It's time. After a long wait, AMC's Breaking Bad is back and kicking off its final half-season Sunday night. That's not all however, as a flood of Blu-ray discs come to shelves including Disney classics Robin Hood, Oliver and Company and Sword in the Stone, the infamous bomb Ishtar, Wing Commander, Action Jackson and more. HBO is also kicking off its annual Hard Knocks series, this time focusing on the Cincinnati Bengals. Look below for the highlights this week, followed after the break by our weekly listing of what to look out for in TV, Blu-ray and videogames. Breaking Bad What else is there to say? If you're somehow not watching one of the best shows on TV right now, the first half of season five has just been added to Netflix streaming, so you've got all week to binge-watch and get up to date. There will only be a few more episodes before we say good bye to Walt, Jesse and the rest, so enjoy it. After the episode is over though, the network likely hopes you'll stick around for a new cop show it's debuting, Low Winter Sun -- check out a preview embedded after the break. (August 11th, AMC, 9PM) Oblivion If the plot of director Joseph Kosinski's previous effort Tron: Legacy didn't grab you then Oblivion may be another disappointment, but there's one key feature on this Blu-ray that the other film didn't have: a music-only version of the film. With fantastic special effects and a soundtrack courtesy of M83, you can enjoy Tom Cruise's post-apocalypse adventures without little things like dialogue getting in your way. ($19.99 on Amazon)

The Cowboys and Dolphins kick things off with the Hall of Fame game Sunday night on NBC, while Discovery Channel begins its usual celebration of Shark Week and Star Trek The Next Generation season four comes to Blu-ray. Unfortunately there's no Syfy B-movie of the week to look forward to over the next few days, but we do have the recently returned Whose Line Is It Anyway. John Oliver is also back with another round of stand-up comics from NYC, while the Spell-mageddon game show sates our craving for a spelling bee hosted by Alfonso Ribeiro where contestants are distracted by spraying water and electric shocks Look after the break by our weekly listing of what to look out for in TV, Blu-ray and videogames.

USA Network is returning some summer favorites over the next few days with the season premieres of Suits and Covert Affairs, while MLB's All-Star events are also in full effect. Look below for the highlights this week, followed after the break by our weekly listing of what to look out for in TV, Blu-ray and videogames. Blast Vegas Did last week's social media phenomenon Sharknado catch you by surprise? Set your DVR ahead of time for Syfy's next so-bad-you-have-to-tell-someone flick, Blast Vegas. Like the network's made for TV movies always do it combines a terrible plot (spring breakers unleash an evil curse) and a TV star from years past (Frankie Muniz), check out a trailer after the break. (July 18th, Syfy, 9PM) Axe Cop / High School USA Fox is launching a new "Animation Domination High Def" block this weekend for content ported from the internet to TV, with Axe Cop and High School USA carving out 15 minutes each on the schedule. Parks & Rec's Nick Offerman voices the title character in Axe Cop (do we have to explain what he does?), while High School USA! features the voice talent of Mandy Moore and is the creation of Dino Stamatopoulos, aka Star-Burns from Community. After a long holiday weekend we have a few new things to look forward to including NCAA Football 14, season two of The Newsroom and the season premiere of Top Gear. Look below for the highlights this week, followed after the break by our weekly listing of what to look out for in TV, Blu-ray and videogames. The Bridge FX is debuting a new drama this week, as The Bridge follows cops from the US and Mexico on the trail of a serial killer. Similar to The Killing it's a remake of a foreign series, although that one featured Denmark and Sweden. Although AMC's show had its issues, after efforts like The Americans and Wilfred from FX we're willing to give this one a shot. (July 10th, FX, 10PM) Orange is the New Black Orange is the New Black debuts at 3:01 AM ET Thursday on Netflix in all regions, but it's already signed up for a second season on the streaming service. Fans of Showtime's Weeds may be looking forward to it the most, since both comedy-dramas were created by Jenji Kohan. Set in a women's prison, OITNB follows a new inmate sentenced to fifteen months for her part in moving drug money a decade earlier. We'll find out in a few days if Netflix has another hit on its hands, after that the next original series up should be Ricky Gervais' Derek.

