What we're watching: No Desperate Housewives, no new Grey's no problem? Seems that way today . We'll be checking to see who puts on the green jacket at Augusta today, the broadcast is absolutely beautiful. There's also NASCAR action, NBA and MLB on deck for tonight. A couple of TV movies should spice things up, with Covert One:The Hades Factor  on CBS and Avenger on TNT.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: I criticized golf for being SD-only recently, now that they have joined us in high definition I'm obligated to watch. Minority Report's impressive special effects should make it a great watch in HD at 8 p.m. on ABC, hopefully we'll be able to buy it on disc someday and watch it in HD whenever we want.Depending on your perspective, SNL could go either way on quality tonight, as Antonio Banderas fills in the guest host spot vacated by last week's Scarlett Johanssen. Our traditional high-def listings continue below

What we're watching: NBA, NBA, NBA. The Western Conference stars continue to shine tonight with Tim Duncan, Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant all showing out in a doubleheader on ESPN. If you like your round balls slightly smaller size, theres always MLB action on INHD as the Rockies face the Padres at 10 p.m.Of course if the dramatics of basketball players arguing foul calls and major league managers arguing foul balls just aren't enough, please consider Discovery-HD's offering of Puccini's Tosca, "a fiery Roman melodrama of lust, betrayal and revenge". Sounds like the Lakers to me.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Heat vs. Pistons of course, the premiere Eastern conference rivalry plays out once again as time ticks down towards the playoffs. The Heat are shorthanded with Jason Williams and James Posey injured, so Dwyane Wade and Shaq will have to pick up the slack at 8 p.m. on TNT. Also, the game is at Miami, so crowd watching in high definition is highly recommended.Elsewhere, NBC has committed the terrible sin of replacing The Office with Teachers at 9:30 p.m. so don't be fooled. Instead, if you didn't get enough Debra Messing during Will & Grace, switch over to HBO and check out The Wedding Date. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Lost continues to grow increasingly convoluted, and yet we can't stop watching. It would have been great to read that map last week in high definition, if it had been written in English of course. Even though March Madness is over, things are just heating up in the NBA, with the playoffs right around the corner and everyone fighting for seedings. Four teams that are going to be a part of the postseason action in the Western Conference are in action tonight in a doubleheader on ESPN-HD.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: After watching Joakim Noah & Co. dismantle UCLA last night, March Madness truly comes to a close with the women's title game between Duke and Maryland on ESPN-HD. For baseball fans, the season is finally here as the Twins and Blue Jays at 7 so you can finally stop talking about steroid rumors and maybe watch a real game or two. We'll probably be checking out the new episode of Teachers tonight, someone must answer the question of whether or not a show that needs a laugh track to tell you where the jokes are can ever truly be funny. We doubt it, but we'll keep you posted. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Crash, the Academy Award Winner for Best Picture premieres tonight at 8 on Showtime. It's got plenty of competition however, with new episodes of Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Sopranos and Cold Case all at the same time. We'll probably be checking out even more Final Four action as the women go at it tonight on ESPN-HD.Of course, you can always check out the second part of Jeremy Piven's Journey of a Lifetime on Discovery. So many choices, so few tuners on the DVR.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Fools Rush In is on TNT at 10 p.m., and we'll be on the official HD Beat couch w/ tissues at the ready for the emotional rollercoaster as Matthew Perry and Salma Hayek meet, get pregnant, get married and hilarity inevitably ensues. Salma Hayek being totally hot has nothing to do with our viewing selection for this evening.Nothing.If you're not busy copping pleas for watching chick flicks, theres always new episodes of ... well practically everything tonight. Back to back episodes of Bernie Mac followed by Numbers is just what the doctor ordered. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: With "unmissable" new episodes of My Name is Earl and The Office tonight on NBC, plus Mr. 81 points a.k.a. Kobe Bryant on TNT-HD taking on the World Chumps Champs, San Antonio (Go Pistons), this is a packed night of high definition viewing. Even with all that, we'll find time to check out the amateurs during the NIT Championship on ESPN and Shrek 2 at 9 p.m. on HBO.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: We'd like to apologize to everyone for even suggesting Heist and The Evidence as viewing options last week, we have been properly caned and purged for even beginning to watch shows so putrid (although we'll probably watch Heist again on mute because it looked pretty good). We'll go with the old standbys, Lost & CSI anytime. We'll try and wash those bad memories away with an old favorite, Guarding Tess is on at 5:30 on Showtime. Nicholas Cage is hilarious in this one.Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Frankly, The Unit is kinda boring. I'm not really interested in knowing what the wives are doing while the boys are away killing terrorists, and that is what this show is about. Fortunately, the women are back in action tonight on ESPN-HD with Elite 8 action reaching it's finale. I think UNC and UConn have the best chance to advance to the Final Four. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: You know we're getting a little tired of terrorist stomping w/ Jack Baue.....waitaminnit, we never get tired of that. From JackBauerFacts.com:"Nostradamus once predicted in his journal: "In the century 21st, the one known as Jacques will be the savior of the world... five seasons in a row." Moments later, Jack Bauer knocked down the door, shot Nostradamus in the kneecaps, and yelled "WHO ARE YOU WORKING FOR?!""Nuff said. However, since we actually like to DVR 24 and watch it starting 20 minutes later sans commercials, we'll be checking out some womens NCAA Elite 8 tourney action on ESPN. The action is pretty good and the quality is better than CBS' broadcast. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: And thenthere were 8. March Madness moves on today on CBS (has anyone else noticed that ESPN's 720p broadcast of the Women's Tournament looks better and has much less pixelation than CBS's broadcast?). More basketball, more grown men crying on the court (Adam Morisson we're talking about you)For the "What I Like About You" and "Living With Fran" fans season finales are tonight, but we'll be checking out "The Fish That Saved Pittsburgh" at 11 on INHD2.Our traditional high-def listings continue below

