GWF: Dream Theater plays Crimson Skies
Progressive rock band Dream Theater will be taking combat to the skies this week as they're scheduled for some Game with Fame old-school Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge style. From 5-7:00PM eastern this Wednesday, December 5th the entire Dream Theater crew will be on Xbox Live supporting the new Xbox Originals download service playing Crimson Skies multiplayer and possibly some other games too. Make the jump for complete details, band gamertags, send off a few friend requests and play Wednesday night. Crimson Skies and Dream Theater, it's like chocolate and peanut butter ... or something like that.
NBA LIVE it up online against Ludacris
The rapping madman that also sports some decent acting and gaming skills Ludacris will be on Xbox Live to challenge gamers to a few games of NBA LIVE 08.This Friday, November 30th from 5-7:00PM eastern Ludacris will participate in Xbox Live's Game with Fame and sign in under the gamertag "LudacrisGWF". So, if you have mad love for NBA LIVE 08 or mad love for Ludacris, send a friend request, an invite or some crazy-fanboy style picture and see what happens. Game with Fame: allowing obsessed gamers to be obsessive over their persons of obsession since 2005.
Seether Game with Fame next Thursday
More Game with Fame will be going down next Thursday when Seether jumps online to kick some bum in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. From 9:00PM through midnight eastern on November 15th, Seether members Shaun Morgan (SeetherShaun) , Dale Stewart (SeetherDale), and John Humphrey (SeetherJohn) will be online playing CoD4. Send them a friend request or two (or three), be online next week and maybe you'll be lucky enough to play against them and discuss music. We're sure they'll be up for anything.
Challenge Jimmy Eat World to a game of Halo 3
Following in the footsteps of both Fall Out Boy and developer Valve, musical group Jimmy Eat World is ready and willing to log onto Xbox Live and get their game on. This Saturday, October 27th from 1-3:00PM eastern, Jimmy Eat World will be hopping on Xbox Live to play a few hours of Halo 3 with their fans (and enemies) as part of the Xbox.com sponsored Game with Fame tradition. So, if you're all about pwning Jimmy and his edible world, simply send a friend request or message to gamertags "JimmyEatWorld_J", "JimmyEatWorld_T", "JimmyEatWorld_R" or "zlind76". Then, come Saturday, be ready to game with the musical fame that is Jimmy Eat World and prove once and for all that just because a person can eat the world, it doesn't mean they're good at Halo 3.
Halo 3 gaming with Fall Out Boy
This Friday, October 12th from 4-6:00PM eastern Fall Out Boy will be on Xbox Live fragging with their compatriots in a little Halo 3 matchmaking. As part of the Game with Fame festivities, Fall Out Boy members Andy Hurley and Joe Trohman (ahh, no Pete Wentz) will be showing off their Halo 3 FPS skills for a few hours. And if you want to get in on the action (and like, who wouldn't?), send a friend request to Gamertags "FallOutBoyAndy" and / or "FallOutBoyJoe" by Friday and maybe you'll get to play with them. Because, you know, that's how this Game with Fame thing works ... or so we think.
Paul Wall to show off his Madden skillz
Big rapper and grill connoisseur Paul Wall loves his Madden and challenges you to a few quarters of fun. As part of Xbox.com's Game with Fame, Paul Wall will be playing Madden '07 this Saturday, June 30th on Xbox Live from 7-9:00PM eastern. So, if you're up for some football fun or just want to put the rapper in his place, send a friend request to gamertag GWFPaulWall before Saturday night rolls around. Wolfmother challenges you to a race off
Our fellow Guitar Hero II rockers Wolfmother will be playing some Forza 2 this Saturday as part of Xbox.com's Game With Fame. The band will be online playing Forza 2 sometime on June 23rd and to get a chance to race with them simply send gamertag WolfmotherGWF a friend request. That's it, sit back, rinse, repeat (minus the repeat part). We're also nearly certain that they'd be more comfortable rocking out to some Guitar Hero II online if they could, but you know ... a certain developer didn't include such feature in the 360 version. Oh well, Forza 2 will work just fine.
Trash talk with the Aqua Teens over XBLA Uno next Tuesday
In what is poised to be the most entertaining Game with Fame to date, Aqua Teen Hunger Force voice actor Dana Snyder (Master Shake) and show creators Dave Willis (Meatwad, Carl, Inignokt) and Matt Maiellaro (Err) will be online next Tuesday, April 24, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. ET to play Uno over Xbox Live.Those interested in playing the trio need to send a friend request to Gamertag ATHFGWF for a shot at landing that anger-inducing Wild Draw 4 against the brow of Master Shake. Of course, the quick-witted Dana Snyder is sure to reward you with an amusing retort.The only reason God doesn't erase you from the face of the Earth is because you amuse him somehow.
Play with your food, GWF Aqua Teen Hunger Force
Tuesday, April 24th you can play a little UNO on Xbox Live with your favorite soda, french fries and meatball. The Aqua Teen Hunger Force will take part in Xbox.com's Game With Fame series next Tuesday from 7:00-8:30PM eastern. To get a chance to play, simply send a friend request to gamertag "ATHFGWF" and await your chance to play with those food celebrities. Glam rocking Scissor Sisters join GWF
The Scissor Sisters and others will be jumping on Xbox Live February 28th as part of the Game With Fame program and Europe's Big Day Out event. Other GWFers include various Quicksilver snowboarders and funky fresh DJs who will be playing during the four day long Big Day Out festivities. We think this GWF session is only open to our European brothers, because it is being held solely for the Big Day Out. Game with Fame: the BK King
Love him or hate him, everyone knows that cultural icon the BK King and who wouldn't want to head to head against him on Xbox Live? With the recent release of the Burger King series of Xbox 360 games, the King wants to challenge you to some online gaming, winners play for pride and maybe a Whopper or two. Also, NY Jets linebacker Jonathan Vilma will be playing online the same night. So, if you want to play against the BK King go to BKgamer.com and sign up for the Game With Fame session and cross your fingers.
