Click image to head down the mountain of screens Hudson has just sent over some new screens for its upcoming snowboarding game, Snowboard Riot. While we've yet to see any folks vandalizing storefronts or yanking truck drivers out of their vehicles, we will say there is plenty of snowboarding going on. So, at least Hudson got that half of the game's name right. Check out the new screens in our gallery below.%Gallery-36618%

New outfits, ice guns, fiery hands and crazy Jim Lee-influenced jumping poses -- all these and more are in the newest batch of DC Universe Online screenshots over at Strategy Informer right now. We're really impressed with this blue armor-clad girl with her wind-swept hair and impressive poses. In fact, these are some of the first player-character screens we've seen and they certainly do impress. We're interested to see more of the character designs and hopefully the character creation process as well. If there's one thing we've learned over the years playing City of Heroes, it's that you can never have enough character creation and customization options in a superhero MMO. Did you enjoy this? We've donned our capes and tights to explore SOE's DC Universe Online in-depth. Come explore more of Metropolis and Gotham with your friends at Massively!

  • New Aion screens reveal a diversity of beauty

We've long since felt assured in our notion that Aion is a pretty game, but these newest screens on Strategy Informer only further confirm things. And while we're on the subject of pretty screens, it should be mentioned that Aion is a game that's running on a heavily tweaked version of CryEngine -- the same one used for Far Cry. So while the game does look absolutely stunning, we do wonder how well it scales to lower-end machines. And for that matter, how good the game looks on those lower settings. One thing we can be sure of is that the environment team went all out on design. Greens, purples, blues, reds and more really help diversify things. As for those tech related queries, more should be revealed when the game nears its release sometime this year, at least we hope it releases this year.

Baffled when trying to choose what size screen to install in your home theater? Let Da-Lite help. The outfit has just made live its web-based Screen Calculator, which guides individuals through an "easy and clear process for selecting the right projection screen." Users will be able to determine the optimal screen size by "selecting the appropriate format the projection will be shown in, choosing the screen type and lastly picking the correct material or surface." Just don't be shocked if you suddenly start craving a Da-Lite screen when it's all said and done.

  • New Star Trek Online screens look better than ever

Three new screens for Star Trek Online have surfaced and they look quite amazing, especially the dry dock shot above, which you can click on to see a bigger version. The first thing that jumped out at us when looking at these shots are that the graphics engine for the game has already come along a ways. We can't quite put our finger on it, but things are starting to look decidedly more Star Trek and less, well, Champions Online. If it's one thing we've continually learned about MMOs in-development, it's that they always look better and better the closer to get to launch. And with Cryptic's track record on City of Heroes past visual updates, we're really looking forward to seeing how Star Trek Online turns out in another year-plus.%Gallery-28615%

  • Things heat up in new Mines of Moria screens

Turbine has released a new batch of screens featuring the Forges of Khazad-dum for the upcoming Lord of the Rings Online expansion Mines of Moria and they're tempting us to use the "boy are they hot" pun, because they're literally filled with lava. Come to think of it, first it was fire and now we've upgraded to lava. Even some of the Trolls (we're pretty sure they're Trolls) are lava-infused. Ah yes, we dub thee Lava Trolls! Don't get us wrong though, we love the idea of dungeons and zones full of hot, bubbling lava.Give the image above (or gallery below) a click to check out the screens and all that burning liquid. There's also a pretty cool armor set, some impressive architecture and various vanity shots of those Lava Trolls. The more we look at them, the more we're diggin' their spiky-yet-bulbous design.%Gallery-18340%

  • BlackBerry KickStart / Pearl 8220's screens: pretty, T-Mobile-y

Along with the all-new form factor will come an all-new -- well, kinda new -- software build for RIM when it releases the BlackBerry Pearl (or KickStart, or whatever the hell they decide to call it) 8200 series later this year. The most fliptastic of the Pearls will join the Bold in sporting BlackBerry OS 4.6, and shots are surfacing of what exactly that'll look like once it gets grafted onto T-Mobile's WiFi-equipped 8220 model. As one might expect, it looks like it's taking a lot of UI cues already seen and enjoyed on the Bold with the usual T-Mobile twists added in like myFaves support; in particular, we're loving the insanely slick stopwatch display. Too bad we'll use it... oh, never. Cell Phone Signal likes October for the 8220's release, which runs the risk of burying it beneath the Dream -- maybe that rumored $50 out-the-door price can move a few, though. That, or overflow once the Dream stock dries up.

  • New screens from the art-house MMO called Love

MMOs don't have to all be about orcs, elves, and level-grinding. Case in point: Eskil Steenberg's Love, an art-house MMO that defies every conceivable expectation of what the genre is about. There's been a lot of talk lately about how there isn't enough innovation anymore. Quiet down, folks; Love is what you seek. When Steenberg showed the game to us at GDC this year, we were excited and alarmed at the same time -- excited because it was different and gorgeous, alarmed because we had to step outside of our comfort zone. The exploration-driven gameplay allows users to alter the painting-like world to match their dreams, but the world is all they'll be changing, as the game features no character creation or customization. Users don't even to pick their own names. So yes, it's challenging, but God, we miss being challenged. If only there were more projects like this for us to write about. For now, though, let's just swoon over Love. Steenberg released three new images from the game on his blog yesterday, and we have them here so you can soak in the impressionistic atmosphere. Be sure to check out our GDC gallery as well.[Via Rock, Paper, Shotgun]%Gallery-26414%

  • Impressively new Viking: Battle for Asgard screens

We've been somewhat critical of Sega's Viking: Battle for Asgard in the past, but we're pretty impressed with the newest round of screens Sega's released. These new screens feature more of the visceral head chompin' violence that we've seen in the past, but they also show off the game's impressive use of explosions and lighting. Also check out the massive battles. Pretty nice, huh? %Gallery-6254%

