Or is this all wishful thinking on certain individuals? Nah, there's nothing in official media to say that Anduin and Wrathion are anything but friends. Also, they're children. But for many fanfic writers and fanartists, well, there's nothing more beautiful than two boys in love. Even if one of them is, for all intents and purposes, a toddler.

Seriously, I have nothing to add about it, and I don't think warriors are doing badly or anything right now, I just couldn't not use it. It's simply too perfect. Oliver Dawrant asks: Q4tQ how would you feel about the valour cap working like the conquest cap, as in if i take a month off it raises each week? Considering that I'm currently taking time off from WoW to work on my writing and some unrelated health issues, I'd probably like the heck out of that idea. Especially if it mean I could cap my total 3000 valor points in one week to get my stuff fully upgraded.

Damion asked: How does one deal with :slow trolls" in hearthstone (aside from just beating the stuffing out of thems, which is my preferred method, they're almost always terrible)? I'm speaking of the kind of players who hits the timer every turn in an effort to make you concede because they're being annoying? And do you think blizzard is going to do anything about it? It's super irritating, I encountered a "player" named 111111 the other night, not only did they timer out every turn, but they made profoundly illogical plays constantly, kept trying to attack their own minions, and didn't attack me once. If I had to guess, it almost seemed like it was a bot autoplaying to teach itself HS....

The Queue: I hate the human man

There's a reason none of my human characters ever takes their helmets off. Because human men are the worst faces in World of Warcraft. Yes, worse than those orc female and troll female faces, you know, the ones no one picks. The difference is, there's no good human male face. Not one. Arkainjel001 asks: Q4tQ: I was working on a Warcraft timeline of pivotal moments and came to a sort of roadblock. With all the races working together against the Burning Legion/Scourge, after the Third War there was peace...for about 4 years. Then World of Warcraft starts with a divide in the factions Alliance and Horde. I realize things were still pretty tense and it was an uneasy truce, but what event or events occurred that disturbed the peace entirely and pit them against each other? The events of Reign of Chaos saw the Horde under attack by human forces led by Admiral Daelin Proudmoore, from his daughter Jaina's city of Theramore. This ended when the Horde raided Theramore and killed Admiral Proudmoore. Then, if you check our chronological guide to the Warcraft setting maintained by Anne Stickney, you'll see the novel Cycle of Hatred is set one year before the events of vanilla World of Warcraft and covers a lot of what happens to make things worse.

Happy Sunday, everybody. itsdeeps asked: so what do you guys think/hope will be the next race model previewed? I think there are two answers to this. The "I play this one a lot and want to see how great it looks" answer for me is male draenei. The "I have to see how the hell they're going to fix them" answer is human males.

But I queue, but I queue-queue-queue~ MTA asked: What's your opinion on the news that Alpha has been postponed? This is obviously bad for Blizzard but how do players view it? The more you wait the more you want it? Or is it "meh, lost interest"? Well, as someone who genuinely likes WoW but is basically through playing until 6.0, obviously I'm sad I don't yet have access to an alpha or beta, but I get. Certain things need to be done to make the alpha worthwhile to open to the public. Blizzard is making me less and less confident that we're going to see the game go live before its "on or before" date, though.

Since HemttTanker seemed so shocked, I took this picture of my monitor, keyboard, and a tiny smidgeon of my computer sitting in their usual spot on the floor in my office. I don't know why, but I've always preferred it to sitting at a desk - perhaps it's because I can zone out more easily and write without any sort of back pain or fatigue. Or maybe it's because I fear chairs, and can't use them properly. The world may never know. Anyway! On to our question answering extravaganza! Cairne Bloodhoof YYYYYEAAAHHHHHH EldreMagus asks: Q4tQ: I hate LFR. What are odds that Blizz will create enough non-LFR options to be Normal ready, gear-wise, throughout WoD? That seems to be their goal, actually. In multiple interviews now they've said that you should be able to go from normal dungeons to normal (what we call flex now) raiding in Warlords. So you'll likely go normal dungeons - normal raids - heroic raids when you start raiding in Draenor.