What we're watching: Bracketology continues to evolve before our eyes, after the stunning falls of Gonzaga and Duke last night, George Mason looks to continue their improbable run against Wichita State, while Florida matches up with Georgetown. Villanova and Uconn also look to crush Cinderella's dreams tonight. The premiere episode of Heist is showing again tonight, and maybe it will all be in high definition this time. We'll probably be checking out The Roots Present at 9 on INHD2, their live show is not to be missed. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: It seems to be premiere night tonight, with Heist and The Evidence kicking off on NBC and ABC, respectively. The only thing we like more than terrorist beatdowns is stealing stuff, so Heist seems like a natural pick. The Evidence is also a crime show that attempts to capitalize on all the CSI-style hype by starting off each episode showing all "The Evidence" in a videotaped log (get it?).Ahhh, who are we kidding, if it's Wednesday and a new Lost episode is on, you know what we're watching. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: Can The Unit satisfy our need for Terrorist Tookas-kicking on Tuesdays? Since 24 just isn't enough, we'll check in again this week to see if The President of the United States special ops agent Dennis Haysbert has what it takes. Otherwise it will be a back-to-back episode of Sons & Daughters on ABC, of course if NBC stepped up to the plate and satisfied with 1080i episodes of Scrubs, there would truly be no dilemma. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: College basketball continues on CBS, and it might be in HD, might not (thanks again Sofseth!). Of course there's always Creepy Joel Osment in The Sixth Sense on ABC, but if you haven't seen this movie by now or had the ending ruined for you, one must question why you would still watch.Even though the US has been eliminated, the World Baseball Classic continues on ESPN-HD in the always nice 720p broadcast. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.

What we're watching: If you're not watching your bracket fall apart before your eyes on CBS (Winthrop, we were sooo clooose), theres a new episode of Las Vegas on tonight, followed by Conviction. Hey, maybe they'll throw Lara Flynn Boyle off a rooftop (again). If thats not your speed, there's always Chronicles of Riddick on HBO at 8 p.m., but playing the game in 480p may be more enjoyable for some. Our traditional high-def listings continue below.