This week is all about July 4th, and as a result even some of our favorite TV shows are taking the week off. There are still a few things to get excited about with classic flicks like The Producers and The Kentucky Fried Movie arriving on Blu-ray, and the season finale of Christopher Guest's excellent Family Tree on HBO. Look below for the highlight this week, followed after the break by our weekly listing of what to look out for in TV, Blu-ray and videogames. UFC 162 Anderson "The Spider" Silva is considered by some as the greatest MMA fighter of all time, and this weekend the UFC's middleweight title holder gets in the Octagon again versus Chris Weidman. This is Silva's first fight in eight months, and if he wins it could lead to a superfight against either Jon Jones or Georges St-Pierre. (UFC 162, PPV, July 6th 10PM)

The NHL and NBA playoffs have wrapped for the year, so we're officially into summer vacation programming. Look below for the highlights this week, followed after the break by our weekly listing of what to look out for in TV, Blu-ray and videogames. Dexter Everyone's favorite serial killer is back for an eighth and final season on Showtime this weekend. Even if you think the show itself should've been dismembered and dumped in the harbor a couple of seasons ago, it will be interesting to see if a department full of cops can finally figure out there is a killer right underneath their noses. Check after the break for a couple of trailers for the new season. (June 30th, Showtime, 9PM) Catfish After a successful first season and Heisman runner-up Manti Te'o's embarassing revelation, it seems no one had a better 2012 than the makers of Catfish. Nev and crew will be pursuing an entire new slate of internet hoaxsters this season, and we doubt they'll run out anytime soon. (June 25th, MTV, 10PM)

Yes, Game of Thrones is over, but there are still a few other interesting shows on TV. While Futurama begins its farewell tour, Wilfred and Copper return for the summer and Discovery kicks off a new reality show that drops contestants off in the jungle with nothing -- and by nothing we mean no clothes. Look below for the highlights this week, followed after the break by our weekly listing of what to look out for in TV, Blu-ray and videogames. Futurama Yes, sadly, Futurama has been canceled again. The 13-episode final final season starts Wednesday on Comedy Central and will feature the show's entire original voice cast. Special guests this season include Larry Bird, Emilia Clark, George Takei and more, check out a clip from the new season embedded after the break. (June 19th, Comedy Central, 10PM) Whodunnit? It's a reality show -- wait, wait, this one might be different! This time ABC is taking on the murder mystery genre, as 13 players compete to solve a different mystery each week. Solve it and survive to proceed to the next episode or else face elimination. (June 23rd, ABC, 9PM) NBA / NHL Finals And then there were two. The NBA finals are almost over as the Spurs have pushed the Heat to the brink of elimination, while on the NHL side the Blackhawks and Bruins are tied 1-1 after two overtime contests, with Game 3 tonight. Enjoy your sport of choice while you still can, before the long offseason begins.

Though delayed by events including E3 and WWDC, our listings are here, and there is plenty still to see on your HDTV this week. House of Cards makes the trek from Netflix to Blu-ray, while USA brings back two of its series for the summer. Then this weekend we have UFC action and the season premiere of True Blood on HBO, while both the NHL and NBA enter the championship round of their playoffs. Look below for the highlights this week, followed after the break by our weekly listing of what to look out for in TV, Blu-ray and videogames. The Last of Us If the reviews are to be believed, then The Last of Us is not to be missed. Coming from the makers of Uncharted, this PS3 exclusive game follows the journey of two people through a postapocalyptic landscape where most of the people have been transformed into monsters. There's a multiplayer component too, but it's garnering most of the attention for a single player experience that Joystiq concludes "is not a cheerful story, but it's a damned good one." The summer programming schedule has officially arrived, and this week familiar warm weather favorites return including Continuum, Falling Skies and Burn Notice. There are also a few new entire including TNT's The Hero reality show and Sinbad on Syfy, plus a lengthy list of Blu-ray releases including a few classics and season five of Breaking Bad. The NHL Conference finals are in full swing, and tonight we'll find out who's joining the Spurs in the NBA Finals. All that, and we haven't even mentioned the Game of Thrones season finale or the news that Dan Harmon is returning to Community. Look below for the highlights this week, followed after the break by our weekly listing of what to look out for in TV, Blu-ray and videogames. Continuum Despite a plot centering around the always-tricky-to-pull-off time travel, season one of this Canadian science fiction show impressed us when it finally aired here, and now season two is ready to go on Syfy. The first season left plenty of juicy plot threads and cliffhangers for us to wonder about, and now we'll find out if the show can continue to deliver on them. Check after the break for a season two preview. (June 7th, Syfy, 9PM) Falling Skies TNT's own science fiction effort returns for its third season this weekend and features a new twist in the battle against Earth-invading aliens -- more aliens. The first two seasons have had some inconsistent quality and gotten bogged down in romantic or political plot lines occasionally, but the premieres and finales always suck us right back in. (June 9th TNT, 8PM) Mad Max Trilogy All three Mad Max films get a Blu-ray set this week, and the third movie Beyond Thunderdome makes its debut on the format. We shouldn't have to convince you this one is worth viewing, but you can see a few trailer clips after the break. Why is this set arriving now? A new flick, Fury Road, is due next year with Tom Hardy taking over the title role. ($34.86 on Amazon)

