The Witcher 3 PC requirements are hefty, not surprising
The minimum and recommended PC requirements for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt are on the higher end of things, CD Projekt RED announced via Twitter today. Minimum specs include an Intel i5 processor, 6GB RAM, DX11 and 40GB hard drive space. Recommended specs include an i7 processor, 8GB RAM, DX11 and 40GB hard drive space. See the full requirements in the below press release. The Witcher series has set a high standard for itself, in terms of graphics and massiveness. In December, CD Projekt RED delayed The Witcher 3 from a February launch to May 19, 2015, citing many in-game details that required further completion and tweaking. "When we release the most important game in our studio's history, we must be absolutely sure that we did everything we could to limit any bugs to a level that will allow you to enjoy the game thoroughly," CD Projekt RED said. Days after the delay announcement, President and Joint CEO Adam Kicinski said that fans took the news well. "[The] market is afraid of badly polished games on next-gen platforms," he said. Dragon Age: Inquisition 1080p on PS4, 900p on Xbox One
Dragon Age: Inquisition will run at 1080p on PS4 and 900p on Xbox One, BioWare announced in a tweet. The disparity between platforms wasn't a concerted design choice, the message said. "We maximized the current potential of each platform," the tweet said. The capabilities of the PS4 and Xbox One have been under extra scrutiny this week, following comments from Assassin's Creed: Unity developers that "you don't gain much" from maxed-out framerate and resolution. Assassin's Creed: Unity is locked at 900p and 30fps on Xbox One and PS4. Historically, the PS4 has proven to be more consistent than the Xbox One in running games at 1080p and 60fps. PC requirements for Dragon Age: Inquisition are also out today, with a minimum of 4GB RAM and a recommended 8GB RAM, minimum DirectX 10 and recommended DirectX 11, and a necessary 26GB hard drive space. Battlefield 4 PC requirements revealed, time to gear up
DICE revealed the official PC requirements for Battlefield 4 this week, and surprise: You're going to need a fair deal of horsepower to play at recommended specs. At minimum, the PC shooter demands Windows Vista SP2 with dual-core AMD or Intel processors, 4GB of RAM, and a 512GB GeForce 8800 GT or Radeon HD 3870 graphics card. It's a big old leap to what's recommended: Windows 8 to start off with, and either a six-core AMD or quad-core Intel processor, supported by 8GB RAM and 3GB graphic memory. DICE suggests Radeon HD 7870 and GeForce GTX 660 graphics cards. Oh, and make sure you've got 30GB spare of disk space spare. You can check out the full specs after the break, but don't forget, you have a plenty of time to gear up your PC before Battlefield 4 is released on October 29.
Remember Me PC requirements remind you to prep for playtime
Remember Me appears to have something against kids and/or opening presents, but it's not entirely opposed to handing out treats. Sweet, sweet PC-requirement treats.Remember Me minimum specs include 2GB of RAM, 9GB of free hard drive space, and at least an Nvidia GeForce 8800GTS or an ATI Radeon HD 3850 video card, running DirectX 9 or greater. BioShock Infinite's PC specs revealed
BioShock Infinite's PC requirements have surfaced from the depths of the development sea, and the minimum specs aren't as tremendously demanding as one might imagine. We'd even wager that most modern-ish non-gaming laptops will be able to run Infinite, albeit at "Low" settings, provided that they run Vista (at least), rock an Intel Core 2 Duo/AMD Athlon X2 processor and have DirectX10 compatible on-board graphics.Irrational Games also dropped news that the PC version of Infinite will include controller support and is compatible with Steam's Big Picture Mode, in addition to supporting multiple monitors for those who really exceed the minimum system requirements. The game also spans three DVDs, due to the size of its textures. The full list of both Minimum and Recommended specifications can be found after the break.
Far Cry 3 PC specs outline your chances of survival
Far Cry 3 will be able to run on PC rigs with 512MB of video RAM and 4GB of memory, although it'd be nice to have 1024MB, and it'd be really ideal if you had the latest DirectX 11 graphics card and 8GB of memory. Below find the official Far Cry 3 PC requirements, broken down into "minimum," "recommended" and "hi-performance," with AMD and Nvidia examples for each.Far Cry 3 will need to be activated once via Ubisoft's Uplay, but doesn't require an always-on internet connection to run through the single-player campaign (in offline mode, obviously).
