As you may already know, Lumines creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi has made a music video for the upcoming video-infused Lumines II. The catchy tune by Genki Rockets has been stuck in my head for the past few days, and I decided to share the love through this exclusive Heavenly Star fan pack. Included in this zip file are 20 PSP-formatted wallpapers, the song as an MP3 and a PSP-formatted version of the music video."While most of my creative energy has been devoted to video games, because music plays such an important role in them, it seemed ideal to create an original music video," Mizuguchi stated about his original creation. Lumines II hits stores on November 7th. DOWNLOAD

Thought I forgot about your beloved Video Sandwich? Of course not! For those of you that are new to the Sandwich, here's an overview: you get two videos as the "bread" and some commentary in the middle as the meat in the middle (or hummus, for you vegans). This time around, we have one awesome music video from the upcoming Lumines II. Entitled "Heavenly Star," the video was co-written by gaming guru Mizuguchi himself! It should put you in the right mood for some Lumines. Read up on the creation of this song and more at 1UP and expect some a lot more coverage of Lumines II soon. The bottom video is what I declare the end of the bickering between DS fanboys and PSP fanboys. You guys have waged a video war for too long. At last, we have a real winner in this console war, and it's not what you might expect...

Be warned, something about this little music video is extremely catchy..! And while I'm somewhat concerned that I'll have this song stuck in my head for days, I think it was probably worth it. Update: Multiple commenters have posted saying that the music (the most charming thing about this particular movie) was created by Mickey-C of WoW Radio.

Could this video be the first high-def music video? According to the makers .mac webpage, he recoded the video featuring ClevaFam (we hadn't heard of 'em ether) on a Sony high-def camcorder and then cut it in his G5 and Mac Book Pro via Final Cut Pro. How does it look? Well, you can check it out for yourself on his site, but we think it looks rather good. Nice and crisp with good sound. NOTE: We are saying that the sound that is coming out of our speakers is clean and not that the content of the music is good. Would you be interested in music videos again if they were high-def? We are sure they would recapture some lost audiences.

What is it about Michael Jackson and machinima? After stumbling across this clever video set in Counter-Strike, I ran a couple of searches. This rabbit-hole goes deep. There's plenty of MJ to be found in World of Warcraft videos (Beat It, Billy Jean) which is unsurprising considering that the entire male population of night elves appears to have summered at Neverland ranch in their youth (this would explain many of their pathological in-game tendencies, but that's a whole 'nother rabbit hole). Many of the night-elf dance moves are lifted from the King of Pop's library of signature jigs, including the pelvic thrust and twirly-hand-leg-kick thing. Even denizens of Second Life appear to be thrilled by the opportunity to relive the days when Jacko only pretended to be ghoulish. Through machinima, fans of celebs who have dashed their careers against the treacherous reefs of fame can now travel back to the future. Fans can return to a time when their idols still had something worth worshipping. It's a form of therapy.
