Yes, you read that correctly. About 16 years after the last movie in the series, Warner Bros. has confirmed work on a fourth movie in The Matrix universe. And it doesn't appear to be a spinoff -- Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss will star in the picture. Only one of the Wachowski sisters (Lana) is involved, but she'll direct, co-write and co-produce.

Whoa. Keanu Reeves' character John Wick (of the new film, also called John Wick) is now playable in developer Starbreeze's Payday 2. The free DLC is the result of a partnership with Lionsgate, which also partnered with Devolver Digital back in August to create The Expendabros. "Lionsgate's entry into the game space is continuing to build momentum with the addition of another great partner and a tremendous piece of IP," Lionsgate President of Interactive Ventures & Games Peter Levin said in a press release. In addition to playing as John Wick, the DLC also offers a new perk system called Hitman, which includes the ability to dual-wield weapons, a Chimano Compact pistol with modification options, a knife and three pairs of sunglasses. If you don't already own Payday 2, you can score a free Steam code of the game when you purchase tickets to see John Wick via Fandango. Like ... whoa. [Image: 505 Games]

  • Jazzpunk spoofs cyberpunk in live-action trailer

As an adventure game rife with pop cultural spoofs and slapstick comedy, it makes a certain kind of sense that the latest Jazzpunk trailer would be an extended riff on the 1995 Keanu Reeves "classic" Johnny Mnemonic. In development at Necrophone Games, Jazzpunk is described as "a comedy adventure set in an alternate reality Cold War World, plagued with corporate espionage, CyberCrime, and sentient martinis." Its developers claim that the game is largely based on the spoof comedy films of yesteryear and features open-world exploration. There's no mention of the trailer's ill-fated pocket pigeon, but we're sure that will all be explained when the game makes its February 7 Steam debut. For more details visit the newly-launched Jazzpunk Steam site. It's worth a look for the "Key Features" list alone.

  • The Guild Counsel: Raid wipe, now what!

Whether you're a guildleader or not, there's always one single moment that everyone dreads in an MMO: the wipe. It's caused sleepless nights, tons of gray hairs, and in some cases, the breakup of a guild. The first few seconds after a raid wipe resemble that scene from Speed: "Pop quiz, hot shot. There are dozens of players attacking a mob, it's at one percent, your tanks drop, and you wipe. What do you do?" If you've ever been Keanu Reaves on that out of control bus, read on for a few helpful tips on what to do when everything hits the fan.

  • Keanu Reeves gets a URL shortener in his honor, can stop being sad and get back to being excellent

Remember the day that this photo showed up and Keanu Reeves, famous actor and musician (and the star of one of our all-time favorites, Johnny Mnemonic) changed the internet forever by becoming a very clever meme? Well, something else good has come out of it: a URL shortener, kea.nu. Created by Shane Snow, the money earned from the temporary ads served on the shortened URLs goes to cancer research, and we can continue to keep this meme at the forefront of our minds as we move into the fall. One of our favorite products of the "Sad Keanu Reeves" phenomena is below, and for the record: we're pretty sure the guy was just enjoying his sandwich.

  • The Lake House will be the first movie to debut on DVD, Blu-ray and HD DVD on the same day

The romantic drama The Lake House starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock will be a day-and-date release on HD DVD & Blu-ray with the standard DVD version on September 26. The HD DVD version will be a combo DVD/HD DVD disc meaning only 15GB of storage for the high definition film, while the Blu-ray edition will ship on a single-layer 25GB Blu-ray disc. The space difference hasn't been a problem so far on HD DVD so we don't expect it will be here. No word on any extras yet although we can probably expect the same ones as the standard-def DVD release. The HD DVD version will be priced slightly higher in line with other combo releases, but have the ability to play in a regular DVD player. Much like the first combo disc released for HD DVD, Rumor Has It, we're really puzzled by the choice of movie but welcome the trend of films coming out on next-generation formats without any delay.
