The kind gentleman of First 4 Figures dropped us a line, along with our superiors, letting us know that they have finally revealed the first in their long line of proposed collectible statues from the Metroid universe. Oddly enough, however, is that the debut collectible is not for everyone's favorite bounty huntress hunter Samus. No, instead we get Kanden. The figures is looking sharp, even if it is not the finalized product. However, I've always felt you should always put your best foot forward, which would apply to First 4 Figures' debut collectible being one of the Samus variations. Featuring an interconnecting base that will allow Kanden to connect with other upcoming hunters, we're sure his first opponent will be none other than the blonde bombshell herself.

Following the flood of news coming from last week's E3, Retro Studios' Game Director Marc Pacini and Senior Producer Bryan Walker, along with Production Group No. 3's Kensuke Tanabe, commented on some of the features that will be in the final build of Metroid Prime 3 Corruption. In addition to discussing the ability for the player to go into Hyper Mode at any time during the game and a larger role for Samus' ship (bombing runs!), the team also took heavy inspiration from past Metroid titles such as Super Metroid in an attempt to find the perfect balance between the old and the new.

If you're one of the folk that purchased Metroid Prime Pinball, you've no doubt been playing Metroid Prime Hunters all this time with your free Rumble Pak as it realistically vibrated the echo of missile damage through the handheld, then your fingertips, and finally on into your brain. You could've also purchased the GBA slot-fitting add-on direct from Nintendo, or at a more expensive price, through importer Lik-Sang, to experience the tremors of gameplay. Or, if you're one of the dozens of people on the globe who've yet to acquire Metroid Prime Hunters, you could finally pick up the bounty-hunting simulation and get the accessory for free as it's now included in copies of the game, yet only while supplies last. No word yet on if the bundle will be available for those in Europe.

  • Nunchuck hides a secret?

According to AMN, the recent rumor that hit the net regarding the Revolution's nunchuck attachment is true and the add-on contains an acellerometer, a device which measures the speed at which the attachment moves and its direction of tilt. What does this mean? Well, if this is true, the nunchuck attachment  will act much like free looking in FPS games does on the PC. With the recent revealing of Red Steel, should this rumor be true, it would be a perfect fit for the title. Actually, it would be a great fit for just about any other first-person (Metroid Prime 3?!) or third-person title as well, allowing the player to easily control the camera through a flick of the rest. • Matt at IGN: Metroid Prime 3 fully playable at E3

We figured as much, what with Iwata stating the launch of the Revolution would be before the U.S. celebrates Turkey Day this year and it pretty much being the console's flagship game. IGN's resident Revolution guy Matt alludes to the game during his comments on Too Human through his blog, a game releasing on Satan's Microsoft's Xbox 360 system. Yet, when a reader comments and poses the question as to whether or not that is a confirmation from him that the game will be fully playable at E3, he caves and gives up that he thinks the game will in fact be there and available for our grubby hands. This is just another item to add to your list of why this year's E3 could possibly be the best ever.

G4TV has a video preview of the upcoming Metroid Prime Hunters, showcasing some of the other bounty hunters in the game, along with revealing a certain boss that Samus engages during her travels. While it's light on the content in regards to what's actually in the game (GASP!), all of the juicy multiplayer footage and cinematics should be enough to motivate you to head on over and check out the video.  It's almost here; who else is preparing to slam on some chumps? Which bounty hunter are you most looking forward to try?[Thanks dragonjoe!]

  • Metroid Prime 3 video surfaces

The Revolution Lifestyle has posted a link to a video of some Metroid Prime 3 footage. This footage is the same that was shown last year at E3, yet instead of seeing Mr. Iwata narrate, we get The Regginator. So while the clip is indeed the footage that was shown at E3, this is clearly a different venue. Instead of showcasing any new footage, we're left to speculate as to reasons why this new video would surface with footage from last year. We envision a man, malnourished and shackled at the ankles, emerging from the depths of a dark dungeon, his eyes watering as he gazes to the sun for the first time in a year, finally managing to escape his captors and release the knowledge he had suffered for so long with to the public. Too bad pal, Nintendo showed us last year, looks like you suffered in vain. Clearly Nintendo is waiting for E3 to drown us in a tsunami of Revolution-related media and news, one that while it may very much exterminate our lives, we'd at least go down with a smile on our face.