Arrested Development fans have had this week circled for a while, but that's not the only thing to watch. The weekend will also be big for racing fans, with the Coca-Cola 600, Indianapolis 500, and a live presentation of the Grand Prix of Monaco on NBC. Look below for the highlights this week, followed after the break by our weekly listing of what to look out for in TV, Blu-ray and videogames. Xbox Reveal Tomorrow Microsoft takes the wraps off of its next Xbox console and, of course, we'll be there to bring you all the information as it's unveiled (bookmark our liveblog here). Of course, if you'd like to watch firsthand you'll have a number of options, including live streams available on Xbox.com, Windows Phone, and the Xbox 360 (for Gold and Silver members). It's also on cable, with Spike TV doing the broadcast honors. The pre-show starts at 1PM ET and the reveal itself is expected at 2PM ET, set your alarms accordingly. (May 21st, Spike TV, 1PM) Arrested Development It's finally time. After being rescued from the grave, season four of Arrested Development will launch on Netflix streaming Sunday. As is the streaming company's custom, the entire season will be available for viewing at once, however Mitch Hurwitz notes it is made to be viewed in order, which we expect many of you will do multiple times. Check out the official trailer after the break or just start rewatching the first three seasons now. (May 26th, Netflix)

The flood of season finales continues, and this week it even includes some notable series coming to an end. Doctor Who, Castle, and Arrow are among those taking off for the summer, but they will be back. Look below for the highlights this week, followed after the break by our weekly listing of what to look out for in TV, Blu-ray and videogames. The Office After nine seasons, this US adaptation of a British comedy is finally coming to an end. Some might say it's hung out for (at least) a season too long, but still we're sad to see it go. There's a retrospective running before the finale on Thursday, just in case you want to relive all that's happened since its debut in 2005. (May 16th, NBC, 9PM) Ghostbusters Not that we need an excuse to watch this 80s flick, but this week's release is one of Sony's "Mastered in 4K" Blu-ray discs so there's an all-new high quality transfer and Ultraviolet digital copy. You probably don't have one of Sony's new 4K TVs and xvYCC-capable player to take advantage of the expanded color, but at $14.29, even if you're double dipping for the new release or just future proofing it won't cost much. ($14.29 on Amazon)

It's spring / season finale time, and as the temperatures rise outside the TV shows we've been watching all winter are starting to fade away. Meanwhile, the NBA and NHL playoffs are just starting to get good with plenty of interesting matchups to be found. Finally, Gamer hits shelves this week, the first of post-converted 3D Blu-rays created due to a deal between Lionsgate and Samsung. Look below for the highlight this week, followed after the break by our weekly listing of what to look out for in TV, Blu-ray and videogames. Community Season four of this comedy wraps up this week and NBC has not indicated whether or not it will be returning for another semester. Unfortunately, even as fans of the show, watching this last season go on without creator Dan Harmon has us wondering if coming to an end now is actually the better option (remember Heroes?) Of course, we're still in for six seasons and a movie, so we'll see what happens. (April 9th, NBC, 8PM)

This week the NHL joins the NBA in celebrating its postseason, with plenty of games on the schedule for each. There are a number of premieres and finales this week, as well as the debut of individual seasons of Friends on Blu-ray. Look below for the highlights this week, followed after the break by our weekly listing of what to look out for in TV, Blu-ray and videogames. Star Trek: TNG S3 / The Best of Both Worlds The third season of Star Trek The Next Generation comes home this week remastered in HD, and it should be a good for fans. If you can't live with its cliffhanger ending until the fourth season arrives, The Best of Both Worlds Part 1 & 2 are also being released, edited together as a single episode. either way you get it, judging by the first two seasons, the adjustments should be well-received. ($59.99 and $14.99 on Amazon) The Americans FX's cold war spy drama closes out its first season this week. While it hasn't grabbed the mindshare of other popular cable series yet, the quality of the writing and acting is still there. (May 1st, FX, 10PM) Parks & Recreation It appears that NBC's best remaining comedy will be renewed after this season, so this week's season finale will represent only the start of a vacation for the residents of Pawnee, IN. The Office finally getting yanked from the stage, 30 Rock calling it a series recently and Community... well. Let's just hope we have more PnR to look forward to this fall. (May 2nd, NBC, 9:30PM)

