Engadget Review

Forgiving the absence of a microSD slot and LTE radio, we commend the Moto G for its bright display, superb all-around performance and versatile camera despite a low megapixel count. At this price, it's a bargain.

My wife was resisting change but even she saw the benefits and bought the Moto G for $179 for the 16GB through Republic Wireless. She is currently on the $10 unlimited talk & Text, no data plan, but she is around WiFi and does not need it yet. She can switch plans up to twice a month with no fees. I have used it and it is a great smartphones. These make good smartphones for high school kids and college students also .She got it with a 30 day return policy to try it out.She used a referral link (http://rwshar.es/7Ovx) and got $20 off - that's two free months of service on the $10 dollar plan.We bought it with American Express which extended the warranty, peace of mind for 2 years.

Great phone. For the price—and even if it wasn't this cheap—I'd totally consider it. It's beautiful, runs fast even on 3G. I love this phone—especially as your first Android phone—it's perfect!

It's more stylish than usual, but Moto didn't skimp on the substance.
