The IdeaPad Z400 Touch is a middle-of-the-road, uninspired laptop that doesn't do anything to distinguish itself from its competitors -- it will help get your basic day-to-day work done, but it certainly won't be your next image-editing machine. Wired says performance is "iffy" and that it "struggles to muddle through even basic video tasks." CNET deems its display merely "passable" because of its "washed-out and not very bright picture." For a 14-inch laptop, the Z400 Touch ends up being quite a device to lug around, with Laptop Magazine saying it "felt bulkier in our hands and bag than other systems in this weight range." At $700, Lenovo is asking a bit much for a laptop that doesn't offer much.
Given the style, comfort, and performance you get for the price, the Lenovo IdeaPad Z400 Touch is a good deal.
