Has Arthas finally decided to leave his fortress and take the five-minute flight to attack the city of Dalaran, famous for its poor aerial defenses? Not exactly. Toie on Emerald Dream sent in a picture of the uncommon Deadly Gladiator's Frostwyrm mount hovering above Dalaran, piloted by a priest in Shadowform. I honestly don't think I've seen a single one of those mounts in-game. Remember in early TBC, when everyone was complaining about the ease of arenas and "welfare epics" and people running around in blues and arena shoulderpads? Yeah, those days are gone forever. Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Sharing your screenshot is as simple as e-mailing aroundazeroth@gmail.com with a copy of your shot and a brief explanation of the scene. You could be featured here next! Remember to include your player name, server and/or guild if you want it mentioned. Please include the word "Azeroth" in your post so it does not get swept into the spam bin. We here at Massively dig Runes of Magic, and are part of a group of selected blogs giving out some pretty cool armor to readers, courtesy of our friends at Runewaker Entertainment and Frogster Interactive. However, if you've never wandered in this very cool F2P game, today's Runes of Magic One Shots gives you a look at the first major city you run across on your travels, and was sent in to us by Nicholas H. He writes in: This is my level 15 Mage in-front of the major city Varanas. The shot really shows off the beauty of Runes of Magic when you have a graphics card that can handle it. Having recently left World of Warcraft, Runes of Magic is a breath of fresh air. The game is truly great! If you've found something interesting, cool, or strange, grab a screenshot and send it to us here! We're always on the hunt for more One Shots. Just send it to oneshots AT massively DOT com along with your character name/server/guild and a quick description of what we're seeing. We'll post your screens and give you full credit for it.%Gallery-9798%

The unofficial rainbow realm of Proudmoore held a Pride celebration on Saturday, and according to Riege of <The Tainted Ones>, the event went off without a hitch. "The after party at Booty Bay was the perfect end to a day of just enjoying the game," Riege wrote. "Alliance and Horde, gay and straight, ogre or human or gnome...it didn't matter. We were just a bunch of people who were having fun. How often does that happen?" But Riege, where are the feral druids? Everyone knows you can't have a good pride parade without bears. *rimshot* Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? With our very own head honcho playing through Guild Wars, we're seeing quite a bit of Ascalon as it was during Prophecies. But what of those lands later into the Guild Wars storyline? Today's One Shots comes to us from Kateri, who gives us a bit of a spoiler (for those who haven't played further, anyway) into what happens in the timeline. Kateri writes in: [This is] my Ranger character in the Eye of the North expansion, scouting enemy territory. For people who turned Ascalon from a pastoral idyll into a ruined wasteland, the Charr certainly keep their own lands looking pretty! When you're out and about in your favorite MMO, why not snap some screenshots and send them our way? It's always appreciated as we love to have lots of different worlds to show off. Just email them to us at oneshots AT massively DOT com along with your name, the game the image is from, and a brief (or long) decsription! We'll post your image for people to enjoy both as part of the column, and in our massive One Shots gallery - now well over 575 images strong and counting!%Gallery-9798%

Hey! Link! You have seventy-two hours left until the moon comes down and destroys Termina. Actually, this picture is from something I hate only slightly less than Majora's Mask -- a saronite node stuck in the air. We've had a ton of variations on the floating-minerals theme submitted, but Nakhama of <Armistice> on Azshara manages to capture the perfect pose of excitement turning to despair. The beauty of EVE Online is - we feel - the danger of it. The most basic of operations can suddenly turn deadly if you're not properly armed - or ready to run for it. It's that danger that we love; the unpredictability - the empires and fortunes that can (and do) change on a word. Today's One Shots comes to us from regular contributor CJ, who is known in EVE Online as Lucia. CJ writes in: Sometimes, we stumble across things we'd rather wish we hadn't in EVE. Good thing to know when it's better to run from a fight than see if you can rack up a couple of million ISK in buying new parts for your ship. If you're part of a free-form role-playing world, we want to know what life is like for you there. Send in a screenshot of your MMO intrigues - or celebrations - to oneshots AT massively DOT com! Be sure to add your name, the name of the game, and a brief description. Yours might be next.%Gallery-9798%

You can think of this as a prequel to yesterday's picture, taken just before the resto druds finally snapped. Feral druid Arradiana of <The Twilight Folk> on Dethecus decided to taunt her leafy brethren with their greatest fear. Be careful, guys. If I've learned nothing else from The Evil Dead -- and I haven't -- it's that trees cannot be trusted. (Thanks to Maisy of <The Twilight Folk> on Dethecus for the pic!) Have you been following Fallen Earth on Twitter lately? If not, you have missed out on some exclusive screenshots the team has been featuring on their Twitter feed throughout the last week. But don't fret! They couldn't just keep them entirely secret from the rest of us. Compiled into a gallery, these new screenshots show some more of the game that is still set to launch within Q2 09, last we've heard. There are some shots of ghouls, burning cars, burning ghouls on cars and our personal favorite, a collection of a few available mounts compiled into one shot (shown above). So if you're not already, go ahead and follow the Fallen Earth team on Twitter. Who knows, they may have more of these exclusives soon!