I'm telling you guys, seriously, there needs to be a Warlords of Draenor machinima set to Kashmir. Go read the lyrics if you don't believe me. Father of the four winds, fill my sails, across the sea of years - Someone get on this. panicForce asks: To what degree to high elves still exist? a handful in the world, no more than a dozen. none of them anywhere, everyone's a blood elf. open your damn eyes, Force. there are tons. There are very, very few high elves left. Conservative estimates are that roughly 1 out of 10 high elves survived the Scourge invasion of Quel'Thalas and the destruction of the Sunwell. Of those survivors (basically 1/10th of their numbers before Arthas) only 1 in 10 of those decided to forgo racial solidarity and remained a high elf. Most of those were the ones in the Allerian Stronghold before the reopening of the Dark Portal by Kazzak (who didn't even know about the Sunwell's destruction and the creation of the blood elves) or scattered among institutions like the Kirin Tor in Dalaran, lodges like Quel'Danil Lodge, and a small population in Theramore that died when the Horde bombed the city. It's fair to say that none of your options are accurate - there's probably at least a few hundred of them left. But that's basically it. It's strange to count blood elves and high elves as a different race - it's not been all that long since Kael declared them the Sin'dorei. But if you do, then high elves are a race to which extinction is practically assured.

Let us answer them, here, in this place, at this time. Orkchop asks: Is Garrosh Azeroth's version of Napoleon? Fought many wars, went on trial, sent to island, appeared in Time Bandits. You're forgetting Napoleon's ridiculously important appearance in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. Does this mean that Garrosh will escape our wrath in Warlords of Draenor by jumping into a phone booth with Asric and Jadaar? We'll find out. Captain Cakewalk asks: Q4tQ: When are we likely to see more updates on the models we have yet to see? I really cannot wait to see the Night Elf and Troll models especially myself! When Blizzard is ready to show them. I know that's a disappointing answer, but it's also the only answer we can give you - there's no schedule or anything like that currently. I'd love to be able to tell you night elves tomorrow but that's not something I can honestly say.

A question about in-game languages! My favorite! Lenneth asked: When tromping through ZG the other day I noticed something odd. One of the Zandalari Hierophants mentioned a certain MoP inspired dino boss we all came to know and love. Here is what our troll buddy said, those of troll ancestry feel free to translate; "Deh dem riva tinG bwoyar Ju wassa cyaa oondasta fu ju dim iman is ir machette" Since ZG was revamped and was part of Cata content I thought that name was interesting. Possible foreshadowing of our future Isle of Giants' all star? Most threatening word in the Zandalari dialect Blizz could adopt for the bad dino? Perhaps "oondasta" was the dying curse thrown at the player going through ZG and that curse finally manifested when we arrived in Pandaria? /dons tinfoil hat :P The truth is much more boring! Each race's in-game "language" is actually just a set of specific words used in the place of English words with the same amount of characters. For example, if you type a six-letter word and set your language to "Draenei", then you'll get one of these words in its place: Arakal, Azgala, Kazile, Mannor, Mishun, Rakkan, Rakkas, Rethul, Revola, Thorje, Tichar The word "oondasta" has been in the game since launch as part of the Zandali (troll) language. It's just one of the eight-letter words. Occam's Razor tells me that when looking for a name for Oondasta, the devs simply looked at the list of Zandali words and found a fun one.

I can't believe I only just found out there was a new Sleigh Bells album released last year. What the heck. Hyde_v asked: We know that gnomes and dwarves originated from their electronic and stone forms via the Curse of Flesh. We know that humans are descendants of the Vry'kul. We know that night elves evolved from trolls. But where did the trolls originate from? Azeroth was home to the Old Gods and their Elemental armies. Were the trolls a slave race? Azeroth had indigenous humanoid races, or at least ones not created by the titans. Trolls appear to be one of those races, at least until we hear otherwise.
The Queue: My imaginary WoW novel
Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Matthew Rossi will be your host today. Questions. Let's answer a few, shall we? Orkchop asks: If you were able to pick the subject and theme of a WoW novel, what would you pick, and who would be in it? Honestly, while I don't know what period I'd pick, I know who I'd like to do a novel about - Sky Admiral Catherine Rogers. (Before I read War Crimes I wanted to do a Windrunner sisters novel, but now Christie Golden has pretty much topped that for me forever.) It really depends on what they do in Warlords, though - if she doesn't get any screen time in game, then I'd want to write about what she was up to during that period. If she does get some screen time, then I'd want to write the aftermath. But either way, Sky Admiral Rogers fascinates me - her responses to what the Horde has done in Southshore just seem more real than what you get from other characters. I like that she's absolutely not forgiving the Horde, and that she's fully willing to wage their kind of war back at them. I get the idea that an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind, but I also get that it's not natural feeling to expect everyone to just get over things. And we could definitely use more women in WoW's story. Runner neck and neck with the Admiral would be Garona. Can you believe we've never gotten a Garona novel? Oh, she's been in books and comics and stuff, but never her own story. A half-draenei, half-orc character with ties to important characters from both factions, how have we never had a novel of her life? Crazy. What was her mother's name? How did Gul'dan raise her? What did she do before Gul'dan sent her to be his emissary to Medivh? What happened to her after she killed Llane and Orgrim Doomhammer tortured her almost to death? I know there's a lot of baggage with Med'an, but I'd love to see some 'Lone Wolf and cub' style action with Garona in the period between the Second and Third Wars.

