Engadget Review

The U310's design, keyboard and trackpad make it a tempting option at this price, but be prepared to make a few compromises around performance and portability.

The Lenovo IdeaPad U310 is an all-around decent ultrabook that's perfectly priced for back-to-school shoppers, but there are plenty of alternatives with nearly identically prices and features.

If you want a thin, stylish, small laptop and you don’t have a wad of cash to spend the U310 is an option you must check out. There is no competitor available today that provides more ultrabook for your dollar.

The Lenovo IdeaPad U310 is one of the best-looking Ultrabooks yet and backs its beauty up with a comfortable keyboard and snappy performance.

Computer Shopper
With a swell screen and keyboard, an ample 500GB hard drive (plus 32GB of solid-state cache), and a kicky color scheme, the IdeaPad U310 is an A-1 ultrabook for an affordable $799.

It would seem that the Lenovo IdeaPad U310 is a solid bet for the money: it's attractive (save for that glossy bezel), it offers a decent selection of ports and while the keyboard and trackpad aren't perfect, they still present an excellent alternative to what you'll find on many pricier machines.

PC World
Inexpensive and available in bright colors, the IdeaPad U310 will most likely appeal to college students.

TrustedReviews
The Lenovo IdeaPad U310 is far from an ideal Ultrabook, but in most cases it’s good enough. Taking its relatively affordable price into account, this makes it worth considering if you’re after a fairly stylish 13-inch ultraportable. However, its weight stretches the limits of what an Ultrabook ought to be about.

Compared to the laptops you'll find it next to in a PC shop, it may be that the fun looks are all that can make the Lenovo IdeaPad U310 stand out. It's not any worse than its low-priced Ultrabook peers, and the keyboard is good for those who want to do a lot of typing on a small machine.
