you can't really get a better deal than this. You just better hop on it before it's too late![Via CAG]

Despite GameStop being the biggest video game retail chain in this universe, Gamefly routinely has much better deals on used games. Plus, the online rental chain always guarantees boxes and manuals with its games, something that GameStop doesn't do.To prove my previous assertion, Gamefly is having a sale for the ages with free shipping on every game until Jan. 4. Plus, if you're already a subscriber, you'll get 5-to-10 percent off each game. Here are just a few of the great deals to be had. MLB 2K7 - $13 All-Pro Football 2K8 - $15 Tony Hawk's Project 8 $20 Sega Rally Revo - $20 The Bigs - $20 F.E.A.R. First Encounter - $25 Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - $26 Sure, these games may not be the cream of the PS3's proverbial crop, but they're all pretty solid titles, and if you haven't had the chance to play them yet, here's a great opportunity.

And right now, you can pick up the Pysclone Nodus Speaker System for $15 shipped at NewDayNewDeal.com.Powered by two 15-watt speakers, the Psyclone Nodus also doubles as a PSP docking station allowing you to recharge your PSP while watching videos or listening to your favorite mp3s. If you've been wondering how you can get into the Armored Core series, but don't want to "suffer" with the PS2 titles, you may have looked at the fourth iteration of the series as an entry point. There's a lot of mecha tweaking and customizing to be found, but the gameplay was found to be lacking. Still, at an entry price of $17, even the moderately interesting may take the plunge. Sure, it's the Asian version and most of the vocals are not in English, but you do get an English instruction sheet (probably more accurate to say an Engrish instruction sheet) and some subtitles in parts of the game. It's up to you guys to take advantage or to let it slide, but it's our deal of the day.[Thanks Michael!]

If you've read our review, you'll know that newbies should beware, but players of previous iterations will feel right at home with their b-ball (if the kids seriously are still calling it that) skills.[Via CAG]