We don't often get to look in on The Chronicles of Spellborn, so it's great to get a report back from a Spellborn player for One Shots. Today's beautiful-yet-almost-psychadelic screenshot comes in to us from Eric who writes in: Looking down at the docks as I venture, for the first time, to The Vaults. The first thing that drew me into the The Chronicles of Spellborn was the atmospheric scenery. The area I'm traveling to is used to further the lore of the game, and the long trek up to the top of the mountain really gave me a perspective much like a pilgrim. Really well done! Christie of <Karma> on Alonsus-EU writes in, "You know how it is. You're happily raiding in Ulduar, you make an offbeat comment about how druid healers are all lowly scum... and then one of them hops into an Arachnopod Destroyer on the way to Mimiron and then proceeds to barbecue you alive for your impertinence. Do not anger the Trees, their vengeance is vast and terrible to behold." This particular vengeance-bringer is Restodurul, also of <Karma>. • First screenshots from Patch 3.2's Isle of Conquest released

Blizzard just released some screenshots from Patch 3.2's brand new super massive Battleground, the Isle of Conquest. For those unfamiliar with the Isle, it's a large-scale 40v40 Battleground that features siege combat, good old-fashioned melee, capturable resource points, NPC bosses like Alterac Valley, steady Honor ticks from capping certain areas, and more. It's essentially the Battleground with something for everyone. We just recently posted a Q&A with World Designer Cory Stockton, with a lot of questions about the Isle answered. And now we've got screenshots to give us a feel for the place. They show bits and pieces of the Isle, including the Alliance Keep, part of the Refinery, what appears to be the Airship Hangar, and the Lighthouse. It's all very Northrend and very exciting. After all, in the grim, dark future past World of Warcraft, there is only war. As long as you're in a Battleground, anyway. But only if you're fighting instead of fishing or killing harpies. Regardless, there's definitely war going on somewhere. Check out the shots in the gallery below. We'll keep you posted with all the new info we get! %Gallery-66277%

  • One Shots: Bringing the thunder... chicken?

One of the things we always thought was pretty funny about Warhammer Online was how higher-level players in lower-level areas turned them into chickens. Of course, when Mythic came up with this mechanic, they forgot (or maybe not) how silly a chicken on a big nasty wolf might be. Today's One Shots from Xtofer from the guild Grudge on the Vortex server shows off yet another strange and silly aspect of the Warhammer Online world. He writes in: I was turned into a chicken while looking for tome unlocks with a couple guildies. After zoning, I stayed in chicken form! I could cast spells and mount and constantly sound like I was laying an egg. Also, there's nothing like a chicken riding a wolf, right?Have you done - or seen - something off-the-wall that people might find funny? Whatever the reason, and whatever the game, we want to see your screenshots! Just send them to us here at oneshots AT massively DOT com along with your name/server/guild and a brief description of the shot. We'll post it out here for everyone to check out and give you all the credit.%Gallery-9798%

Did you really believe that the Ember Clutch was created by a bunch of fire-breathing proto-dragons? Pshaw. That's just what they want you to think. In reality, Akrasia of Steamwheedle Cartel-EU got a little too careless with her Arcane Missiles, and what was once a thriving forest is now a bunch of very large matchsticks. Remember, kids, as the Rabid Brown Bear says, only you can prevent forest fires. At least that's what I think he says. It's hard to understand him through all the foaming at the mouth and chewing on my leg. With the blog of Brad McQuaid springing back online after a long hiatus, many folks are once again talking about Vanguard - for better or worse. Of course, while McQuaid has been offline racing dirtbikes, the folks at SOE have been hard at work improving the game leaps and bounds from those early days. Today's One Shots shows off a dreary, stormy night, and a poor, sodden wanderer - CaptainZoli - who decided it might be better outside than inside. CaptainZoli writes: The thirty day trial lured me back to Vanguard, and here is my character, Lanidia, taking part in said return, standing outside the Asylum in preparation for a dark and stormy night of adventuring. One Shots is in need of more screenshots, so if you've taken some time while out adventuring, why not gather them up for us and send them to us here at oneshots AT massively DOT com? Add your name, the game it's from - guild, server and description welcome too - and you're set. Couldn't be easier, eh?%Gallery-9798%

Anyone up for a pig pickin'? Santhice of <Blood Runs Cold> on Altar of Storms sends in a picture from one of Kalimdor's most secluded and most entertaining instances, Razorfen Downs. Sure, you'll probably get killed by the opposing faction ten times before making it to the entrance, but the Coldrage Dagger and Robes of the Lich are worth the winding crawl up the center spiral. Santhice writes that this picture is of a pig-headed furnace from the beginning of the instance. Eight brand-spanking-new screens for Champions Online have been released into the wild in order to sate your appetite. So what do you say dear readers, is your appetite diminished? Yeah we didn't think it really would be, but that's no biggie. That September launch is only a couple months away and we've got our imaginations to keep us occupied.Just knowing that soon we'll be able to pound in the faces of robot cowboys -- and do it in style -- is a little heartening. There's also the screenshot above to consider. Do you want to rock some classic Electro mask action, or would you prefer dual-weilding guns? They're both options, you know. We're not entirely sure at this point, maybe we could dual weild guns that shoot lightning. Yeah, let's go with that one.%Gallery-17946%

Normally we don't get excited for new screens in the "Holy S! It's the future in front of my eyes!" kind of way, but friends, today is an exception. Vicarious Visions has posted its second 3D screenshot of upcoming superhero extravaganza, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 (both found after the break) on its website and, to be honest, it's really impressive, allowing you to spin the full image in three dimensions. The newest one features Deadpool leaping into the air and firing dual pistols at a bunch of fools, while the first (and even more impressive) screen has Thor combining with The Human Torch's powers to create some form of fire tornado. That's right -- a fire tornado. And no, things don't get much sweeter than that.[Thanks, Wombat!]%Gallery-48082%

Jed sends in this screenshot of his paladin taking a nostalgic ride through Westfall at nighttime. Remember the early leveling quests in places like Westfall and Redridge? Where you didn't have all this story and meaning, and all you had to do was deliver messages from one lazy jerk questgiver to another, or try to find a boar with an intact liver among dozens of boars with hepatic failure? On second thought, the early levels can go hang.
