Not a drop of news about a single phone coming to Sprint USA...
@giesen Ain't that a b·tch! I am gonna freak out if Sprint doesn't get a good Android phone soon.
Goodbye, weird semi-official show we could never completely understand. You've been... interesting.
HTC won big time, they have phones coming out with Windows 7 Mobile and Android, they're pretty well positioned!
Microsoft Phone wins at MWC? i never thought id ever say those words
What ever happened to WP7S Business Ed? Microsoft never mentioned it though it's was mentioned in Engadget awhile ago.
Great coverage guys!!!! Hasta la vista Barcelona.
I don't, know though, I expected MWC to be bigger, there weren't any Palm or Motorola announcements, and the HTC ones aren't coming to the US... In other words, nothing really great.
MWC 2010 = MEGA DISAPPOINTMENT :(
Cataluña is not another country, its a spanish provice. im spanish, born in madrid, now live in barcelona. saying that catañuña is not spain just because they speak another language and have cultural differences is like saying alaska is a country and not part of USA
Alex, it's not the place to say that. Catalunya is a country, not a state like spain is(by now). It is not to you to say what Catalonia is because it is obvious that you live there but you don't feel part of it.This has to be stated by impartial experts part not influenced by the predominant and old fashioned Spanish Imperialism broadcasting what Catalonia is or is not. What is easy to tell is that Spanish is spoken in Catalonia because foreign invasions. Bcn it is the Capital of a Culture, Nation but I agree, not State, and overall Europe, the mirror of BCN. Read, think and open your eyes to a reality that is all arround you and has nothing to do with the things you have been taught, you will discover a rich country, with a milenium language, older than spanish, very close to french, occitan which has the oldest flag of Europe. The truth is out there.
@sorollblanc cataluña is not a country! to be exact, its a autonomous comunity. look it up. ive lived here all my life. the president of spain has power over calatuña and any other part of spain. same with the king. if you think cataluña is a country, then whos its president? and dont try to tell me about my country, i know about spain, including cataluña. you might have a different meaning for country and state. andorra is a country, cataluña is not. its not recognized as one anywhere but in cataluña itself. i understand that they have a different culture and language, and they dont feel spanish. but that does not mean they are not in spain or from spain. this is not the place to argue about this, you can contact me if you want, just seach for alexdlc69 on youtube.
@sorollblanc Yeah right. Stop appropiating Valencian history you moron. What next claim rights to Naples and the rest of Europe. Yeah right start rewriting history. Watch out everyone this guy will next claim "his people" invented the roman alphabet and that they came to earth via a stranded UFO that missed the pyramids and did a crash landing in what now is the Nou Camp.
Everyone heads up! Catalans also invented and patented the wheel way when before the Cro Magnnon ever walked the place. Heal to the Catalans heal.
@xockes +1
@alexdlc Sure I will, let me some time. Meanwhile I looked for the definition of a county in wikipedia in english, of course.
In geography, a country is a geographical region. The term is often applied to a political division or the territory of a sovereign state, or to a smaller, or former, political division of a geographical region. Usually, but not always, a country coincides with a sovereign territory and is associated with a state, nation or government.
The country can also mean the countryside, as opposed to the city.
I can't understand which part of it is not fulfilled by Catalonia, Former soverign state from X to XV centuries, and can be a non soverign state. I insist, no dubt is not a state like Spain, but to me it's not worth arguing, It is clear what it is to you and what it is to me. It's you who is simplifying a very beautifull thik, it's not just a bunch of stupid indians despite what others say..
Cheers
I'm catalan and I live in Barcelona. Catalonia is not recognized as a country. But our language and culturer make us feel a litle bit a part of the rest of Spain, and we are proud of that.
Other thinks like politicians terms I dont't whant to speak. I don't realy care. It as simple that I feel okey beeing Catalan.
Oh, and talking about MWC I desire a Htc Desire.
@(Unverified) i dont have a problem with what you say, but you do consider yourself as being from spain right? i just dont like when people say they are from cataluña but they are not from spain
Since this was in Spain, shouldn't it be titled Adiós, Barcelona instead of Adéu, Barcelona? Adéu is French.
@Brian Adeú is Catalan, and in Catalonia we speak this language. I really appreciate that Engadget used this word.
@(Unverified) I know Catalan. My wife's family is from there. But it is only a co-official language in the Spanish autonomous area and is the official Andorra. It is not an official language of Spain. And yes, Adeú is Catalin but also was French. French, Catalan, Spain, Romanian, and some others are romance languages which come from Latin. Catalan is just co-official in the far eastern part of Spain, and a bit to the south. However, being that Spanish is the only official language for all of Spain, and most of the world knows adiós, adiós is much more appropriate. And actually I should say that adieu is French but is is a miss common spelling to be adeu. But in the US it is a saying to say something like 'i bid you adieu'. I could go on and on about this. But all in all, adiós is much more appropriate.
@Brian You know Catalan, I'm Catalan. I don't understand why beeing "only" co-offical makes it less?? I don't mind the level of officiality, catalan is the language we speak here in Barcelona. And this is why I really like it when Endgadget puts Adéu.
Searoisly I d'ont know why tou think isn't appropiate the catalan word.
very nice fare!

Ummmmm since this was Barcelona (pronounced Barthelona to the real Spañolitos out there).... shouldn't the title have been Adios Barcelona?
So many questions unanswered... Where are the other 3 Android phones for AT&T damn it???
Goodbye MWC... and Google thanks for the free Nexus One !!
