The <It came from the Blog> family of guilds lovingly invites you to join the Sunday Love Fest for some fun-loving antics and possibly a rocket ride. When: Sunday, Feb. 20 at 1 p.m. EST (10 a.m. PST, 11 a.m. server) Where: In front of the auction house in Orgrimmar on Zangarmarsh (US-PvE-H) Who: Any level Horde character What: Love, quests, achievements, more love How: Ask any member of <Blogling> for an invite, if you are not already a member of one of our guilds. We will be streaming the event as usual, and there will be a event chat channel for us to not shout in (except for me) and get directions from. Everyone is invited, except for funsuckers, of course. This will be a PG event, as double entendres will be encouraged. Rumor has it that Robinator is susceptible to being told she would look better as a goblin and will give rides if sufficiently flattered -- rides on her rocket of loooove*. You're not stuck with this character, however. This is Choose My Adventure, after all, and you get to choose who to boss around. So after the break, there are also polls. ... But you're not even stuck with the polls to voice your opinion. Oh, no. New Year's Eve is a time to party, and what better way to party than to dress up like Greatfather Winter's helpers and send 50 of your fellow players to an early grave? So the <It came from the Blog> family of guilds will be getting together Friday night to get small. Age of Conan 2.1 brings new minigame, Guardian revamp, winter event
Today is patch day in the world of Hyboria, and Funcom has quite a few changes in store for Age of Conan. Version 2.1 is currently on the live servers and it brings new social content, a new PvP minigame, and a Guardian class revamp. Still want more? OK, how does a winter solstice quest grab you? In addition to the items above, 2.1 also boasts a laundry list of tweaks and additions, among them adjustments to PvP minigame balancing, 18 new Gateway of Khitai quests, guild renown adjustments, and various and sundry bug fixes. While the jury is still out on the minigame balancing, the new game (The Call of Jhebbal Sag) transports players to the Pictish wilderness for a lengthy battle featuring capture objectives and resource stockpiles on a large-scale map.
Exclusive: Funcom details Age of Conan's 2.1 social events
Age of Conan's 2.1 update is on the way, and today we've partnered with Funcom to bring you an exclusive look at the patch's new dynamic social events. While 2.1 is also bringing a new queue system for PvP minigames as well as a new 12-player minigame map (The Call of Jhebbal Sag), the devs seem to be expanding AoC's gameplay beyond the combat-centric confines of most themepark MMOs. While we've touched on the social additions in our weekly AoC-focused column, today's piece from Funcom itself paints a definitive picture of how the new content works. Countdown to Cataclysm: Guild leveling and progression
This article is part of our Countdown to Cataclysm series, preparing you for Cataclysm launch one day at a time. One of the coolest new features of Cataclysm is the ability for guilds to level up, unlocking all sorts of cool items, mounts, heirlooms and much more. Also new to Cataclysm are guild achievements that groups of players can work for that open up even more rewards. Blizzard has crafted a really awesome guild reputation system, so get your buddies together to hit the ground running when Cataclysm launches.