Every now and again I get the songs from Mary Poppins stuck in my head, and then I remember how incredibly strange and dark the books are in comparison to Disney's fluffy, song and dance filled treatment. No really, it's kind of weird. And if you've never read the original books, go track them down. They're amazingly ... weird, and sometimes sad, in a beautiful way. John22 asked: Q4Q: Stormwind has a section for the Dwarves. Any idea on the story behind this and why doesn't Ironforge have a human section? I don't think there's an official reason, but I think you could safely assume it's because when the dwarves visit Stormwind, they would like someplace where they can actually get a decent ale. Humans aren't exactly brewmasters.
The Queue: Fictional Blizzard

Got a lot of questions to try and answer tonight. Let's get started. Alex Ziebart asks: Fictional Blizzard just canceled Warlords of Draenor. Where are we going instead? I don't know about you, mon frere, but I will be going somewhere quiet where I can weep. But let's play the game. Blizzard cancels Warlords of Draenor. Somehow they've had another expansion in development this whole time and put that out instead. What expansion is it? Where could we possibly go? I'm going to go out on a limb and say 'no place we've ever heard of'. Remember, there's a lot of precedent for that - Warcraft III introduces two continents no one who played WCI or WCII had ever heard of. We could go to a new continent on Azeroth, or we could go underground, or we could go to an entirely new world we've never heard of before. And that's what I'd like to see, at this point - something entirely new. Something we have never seen before. Pandaria came close - it was an entire continent of new lore, new stories, new characters and factions. So give us something even more unknown, an entire world we've never seen or heard of before. But I'm okay with Draenor. Frankly, it is that, more or less. We've never seen most of it. The continent we're starting on is the only one we even know a little - there's a lot more we don't know at all. There's at least one entire continent on the world map to the south we've just seen a little fragment of.

A very informative video. michaelm517 asked: Today, I received the notification allowing me to choose a reward from the Recruit-A-Friend system. With the recent tease of the fiery mechanical steed, and the message, "Fiery mechanical steeds are best when they can be used with friends," I have a good feeling that it could be a new RaF mount. If I am wrong, then whatever, but if that is the case, can I save my current RaF reward token and use it on the new mount if it ends up being one? You sure can! Hold onto that token.

Guys, over 500 comments yesterday and barely any questions? This is my weekend hell. Moonwhisper asked: So I was looking on mmo champion and I saw a lot of names from files such as: kil'jaeden , cho'gal, *HIGHLORD* bolvar fordragon. Do you think we will see them in this expansion? Maybe Cho'gall and Kil'jaeden? They could be around and doing stuff in this alternate timeline. I don't see any reason or contrivance that would make seeing Bolvar make sense, though. Highlord Bolvar Fordragon was always his name.
The Queue: What to go see when you're sixty
Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Matthew Rossi will be your host today. Got a really good question I want to answer off the bat, so here we go. thingwhatwows asks: what's one thing I should show my sister at level 60? This is her first time through the game. Any other don't miss points? There's actually a lot of stuff I wouldn't want to miss in the game at level 60, but if you're forcing me to choose but one, I'd say take her to the various raid zones - Blackrock Mountain, Zul'Gurub, Ahn'Qiraj - from back in Vanilla days. Get her to turn her distances all the way up so she can really see them, too. There was a lot of work put into these areas back when they launched, and especially Blackrock Mountain is always going to be one of my favorite places. I still go in and run around inside the various dungeons and raids from time to time, because no place in WoW has ever come as close to feeling like a real place people live in and fight over to me, while also feeling absolutely unreal and fantastic. It's built right into a volcano. I know it's probably nostalgia, but I find Blackrock Mountain amazingly cool. Don't forget the Anduin Lothar statue outside, either. Remember, they're updating UBRS for Warlords, so go see it while you can.
