The Taut Driftwood Bow looks like a perfect nature-loving Night Elf Hunter's weapon, while the High-Strung Bow looks like an incredibly badass bow -- it might as well be epic. It looks so cool I almost want to level my Hunter in Northrend even though I prefer guns.
I'm not big on crossbows, but these two greens look really true to the medieval feel of Wrath of the Lich King. Blizzard's designers have grounded the high fantasy and looked towards more rustic -- and savage -- designs.
Even the green daggers in Northrend, a common quest reward, look really cool and vicious. Sure, everyone will be running around with one, but at least everyone will look cool.
While there are some brass knuckle-type fist weapons, these greens look incredibly brutal and savage.
This is but a sampling of the one-handed maces and axes in Wrath of the Lich King. It's interesting that Blizzard still thinks up of cool names for greens, like Mace of the Fallen Raven Priest and Rod of Poacher Punishment. There are other models for this type of item, but these jumped out at me for their raw and battle-worn feel.
There are a bunch of other 1h swords in the game, but these two are the prominent models. The Blade of Diligence is actually bigger than it looks, too, almost like a 2-hander when equipped.
The 2h maces look less epic than some models, but definitely look menacing... almost primitively so. I included an image of the Ungainly Mace, which appears to be a world drop with a random enchantment. It's not as impressive, but it certainly doesn't look like your ordinary mace, either. And those spikes look like they'll hurt. With greens like these, I'm only more stoked to see what the blues and purples look like. I've almost forgiven Blizzard for the brutally ugly Season 4 gear. Almost. Although, maybe if I get that Beta key...
By popular demand, these staves only have two major models but they look pretty darn decent. None of that triangle-on-a-stick. Like most of the stuff in Northrend, there's wood and spiky things.
Alright, these aren't exactly greens, but I thought they'd be an interesting addition to the gallery as a first look at the Death Knight Rune Weapons. There's another Death Knight quest weapon at an earlier level, but shares old world models.
