An experimental Google Assistant feature codenamed "Guacamole" will give you the power to issue voice commands without having to preface it with "Hey, Google."
Google will host a virtual 'Hey Google' smart home keynote on July 8th
Google has just announced that it’s holding an online event for its smart home developer community on July 8th. While California seems to have rolled back its reopening plans due to an explosion of new coronavirus cases, Google will push through with a virtual event this time. The Works With "Hey Google" Smart Home Summit will start with a keynote by Michele Turner, the Product Management director of Google’s Smart Home Ecosystem.
Waze can take commands from Google Assistant anywhere in the US
Google Assistant is officially available for all English-speaking Waze users in the United States. Waze announced the rollout last week after making the feature available in limited test runs earlier this year. The integration will give users the opportunity to ask Google Assistant to perform commands while on the road without requiring the driver to take their hands off the wheel into interact with the Waze app.
