Even though the release list for this week is painfully long (for our wallets, at least), we can't help but feel that something is missing ... Nevermind. When you see this week's releases you'll have no trouble putting the week-long delay of LittleBigPlanet at the back of your mind. There are literally too many to choose from -- and this is just one week's worth of games. Here's the full release list:US Games Rock Band 2 [Special Edition] Midnight Club: Los Angeles Disney Sing It Eternal Sonata The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon BioShock Far Cry 2 Spider Man: Web of Shadows EU Games Far Cry 2 (Collector's Edition available at GAME) Dead Space MotoGP 08 Midnight Club: Los Angeles Spider Man: Web of Shadows Monopoly Blitz The League II Asian Games NBA Live 09 Release dates are constantly subject to change, so be sure to check with your local store if you're uncertain. Also, feel free to import your games from other regions -- your PS3 loves exotic food. But keep in mind that DLC always needs to be purchased from the corresponding region. So if you have a US copy of Rock Band 2 you're going to be buying your tracks from the US PSN Store.

Nothing too special this week, but they can't all be winners, right? The fact that we can now call two demos and a bunch of add-on content a mediocre update nowadays must mean that Sony is doing something right. Tempted by Eye of Judgment set three? No? How about if we remind you that it includes trophies? It's going to be tough picking what to pick up in the next few months there are just too many games. Here's the full release list: Playable content Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway demo (free) MotorStorm Pacific Rift demo (free) Add-on content Eye of Judgment Biolith Rebellion set 3 (£6.99/€9.99) Eye of Judgment Biolith Rebellion set 2 & 3 (£10.49/€14.99) Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 "Firestone County Club" (£4.99/€7.49) Rock Band DLC (Listed after the break)

It's Thursday? Really? Time means nothing here in Tokyo. We've done some phoning around, however, and it turns out the EU PSN Store has been updated. Linger In Shadows is respectfully priced (though we have no idea how much content the "game" includes) and we're definitely looking forward to trying the Valkyria Chronicles demo. If that doesn't tickle your fancy, there's got to be an add-on or two down there that interests you. Check below for the full list, as usual.Playable content Linger In Shadows full game (£1.99/€2.99) Valkyria Chronicles demo Hail to the Chimp demo Super Stardust HD "Complete" (£6.99/€9.99) Add-on content Buzz! Quiz TV "Comedy Movie" Quiz pack (£3.49/€4.99) NBA Live 365 expansion (£6.99/€9.99) NBA Live 09 "Oklahoma City" pack (free) Rocketmen: It Came From Uranus expansion pack (£1.99/€2.99) Super Stardust HD "Double Pack" (£2.49/€5.99) Everybody's Golf: World Tour Costume Pack (£3.19/€3.99) Mega Man 9 "Endless Attack" mode (£1.99/€2.99) Mega Man 9 "Proto Man" character (£1.49/€1.99) Rock Band DLC (listed after the break)

Did anyone else think that the Fracture demo wasn't as abysmal as you were expecting? Sure, it was the epitome of mediocre third-person action with a gimmick attached, but at times it was almost fun. Well the full game is out this week in both the US and Europe and, unless you're a European lego fan with vigilante tendencies, that's pretty much it. Oh, except for basketball. Lots of basketball. Here's the full release list:US Games Fracture NBA 2K9 NBA Live 2009 NBA 09: The Inside EU Games Lego Batman Fracture NBA 2K9 NBA Live 09 Asian Games NBA 09: The Inside NBA Live 09 Guitar Hero III Guitar Hero Aerosmith Release dates are constantly subject to change, so be sure to check with your local retailer before making any sudden moves. Your PS3 will play games from any region, so go ahead and import anything you see above. Do be aware that DLC is locked to specific regions, though, so European games will require DLC from the Euro PSN Store. You may also be interested to know that NBA 09: The Inside is the only NBA game to support trophies.

