GameDaily reports that Gears of War composer Kevin Riepl has provided the score for the upcoming MMO FPS Huxley. The score reportedly took 2 days to record with the help of the Hollywood Studio Symphony at Warner Bros. Studios. Riepl says he's "proud" to have worked on Webzen's Huxley, the varied themes of which demand a "gripping soundtrack" according to the composer. We're quite fond of the Gears of War soundtrack, so we have high hopes for the soundscape of Huxley. Here's hoping the actual game can live up to it. We'll find out when the game hits retailers in 2008.

We often wonder what we could be doing with our time if we weren't always playing and/or writing about video games. After watching this video by pianist Frank DAngelo, we bet he asked himself the same thing. The answer he came up with? Playing all of the music from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask on piano and then recording the entire thing. Yeah, we neglected to mention that this video is the first ... of 10. No, we can't begin to pretend to understand the rationale behind DAngelo's reported eight-month project. But we certainly give him points for effort.

If you're not getting enough of the gaming experience by, you know, actually playing games, you can now load up your iPod with tracks from your favorite Electronic Arts games like Def Jam Icon, SSX 3, Need for Speed Underground 2 and Burnout: Dominator. Because apparently you can never have enough game soundtrack in your life. Okay, I admit it. I have absolutely no clue why anyone would ever want to listen to an EA soundtrack or why they would buy one for their iPod. But if this is the music for you (and, frankly, who am I to judge), the tracks are now available for purchase on iTunes. (At least they are for US iTunes users. Europeans will have to wait a while before joining in on this unique cultural experience.) Pop by the EA Trax site for more details. Rawk on, Madden NFL 2007!
