Play 'Overwatch' for free (again) this weekend
Blizzard has a habit of seasonally opening up its hero shooter Overwatch for everyone to try every couple months, typically just after it announces a new hero, event or map. Fittingly, the publisher announced that new PC, PS4 and Xbox One players can try out the game for free next weekend to get a taste of the just-launched Lunar New Year seasonal event.
Play 'Lawbreakers' for free on PC this weekend
It hasn't been two months since team shooter Lawbreakers launched in early August and the game is inviting players to try it for free on PC this weekend, starting today. That's likely because the PC playerbase is dismal, peaking at 161 players total over the last 24 hours according to Steam's charts. But if you play and like it, the game's studio Boss Key Productions is knocking 25 percent off the cover price to keep you onboard.
Play 'Overwatch' for free yet again next weekend
Looking to play popular team-based shooter Overwatch but don't want to spring for the actual game? You're in luck next weekend, then, as Blizzard's cartoonish and charming FPS is coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One from September 22nd through the 25th.
'Overwatch' turns one with another event and free weekend
Developer Blizzard keeps making frequent, regular updates to its popular team-shooter video game Overwatch. Players have gotten new battle arena maps, interesting new characters and various time-limited events to keep them coming back for more of what is, essentially, the same game over and over. To keep interest high, Blizzard is launching a one-year anniversary event from May 23rd to June 12th. You'll also be able to buy a new Game of the Year Edition when the event launches, which will include 10 bonus Loot Boxes, extra Hero skins, and various virtual trinkets for other Blizzard games.
