Today's update is slightly disappointing, but at least there's a playable demo of HAWX. There's also the normal DLC for your rhythm games but, sadly, no sign of any LittleBigPlanet DLC. PSP owners have two full games to purchase and SCEE might finally have got their pricing right. Street Fighter IV players who might want a new look for their favorite character also have the opportunity of buying new costumes. Today's update is a little late arriving, but thankfully it's now finally here. Our Noby Noby Boy desires can now be fulfilled. There's also Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, though we suspect most of those who were interested in that will be waiting for Street Fighter IV tomorrow. PSP owners have a load of full downloadable UMD titles to choose from, though we're not sure Sony has yet learnt its lesson about pricing for those yet. Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle Cars finally, actually, really comes out today. That's right, no more delays -- and no more masquerading as a demo. That's not the highlight of today's PSN update, however, considering that Flower is blooming worldwide; and we highly recommend that you get to pollinating. Additionally, PSP owners have a Resistance Retribution demo and ... that's about it. Still, now you can get a sense of why we think Retribution will be better than the franchise's PS3 entries. (Did we really just say that?) Choose your platform to view the corresponding release list: (Note: Continue past the break to view both release lists.)

Killzone 2 demo. You may want to download it. Unlike your less fortunate friends in America, this download is free for all -- no pre-order required. You HAVE to be in Europe in order to download this demo. There is absolutely NO WAY you can trick the system. At all. No way.** This was a lie. Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle Cars finally got released in Europe today after weeks of delays. There's also a decent bunch of downloadable content, including a bumper selection of LittleBigPlanet goodies. If you're feeling particularly masochistic you can also grab the Final Fantasy XIII trailer -- just be warned that 2010 may feel as if it's never coming once you see it.Choose your platform to view the corresponding release list: PS3 / PSP (Note: Continue past the break to view both release lists.)

Hi Europe. Welcome to October 2008. Rock Band 2's out now. Finally. At least you don't have to wait for all the downloadable content, that's been kept nicely up to date thanks to its compatibility with Rock Band 1. In the US two new games are seeing release and, as usual, Japan is playing catch up. Here's the full release list:US Games MLB Front Office Manager Afro Samurai EU Games Rock Band 2 Asian Games Skate 2 Tomb Raider Underworld Don't forget PS3 games are region free, so feel free to go ahead and import any game from this list. The only caveat is that any DLC will need to be purchased from the respective PSN Store, which could be a problem. Release dates are constantly subject to change, so be sure to check with your local retailer.

Pretty big update for Europe today. Lots of downloadable games, including Everyday Shooter, Tom Clancy's EndWar and even a couple of random PS1 titles. Prices range from "impulse buy" to "forty quid, really?" As for Everyday Shooter no-one should pass up such an excellent game for this price. Especially if you never played it on PS3. Here's the full release list: Tom Clancy's EndWar full game (£39.99/€49.99) Riff: Everyday Shooter full game (£6.29/€7.99) EA Replay full game (£15.99/€19.99) Super Pocket Tennis full game (£7.99/€9.99) Disney's Action Game Featuring Hercules PS1 game (£3.99/€5.99) The Little Mermaid II PS1 game (£3.99/€5.99)

EA continues its January release schedule with Skate 2 which, no doubt, will be a bit better than Lord of the Rings: Conquest turned out to be. Hopefully. Asia continues to play catch-up, as ever, with Prince of Persia and WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2009. Here's the full release list:US Games Skate 2 EU Games Skate 2 Asian Games Skate 2 Prince of Persia WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2009 PS3 games are region free. Not that it matters this week, but if you're feeling particularly barmy you could always import a version of Skate 2 from abroad. It'll still work. Though any downloadable content would need to be downloaded from the appropriate region's PSN Store, so it's probably best not to. Release dates are constantly subject to change, so confirm with your local retailer before you leave the house.

Today's update isn't bad. Certainly not as bad as last week's, but there's something missing. Maybe it's the lack of LittleBigPlanet DLC (which is promised to start again next week), or maybe it's the lack of Street Fighter II HD, Penny Arcade and Lumines. What we do have are two demos, plenty of DLC and Creat Studio's fourth title, Magic Ball. It also appears that Europe is finally able to download all the High Velocity Bowling DLC that America has been hoarding for months now. Here's the full list:Playable Content Magic Ball full game (£7.99) Dead Space demo Skate 2 demo Add-on Content WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2008 roster update (£3.19) 3x Shaun White Snowboarding add-on packs (2x £3.99, 1x free) Brain Challenge expansion pack (£2.39) Rock Band DLC (listed after the break) Guitar Hero World Tour DLC (listed after the break) High Velocity Bowling DLC (listed after the break)

Lord of the Rings: Conquest releases worldwide this week, while Japan plays catch up with games like Fallout 3 and GRID. This is just a tease, then the craziness begins with two months of massive releases like Street Fighter IV, Killzone 2 and Resident Evil 5. It'll be like Christmas all over again. Today's PSN update brings PSP owners a couple of new games to download, as well as some more map packs for Go!Explore. There's also a trailer for a game that no-one cares about. Everything seems a little expensive for our tastes, but thanks to the weak pound, Europeans are probably getting a good deal. Here's the full release list: Free Running full game (£15.99) FlatOut Head On full game (£9.99) Go!Explore Europe map pack (£31.99) Go!Explore North America map pack (£24.99) Go!Explore Russia map pack (£15.99) Brain Challenge trailer

Not a massive update today. A hand full of add-ons and videos arrive alongside the Lord of the Rings: Conquest demo. Okay, Europe. It looks like SCEE is trying to make things up to you for being a day late with your PSN update. Sure, America got its hands on Suikoden yesterday, but you've got five full games to choose from. Dead Head Fred is the best of the bunch, though it's sadly the most expensive, too. Fighting game fans will be in heaven with Street Fighter Alpha Warrior's Dreams as well as Guilty Gear Judgement to choose from. Here's the full release list: Street Fighter Alpha Warriors' Dreams PS1 game (£4.79/€5.99) Guilty Gear Judgement full game (£9.99/€12.99) Dead Head Fred full game (£15.99/€19.99) Off Road Racing full game (£9.99/€12.99) Pipe Mania full game (£9.99/€12.99) Star Ocean First Departure trailer Loco Roco 2 "Retro Notes" wallpaper Loco Roco 2 "Retro Circles" wallpaper Loco Roco 2 "Retro Planet" wallpaper Loco Roco 2 "Retro Squares" wallpaper

Merry Christmas, Japan! While the Western world grows fat on its own laziness (not to mention a massive amount of Christmas food) Japanese game stores remain open to sell five new great PS3 games. What's that strange smell, you ask? That's our pure, unadulterated jealousy. We really want to play White Knight Chronicles. Here's the release list:US GamesNo new releasesEU GamesNo new releasesAsian Games Alone In The Dark Bioshock Far Cry 2 Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution White Knight Chronicles In case you're wondering, your PS3 is region free. So, yes, you can import White Knight Chronicles if you so wish. We're not sure if it's the sort of game that will get downloadable content, but if it does you'll have to get it from the Japanese PSN Store. Tempting though, isn't it?

The PSN Store is actually down right now, thanks to Sony doing much behind the scenes fiddling in order to get the Home open beta up. When the store does come back up, you can expect the following offerings. All four items are full games and, as a result, they all cost cash money. These can also be bought via the PS3 PSN Store, once it's back up and running. Here's the full release list. Jet Rider 2 PS1 game (£3.99/€4.99) Brain Challenge full game (£7.99/€9.99) NBA Live 09 full game (£29.99/€39.99) Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 full game (£31.99/€39.99)
