What we're watching: The playoffs are heating up, as the Heat start from scratch against the suddenly-competitive Chicago Bulls and Phoenix tries to avoid an early exit against the seventh-seeded LA Lakers. Also not to be forgotten are new episodes of Veronica Mars, Law & Order SVU and The Unit, among others.Definitely looks like an NBA night, we have to see if the MVP will step up under adversity or fade away. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Primetime tonight brings us NBA Playoffs, MLB action, 24, Prison Break & more, but those are all also-rans in my opinion. For true high definition greatness one must decide between Days of Thunder at 6 p.m. on HBO with the Cruise-y one himself, or the highly stylized Sin City at 6:45 on Starz (much like Sky Captain it is entirely green screened and looks great in HD). What we're watching: You didn't need high definition to see that LeBron took about 73 steps before his game winning layup over the Wizards on Friday, but it didn't hurt. They'll tip off again at 7 p.m. on TNT. If such egregious lapses by the officials bother you, never fear as Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy are both (finally) back with new episodes tonight. If you really can't choose, flip over to Spurs at Kings at 10 p.m. and get the best of both worlds. Also worth mentioning, since you can never have too much Tom Selleck, there is also the CBS TV movie Jessie Stone: Death in Paradise at 9 p.m. tonight. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Most programming tonight is on hold for the ongoing and unfortunately-SD NFL Draft (the Lions didn't take a wide receiver!?!?!?!?) but later on the NBA Playoffs continue with Denver looking to even up their series at two games apiece with the Clippers. Also tonight on Cinemax is the always-excellent in HD Ocean's Twelve, or you can go with the special effects-laden Pearl Harbor. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: NBA Playoffs action does not get better than this. LeBron & Kobe in back to back games, both trying to lead their teams to a 2-1 advantage in their series. The networks are keeping the party going, as NBC and CBS both have all new episodes lined up for tonight, and Fox throws in a high definition Austin Powers.Unfortunately, Oprah isn't high definition yet and neither are the Daytime Emmys so ABC is out for the evening. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Will & Grace, My Name is Earl, The Office and E.R. are all back with new episodes tonight, we're getting the gang back together. Elsewhere, the NBA Playoffs continue, with The Flash & Shaq taking on the Bulls, while the Clippers try to make it three straight against the Nuggets. Denver will need a monster game from Carmelo Anthony with Kenyon Martin suspended indefinitely; we'll see if they can pull it off. Also, Starz-HD has been added to the schedule. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Alias' final season continues on tonight, followed by a recap episode of Lost (that does not count as a new episode ABC, quit playing with our emotions). Alternatively, you can get your fill of loser-goes-home competition with either American Idol or the NBA Playoffs, the choice is yours. Also, you'll notice a few additions to our schedule, the oft-requested HDNet and HDNet Movies, as well as Cinemax-HD.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: As your high definition counsel, when LeBron James is on we cannot in good faith recommend you watch anything else. Cavaliers vs. Wizards, Game 2 tips off at 7 p.m. No really, that's pretty much it, put Veronica Mars, American Idol & everything else on the DVR queue because the King is here. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: The NBA Playoffs are a marathon, not a sprint so we'll forgive you if you take a night off for new episodes of Prison Break, 24, New Adventures of the Old Christine or Everwood, but hurry back tomorrow ok?Also worth checking out is HBO's Elizabeth I, predictably about the queen by that name. If you missed the first half of this miniseries, don't worry it is reairing in high definition at 6:10, followed by the conclusion at 8 p.m.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Our usual Sunday night standbys, Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives take the night off to do recaps of the story to this point. If you've missed a few episodes or haven't watched at all, this may be a good night to check them out. But c'mon, we all know what time of year it is and we know why you got your HDTV. Sports.NBA and NHL Playoffs are kicking off this weekend, with four NBA games today and a couple hockey games. Nice to see the NHL back in the national spotlight and in high definition, playoff action is always must see TV. After LeBron's triple-double last night, Carmelo's attempt to be the last second hero (again), and the Spurs' dismantling of the Kings, it will be interesting to see who comes out on top today. