The RPGs just keep on coming today! Watch this pretty insanely awesome trailer of the upcoming Kingdom of Paradise 2 trailer. Admittedly, the first game wasn't too great, earning an average score of 72 on Metacritic. The sequel, which hasn't been announced outside of Japan, seems to correct a lot of issues with the original and now features some pretty graphics, great production values, and intense combat. Don't you agree that it looks a heck of a lot better now?

What's not to like about Final Fantasy III? The music is beautiful, the game has been lovingly redone with all new graphics, and it's still got the old school cool of the early (well, any) Final Fantasy titles. This video makes it easy to figure out why the series has endured for so many years. Don't forget to wipe the drool away afterwards! [Via Go Nintendo]

The Japanese official website for Jeanne d'Arc recently went live, and not only does it feature tons of screenshots, it has an absolutely beautiful trailer. It gives you a great look at the game: the incredible cel-shaded graphics, to the epic, sweeping music, and the beautifully animated anime cutscenes. I've been trying to hype this game a lot. Hopefully, this trailer will generate a ton of response. Also available: Download for PC [Thanks, steve!] [Via IGN]

PlayStation 3 and Spider-Man 3's destinies seem to coincide with each other (they share the same font at least), so it seems to make sense that the official Spider-Man 3 website features a PSP section where you can download a wallpaper and trailer for the portable. If you're a Firefox user like me, the site's use of pop-ups makes it a pain in the ass to download these files, so just direct-download them here:WallpaperTrailerThese files come in EXE files to make sure that everyone is able to load this content to their systems. But still, it feels weird seeing the InstallShield come up when you're trying to install a freakin' wallpaper.

Grab your over-priced popcorn. A big screen trailer for Gears of War will roll before 5 upcoming theatrical releases including Miami Vice, Pulse, A Scanner Darkly, Clerks 2, and Little Miss Sunshine. Not content to share time with ads for Raisinettes, CliffyB is hinting at a fullscale GoW movie -- with Uwe Boll in the director's chair. Just kidding. It's not a horror flick.[Thanks Luis]

You may remember that I was absolutely confounded in my last post about Mizuguchi's upcoming music shooter for the PSP, Every Extend Extra. To quote myself, "My best explanation of the game involves explosions, geometric figures, numbers and vectors." Yeah. That was really helpful, wasn't it? Thankfully, through the magic of the internet, a new trailer for the game has surfaced, showing us how you must detonate your ship to create massive chain combos of destruction. Once you start seeing the gameplay in action, the demo becomes a bit more clear. The prospect of setting up chains, while fighting bosses in a psychadelic environment, with techno music thumping in the background, has propelled this game to great heights on my most wanted list.

We knew a new Bomberman was on the way, but ever since it got quietly announced back in April, we haven't heard much from our pyromaniac friend. Well, it appears that Hudson has made a brand-new trailer, and it's filled with so many exclamation points, it's explosive. Get it? I'll stop my bad puns and let the trailer do the talking: All new levels, boss enemies, and power-ups! Network up to 4 players with one UMD game! You can play Bomberman ANYWHERE! ANYTIME! The Game Sharing feature is what gets me the most excited. It's great to see more great games are taking advantage of this sorely underused feature. (Now, when are we going to get Infrastructure multiplayer?)

We know how much you love actual game coverage, even if its a hit-and-run quickie. But all jokes aside (Riiidge Raaacer!) here's a short but sweet teaser of the 7th installment to the franchise. There's no official word yet on a release date, but the racing series has always accompanied a PlayStation launch since 1994. Given the history, it wouldn't be a surprise to see this on shelves come November. When I said this was short, I wasn't kidding: it only clocks in at a little over a minute.

Check out the shaky cam action someone scooped from E3 this year. It's not too bad, but it will give you the full Tekken 6 trailer treatment you may have been looking for. Unfortunately, it's a little stiff on actual gameplay footage. Instead you'll see some cinematic FMV sequences that show off some of the characters pretty nicely. Clocking in at a little over five minutes, you can check it out by clicking above.[EDIT: Fixed the player- Sorry all!]

GameTrailers has recently released a new trailer (in HD!) for the upcoming Trauma Center: Second Opinion for the Wii. A direct sequel to the cult-hit DS game, this iteration will make full use of the Wii controller to produce a realistic "operating room" feel.In the trailer, we can glean a few tidbits of information. Dr. Derek Stiles and his nurse, Angie, are obviously back for the ride; other characters and locations (Caduceus, Hope Hospital) also seem to remain largely unchanged. The game is now sporting a more cel-shaded look, most likely to prevent antsy players from feeling too uncomfortable during the procedures. The game screen seems to be a bit crowded, as there's no longer a second screen to display dialogue and other statistics, but we have no doubt Atlus is going to produce another top-notch game.Enjoy the new footage; Trauma Center: Second Opinion is slated as a Wii launch title. Get psyched.[Thanks, Nushio!]

  • Bungie behind the scenes nifty as always

Bungie says their behind the scenes look at the making of the Halo 3 trailer is a "nifty counterpoint" to that IGN documentary from last week. I guess when you're working on the world's most anticipated video game, and offering glimpses of next-gen Master Chief  like hits off a crackpipe, "nifty" just seems like the word to use. If your beat up laptop (like mine) sucks at handling 720p video, don't worry. This niftyness is coming to Xbox Live Marketplace in the near future.[Thanks Nitin]

As if you didn't have enough high definition E3 videos clogging up your hard drive, here's one more. Bungie is showing off the making of the Halo 3 trailer that closed Microsoft's pre-E3 conference. Beyond viewing the the developers of the game in high-def, you can also get a look at the music of the trailer and various pre-production shots, unused angles from the real-time cinematic and some hints about where they are going with what what is apparently the end of the Halo trilogy. According to Bungie you will also be able to download the high def version of this video to your Xbox 360 via the marketplace in a week or two. We like HD, we don't like waiting, head over and get the video in 720p in WMV or QuickTime format right now.

One of the laments of my summer drought post was that one of my favorite programs, Entourage on HBO-HD, would not be in high definition since it hasn't for the first two seasons. However today they have posted up a 720p trailer on Xbox Live Marketplace (along with a theme and gamer pics) proudly touting itself as a Hi-Def trailer, so it seems likely that we will get 1080i display of the adventures of Vince & friends. Summer HDTV watching is definitely looking up now.

Here's a bandwidth-friendly download of the full MGS4 trailer that you can stream. It packs more punch than its three minute counterpart, but alas - there are no subs for the Japanese dialogue. Of course that doesn't take away from the overall experience, so give it a download and check it out for yourself.