We're here at CES and in between long stretches of bedazzlement by hot gadgetry we had a chance to sit down with the SOE folks and have a look-see at their upcoming cross-platform, spy-themed MMOFPS, The Agency. Stay tuned for our upcoming impressions, but for now we'll leave you with some new eye candy from what looks to be a seriously promising title.%Gallery-12934%

  • First Fragile trailer and gameplay details leave us wanting more

Since it first emerged earlier this month, Namco Bandai's Fragile ~ Farewell Moon Ruins has been a mystery wrapped in an enigma. Slowly but surely though, more on the tri-Crescendo-developed "ruin exploration RPG" is being revealed, and the past weekend saw a flurry of new media (such as the trailer above from the official site), all of which points to an RPG rich on atmosphere and suspense.Famitsu also had a few tidbits of gameplay information. Apparently, protagonist Seto will be equipped with a flashlight, which players will be able to control by pointing the Wii Remote at the screen. A metal detector will also be available (again, this will be controlled using the Wiimote), as well as "other tools." There is also talk of demons appearing during combat, though sadly a rather impenetrable translation prevented us from learning more. Nevertheless, you can color us intrigued.Head past the post break for a selection of screens, as taken from last week's magazine scans.

  • TUAW Tip: Open more than 8 windows at once in iPhone Safari

Reader John Tokash wrote in with this tip that shows how to open more than 8 windows at once in iPhone Safari. Here's how it works: After opening 8 windows, quit Safari. To do this, press and hold Home for 4-8 seconds until Safari quits and you return to your home screen. Next, tap on Weather, wait for the screen to load and tap on the Y! icon at the bottom left. This opens a new screen in Safari. Repeat the quit-Weather-Y! sequence as desired. Downside? The dot navigation at the bottom of the Safari screen no longer works but you can still scroll through all open windows.

In the midst of all the excitement and videos of E3, we seem to have missed a very important update -- Battalion Wars 2, aka BWii! By "update," we of course mean "a couple of new images," but hey, it's better than a poke in the eye with the proverbial sharp stick. Or, y'know, with a tank. It's been a while since we've seen images from BWii, and while these new shots are long on artwork, there are a couple of screens in there. Now we just need some new video footage so we can see what's up. We'd also love to see some more detail on how this one is coming along, since it's slated for a fall release and we haven't seen much yet ... like the online multiplayer modes. Guess we'll just have to trust for now that things are all good on the battlefield.%Gallery-4966%[Via press release]

Advertising for Jam Sessions may be somewhat less than good, but that doesn't make the title less worthwhile -- nor does it detract from this hilarious E3 demo! We've tucked it away after the jump, but first you have to run the screenshot gauntlet. We're bad, bad people. We do find some of the screens a little disturbing, however. Is that redheaded chick puking? We really only need so much rock-and-roll realism in our video games, thanks ....%Gallery-3427%

Forever Blue, the ocean exploration game from Arika, has been announced for a US release, with the slightly different. but thematically identical, title of Endless Ocean. We've got a short, but very pretty gallery of screenshots, and a similarly bite-size trailer. The trailer's music is as relaxing as the game looks. Look at that screen up there. It just exudes serenity even when a sea creature is bearing down on the poor diver. %Gallery-4749%

Well, call it a controlled explosion, kinda like a smart bomb -- but we're still pretty pleased to see some sweet new media from a brand new DS game. Er, mostly new, considering it's a franchise title. Still, Mario Party on the DS sounds like a winner, though we would prefer more than just local wireless play. Mario Party could only make Game Night that much more fun, amirite? Oh well, enough complaining -- check out the images in our gallery and the spankin' new trailer after the jump. %Gallery-4736%

While we can honestly say we've never played the first Nanostray game, every bit of media that pops up for Nanostray 2 causes us to wonder if that was a mistake or not. And, you know, it makes us want to play Nanostray 2. The latest crop of screens show off the usual stuff: ships flying around and explosions. Thankfully, those are just the kind of things we look for in our screenshots. So, be sure to hit up our gallery below for all of the latest screens.%Gallery-4607%[Via Go Nintendo]

  • Ecoris or Ecolis -- either way, the online is multiplayer

To those of you who were less-than-pleased at the idea of a RTS title with a bacteria flavor, it looks like Ecolis is now known as Ecoris. The good news is that the game is still adorable, and it looks like the Wi-Fi capability will in fact be online multiplayer. Now if only someone would explain exactly what the hero, Dorian, is. Jeux-France likens him to a Totoro, but we remain unconvinced. You can ponder his origins while perusing the new images in our updated gallery below.Ecoris is scheduled for an August release in Japan, and we're crossing our fingers for a localization some time after that.%Gallery-4106%

  • Need more No More Heroes?

We do, too, and though the countdown has ended, we've been left a little unfulfilled by the No More Heroes site. Guess we can't expect much from these countdowns, eh?The good news is that the site is open, and there's lots of unactivated tabs ripe for expansion. Looks like the real wait begins ... now. But from everything we've seen of No More Heroes, it's worth a few months of thumb-twiddling and breath-holding. We just hope it doesn't suffer the same fate as Manhunt 2 .... Luckily for those of us who burn for more on Suda 51's latest effort, Famitsu has some updates for us, including some hot shots of rocket-legged female assassin Holly Summers. Expect more coverage in the coming months, as No More Heroes is tentatively scheduled for release this winter.

Cute they may be, but those little Sims are vicious. One can't help but wonder, however, if the little fellow there was singing a raucous round of "You ain't got no ice cream" just before the cone dropped. Then it's not mean to laugh at him. It's karma.%Gallery-4109%
