Samsung continues to improve on their current lineup of cameras with the NX300, which not only has impressive image quality, but with its a new autofocus system, is also an incredibly fast shooter. PC Pro says the NX300 was able to lock "onto a subject in 0.08 seconds, with no discernible hunting in good light," and CNET UK agrees, saying "it was fast and responsive." But it isn't just the focus that makes the NX300 so fast, as Photography Blog says the "start-up time from turning the NX300 on to being ready to take a photo is impressively quick at less than a second." They were also impressed with the actual photos, saying the NX300 "delivers excellent still image quality," while Pocket-Lint thought "color reproduction was good" and "the level of grain was well controlled at all but the highest sensitivities." The NX300 also succeeds in providing good video quality, with PC Mag finding videos to be "extremely sharp, with accurate colors." Samsung also made sure to make the camera beginner-friendly, as Trusted Reviews states it's "an easy camera to use, too. The touchscreen menus are logical and clearly labelled." While it may come in at a higher price than our current Must-have, the Sony NEX-5R, the combination of speed, impressive imaging, and an easy-to-use menu system makes it a little easier to shell out the extra cash.