Quite a long list of content today, particularly if you include all the Rock Band and FIFA 09 downloadable content. Two more Rock Band albums are released today, leaving Europe up to date with DLC. Until the American PSN update later today, that is. Geon comes to Europe, with trophies in tow, along with the PES 09 demo (we know a lot of you'll be happy about that) and the Bioshock demo. Also, be sure to grab the PixelJunk Eden soundtrack. At this price, you'd be daft not to. Plus, it's DRM free, so you can listen to it on any device you like (we'll be using it as our WipEout HD soundtrack). Here's the full release list:Playable content Geon full game (£4.99/€7.99) Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 demo (free) Bioshock demo (free) Add-on content FIFA 09 Live Seasons (listed after the break) Rock Band DLC (listed after the break) Music PixelJunk Eden Soundtrack (£1.49/€1.99) PixelJunk Monsters Soundtrack (£1.49/€1.99) Videos Facebreaker "Auditions" Part 1 Facebreaker "Auditions" Part 2 Facebreaker "Auditions" Part 3 Tomb Raider Underworld trailer GT Academy - The Finalists Themes and Wallpapers Fallout 3 "Pip-Boy 3000" theme Prince of Persia "Corrupted Landscape" wallpaper Prince of Persia "Healed Landscape" wallpaper

Silent Hill is coming home this week. For America and Asia, that is. Europe has about another month to wait, but instead get the latest iteration in the never ending FIFA franchise. That's it for this week, but here's the info in a handy bullet-point list:US Games Silent Hill: Homecoming EU Games FIFA 09 Asian Games Silent Hill: Homecoming Release dates are constantly subject to change. If you're worried, then check with your local retailer. Europeans, feel free to import Silent Hill: Homecoming, if you're desperate. Just be aware that imported games must have downloadable content from their respective regions. Not that we suspect Silent Hill: Homecoming will be getting any DLC.

It's PSN update day, which (sometimes) means new downloadable content. Today Sony has plonked a couple of full PSP games onto the store for those of you who enjoy the Burnout series. If you're a PS3 owner you're probably already celebrating the Burnout Paradise trophy patch, or the opportunity to pick the game up off the PSN Store for the budget price of £25/€30. If not, then feel free to get your Burnout fix from one (of both) of these full PSP titles. Not a Burnout fan? Bad luck. Here's the full release list: Burnout Legends (£14.99/€19.99) Burnout Domination (£17.99/€24.99)

Are you ready for the best PSN update you've ever seen? Until the US update occurs later today, that is. We had no idea it was coming to Europe, but Burnout Paradise is now available at the ridiculously affordable price of £25/€30. Definitely worth picking up if you don't have it, especially after today's trophy patch. WipEout HD makes its triumphant debut today as well, alongside Mega Man 9 and two Burnout titles for the PSP. Blimey. There are also more demos, add ons, videos and themes (including a Bioshock one which we're looking forward to seeing). Stop reading this blurb and check out the full list of content:Playable content WipEout HD full game (£11.99/€17.99) Burnout Paradise full game (£24.99/€29.99) Mega Man 9 full game (£6.99/€9.99) Mercenaries 2 demo Beijing 2008 demo Mega Man 9 demo Burnout Legends full PSP game (£14.99/€19.99) Burnout Dominator full PSP game (£17.99/€24.99) Add-on content Buzz! Quiz TV "Video Games" quiz (£3.49/€4.99) Rock Band DLC (listed after the break) High Stakes Poker add-on 2 (free)

It's almost like magic. The first day of Autumn hits tomorrow and the game industry intends to start the season as it means to go on. In short, by throwing game after game directly at your face until your wallet sits empty and your hands are blistered from constant gaming. Ouch. Here's the full release list:US Games Baja: Edge of Control Buzz! Quiz TV Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2009 Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway (Limited Edition) Lego Batman EU Games Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway Pure SBK 08: Superbike World Championship 2008 NHL 09 G1 Jockey 4 2008 Baja: Edge of Control Asian Games Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway Aquanaut's Holiday Madden NFL 09 Ratchet & Clank: Quest For Booty Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 X Edge Release dates are constantly subject to change, so contact your local retailer if you're uncertain. Feel free to go on an import spree if you feel like it, but keep in mind that DLC for any game generally has to be bought from the PSN store of the same region.

That's more like it. Have you noticed that we haven't been moaning about European PSN releases for a little while? That's because SCEE has clearly stepped up their game. Big releases are nigh-on simultaneous and demos and add-ons are rarely late, either. Being a European is pretty good this week, with three demos, two song packs for Rock Band and some decent videos and themes. Here's the full release list:Playable content Fracture demo SoulCalibur IV demo NBA Live 09 demo Add-on content Rock Band DLC (listed after the break) Rock Band Song Export Key (£2.49/€3.49) Having said that, the Rock Band DLC is lagging slightly, but we're going to give them the benefit of the doubt for a few weeks, until they get everything synced up properly. The most confusing thing about this update is the Rock Band Son Export Key. Why would Europe need that now, if Rock Band 2 is nowhere in sight? Unless EA is going to surprise the region with a sooner-than-expected (ie, within the next 6 months) release? Who knows. What it does mean is that the song export patch (which includes GHIII controller compatability) should be available soon. Right?