Welcome to your spring sporting season -- the NBA playoffs are underway, the NHL's postseason close to beginning and the NFL draft is this weekend. Jurassic Park is back in 3D, and Dead Island has returned to consoles with the Riptide edition. Don't like sports, or games? There's always Stonados (yes, that's tornadoes, with stones in them -- Stonados) on Syfy. Look below for the highlights this week, followed after the break by our weekly listing of what to look out for in TV, Blu-ray and videogames. NFL Draft With most of the first round NBA playoff series manifesting blowouts and probably sweeps, this weekend's NFL draft is the most exciting thing on the schedule for sports fans (unless you think Chael Sonnen really has a shot against Jon Jones, of course). No matter how well your team performed (or disappointed) last year, there's always room for hope in the form of this year's draft pick. The first three rounds are again spread over two days in prime time, so you can watch large men in suits walk across the stage to shake hands with (or bear hug) the commissioner. There aren't many premieres this week, but Syfy's new show Defiance is bringing a new approach, and our old favorite Awkward has returned. Look below for the highlights this week, followed after the break by our weekly listing of what to look out for in TV, Blu-ray and videogames. Defiance Syfy's TV show / game hybrid makes its broadcast debut tonight. The multiplayer game had experienced some server issues after its debut a couple of weeks ago, but those are apparently being addressed via patches. Now we'll see if the TV show's narrative can hold up its end, or even get more viewers interested in its unique approach. Taking place in a future St. Louis after years of human vs. alien warfare, a small town sheriff and his adopted alien daughter try to keep all sides at peace. If you're into second screen apps, the Syfy Sync iPad app is also promising a few new features for the show. Check out a trailer for the TV show after the break. (April 15th, Syfy, 9PM) Django Unchained The latest flick from Quentin Tarantino comes home this week, starring Jamie Foxx and Oscar winner Christoph Waltz. Set in the Antebellum South, this revenge fantasy is as violent and shocking as you may have heard, but should align well with what QT fans have come to expect. ($22.99 on Amazon) Hemlock Grove Netflix's next big dive into original content debuts later this week, as the world is introduced to Eli Roth's Hemlock Grove. A horror series focusing on an outbreak of werewolf attacks in a small town, it may not appeal to all the high-minded fans of House of Cards, but could be a nice True Blood (or at least Vampire Diaries?) alternative. Check out the trailer after the break -- but note the incredibly specific content warning first. (April 19th, Netflix Streaming)

Baseball is officially back and March Madness is just about to wrap up as we officially move into the "spring" segment of programming, marked by the return of Mad Men on AMC. That's not all, with one half of Syfy's videogame / TV show combo making its debut and our favorite show, Justified, airing its finale. Look below for the highlights this week, followed after the break by our weekly listing of what to look out for in TV, Blu-ray and videogames. Mad Men AMC's main showpiece is ready to return. Now in its sixth season, you should be familiar with Don, Betty and the rest of the crew, but if not you can check out the trailer embedded after the break. (April 7th, 9PM, AMC) Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One - Avengers Assembled Now set in a new case (shown above) the boxed set of the first round of Marvel / Disney films is finally ready for release. The second weekend of the NCAA Basketball tournament takes place this week with the Sweet 16 and Elite 8, but hoops fans will also want to keep an eye on the streaking Miami Heat. Meanwhile, some sci fi / fantasy favorites are highlights thanks to their seasonal return or departure this week, but we'd also give new series like BBC America's Orphan Black a chance in between sessions of Bioshock: Infinite. Look below for the highlights this week, followed after the break by our weekly listing of what to look out for in TV, Blu-ray and videogames. Doctor Who Doctor Who is back, now featuring actress Jenna-Louise Coleman as companion Clara Oswald for the next half season. There's a preview trailer embedded after the break, and the BBC has a rundown of the first four episodes right here. (March 30th, BBC America, 8PM) The Walking Dead This season of everyone's favorite zombie series is finally ready to wrap up with what we expect will be an epic showdown between the prison residents and Woodbury. Last season's finale certainly met our expectations in terms of action, we'll see if it can repeat or even top that effort this time around. (March 31st, AMC, 9PM) Game of Thrones Winter is... still coming. Game of Thrones is back for season three and there is an appropriate amount of backstabbing, intrigue, violence and dragons to go around.