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: The best thing on tonight is probably Sportscenter's NFL Draft preview show. Check out the HD highlights from Reggie, Vince, Matt and all the rest while hoping your team doesn't draft the next Ryan Leaf. As a Lions fan, the draft is usually the only happy time of the season and it's all downhill afterwards.Otherwise, there is always Assault on Precinct 13 on HBO, while NBC takes the night off of HD to show the Miss America Pageant (and why isn't that in HD?). What we're watching: Ladies night once again with Commander in Chief following up Alias (*whistles* nothing to see here) yesterday, showing Jack Bauer and David Palmer that boys don't have all the fun. Otherwise it's a slow night for HD, as the NBA and NHL gear up for the playoffs, but a new Everybody Hates Chris on UPN should get us through.Update: NBC has decided to swap out the dull Cooking Challenge for episodes of Will & Grace and My Name is Earl tonight. Good choice NBC.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Sydney Bristow is back. No Lost, but two hours of Alias should hopefully make up for that. Tonight's Monster Garage is also a good pick, as Jesse & crew add wings to a Panoz sports car. The LA Clippers get some much-deserved national spotlight tonight against the Mavericks, although both teams will likely be just trying to stay healthy for the playoffs. Check out the game though, hopefully Shaun Livingston will play and you'll see why I think he is the player with the most potential in the NBA right now. Crazy handles & court vision are just part of the package. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Veronica Mars, Veronica Mars, Veronica Mars. Jeff & Ben have spoken and so it shall be. Checked out the episode last week and it was not half bad, we'll watch again. We've also got NBA action on INHD between the Nets & 76ers, and the IMAX flick Dolphins at 9.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: What About Brian gives it another go, with tonight's oddly labeled "premiere" thats actually the second episode. I agree with TV Squad that it is trying to be another Grey's Anatomy but I don't know if viewers will find it as interesting. Hot mid-20's doctors vs.some average looking married guys confused about their lifestyle, you make the choice. We're ok with it as long as it doesn't come on at the same time as 24, because Jack Bauer would kill that Brian guy and then ask his friend's fiancee out for drinks (as long as she's not a terrorist).Since we still don't have an HD-DVD or Blu-ray player yet, we'll probably be watching The Rock at 9 p.m. on HBOOur traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: It's a slooow Saturday for HD, but at least the real The Ten Commandments is back in action tonight at 7 on ABC. Of course this sets up a Jim Caviezel as Jesus/Charlton Heston as Moses showdown at 9 p.m. as The Passion of the Christ spreads 1080i blessings, we're sure you'll make the right choice. We've had a few requests to add channels to our daily listings, it looks like Starz, Cinemax and HDNet are favorites, any other requests?Update: It looks like one of the 10 commandments wasn't to accurately label your Saturday night movies, because at least on my local station it is 4x3 and very much not HD. Doesn't this fall under coveting your neighbors Xbox 360 or something? Our traditional high-def listings continue below

What we're watching: Speaking of reality shows moving to high definition, Trading Spouses is apparently in 720p this week, should be interesting. We aren't surprised that Fox is taking this step, with Cops apparently showing in HD now and their insistence on pumping out a new reality show every other day, why not push on to HD?It would be nice if you could go to their website and confirm which shows are or aren't in high def though *cough*.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: She's no Dennis Haysbert, but Geena Davis returns in a new episode of Commander in Chief tonight. Usually we'd opt for the Earl/The Office 1-2 combination however they are stuck in repeats, but if you somehow missed the "dundies" episode of Office do yourself a favor and check it out anyway. Luckily UPN is filling with all new shows, starting off with Everybody Hates Chris. There is also a replay of the unfortunately-cropped Crash on Showtime and for sports fans you can choose from MLB action on INHD or a doubleheader of basketball on TNT-HD.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Once again, you have the choice between a program about a man divinely chosen as a leader for his people, and The Ten Commandments on ABC. One has the guy who was in Heist, while The Unit features an assassinated ex-President who sells car insurance. We'll call it a push.Don't forget, tonight is the night for the NBA's dual-skycam broadcast of a game between the Spurs and Supersonics so be sure to check that out. There's also some new series on WB, Pepper Dennis is about a spunky female reporter etc. etc., it might be worth a look at 9 p.m.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: At 9 p.m. you have a choice to make of great spiritual significance. You can either watch an epic tale of a man on a mission from God, or you can watch The Ten Commandments on ABC. Pending any instructions given to us by a burning plasma TV, we'll probably go with Jack Bauer. Besides, didn't somebody already make a movie based on the 10 heavily-emphasized suggestions? Our traditional high-def listings continue below.