This week the Force unleashes worldwide whilst Americans get their hands on off-road racer, Pure. Europeans can enjoy recording TV onto their PS3 hard discs (while playing games, no less) and the Japanese finally get their hands on Eternal Sonata (though they choose to call if Trusty Bell, and why not?) Here's the full release list:US Games Star Wars: The Force Unleashed[Get a free $20 gift card at Toys R Us stores; Get a free $5 gift card at Circuit City] Armored Core: For Answer Pure EU Games Star Wars: The Force Unleashed PlayTV Asian Games Star Wars: The Force Unleashed GI Jockey 4 2008 Trusty Bell: Chopin no Yume Unreal Tournament 3 Don't forget, release dates are constantly subject to change, so check with your local retailer if you need any of the above information confirmed. We're now only a month away from one of our most anticipated titles of the year -- Dead Space starts the holiday season off on October 14th and after that it's a terrifyingly expensive avalanche of titles until years end.

Yes, today's European PSN update (which should've been yesterday's update) is late, but it's also pretty good. Finally Europeans get their hands on1942 and all of Rock Band's DLC to date. There're also a few demos and plenty of add-ons for PAIN and Guitar Hero III. Here's the full release list:Playable Content 1942: Joint Strike full game (£6.99/€9.99) 1942: Joint Strike demo Elefunk demo PlayTV demo Fifa 09 demo Add-on Content PAIN Amusement Park expansion (£3.49/€4.99) PAIN Kenneth character (£0.69/€0.99) PAIN Yeony character (£0.69/€0.99) PAIN Tati character (£0.69/€0.99) Rock Band DLC (yeah, all of it -- pricing after the break) Guitar Hero III DLC (listed after the break)

Were you constantly refreshing the site, wondering when today's Euro PSN update was going to be? Well, you can stop hitting F5 folks. It's not happening today. "Unfortunately, a minor technical problem has caused a delay to today's PLAYSTATION Store for PS3 release of new content. We will get the content uploaded for you as soon as is possible."Now the ETA for this week's update is tomorrow. As usual, we'll have the full list when we get our hands on it.[Thanks, Myles M.!]

We were hoping this "release list" thing would only be a temporary feature at PS3 Fanboy, but those pesky developers just won't stop making games! Another batch is unleashed onto the world this week, including two hockey games for you lucky North Americans. Also, remember Rock Band? Sure, it may be almost a year old, but it's finally getting a European release on PS3. Just in time for next month's release of Rock Band 2 in the US. Aren't regions great? Here's the full release list:US Games NHL 2K9 NHL 2009 TNA Impact! EU Games Rock Band TNA Impact! NHL 2K9 Asian Games Double Clutch Stranglehold Release dates are constantly subject to change. Be sure to check with your local retailer if you're uncertain. If you fancy something from abroad, go ahead and do it. Your PS3 won't mind, but remember that DLC is always region locked, so you'll need to get it from a foreign PSN store.

Don't get too excited. There's nothing of any real interest in today's PC Store update. That is, unless you're into managing your PSP's content via a handy PC application. The Media Manager (version 2.5, no less) is now available for free on the European PC Store and lets you drag and drop content from your PC to your PSP, previewing as you go. Oh, there's also the next episode of Movement. Here's the info in handy list form: Media Manager 2.5 (free) Movement episode 5, part 2 -- "London" (free, includes 8 videos)

Short and sweet update this week, but nothing to be sniffed at. Two demos and two add-on packs mean there's something for pretty much everyone. If you're into driving, hockey or Haze (yeah, we thought not), that is. Warhawk fans have probably already grabbed last week's booster pack, but those new to the game might be tempted by the low-price triple combo pack. Here's the full release list:Playable content Pure demo (free) NHL 2K8 demo (free) Add-on content Warhawk "Triple Combo" pack (£7.99/€11.99 -- contains all three booster packs) Haze "Destruction" pack (£3.49/€4.99) Videos Movement episode 5, part 2 -- "London" (includes 8 videos) Wallpapers and themes 4x SoulCalibur 4 wallpapers

Have you noticed? The nights are drawing in, the temperature is dropping and actual games are being released. Clearly Summer is coming to a close, bringing the reasonably short games drought to an end for another year. Hold on to your wallets, because it's pretty much a non-stop tidal wave of quality titles until Christmas. Check with your local retailer. They'll know, fo sho'.
