Wet Hot American Summer always seemed like an odd property for Netflix to revive as a TV series. The original film starred a who's who of comedic talent like Amy Poehler, Janeane Garofalo and Paul Rudd as employees at a particularly demented summer camp. It wasn't a big hit at the time, but over the years it gained a pretty vocal cult following (if you've seen it, you know why). But now that we've got our first detailed look at the series in a new trailer, it makes complete sense for Netflix. The Wet Hot American Summer show looks just as weird and funny as the original, and it also packs in a ton of star power. Netflix managed to get the entire original cast back together, along with some new faces. That includes Bradley Cooper, who was nowhere near a superstar back in 2001, and Jon Hamm, solidifying himself as a comedic ninja.

After seven seasons (the last one stretched out as far as it will go), AMC's flagship series Mad Men is coming to an end this weekend. While some will say goodbye to Don Draper and the rest of the crew (Google Play put together a "fan experience" to help you look back), there's a slew of other finales hitting this week. Castle, Arrow, CSI: Cyber (well...), Elementary, Scandal and a number of others are wrapping up their seasons, so it's a good time to binge and catch up. The NBA and NHL playoffs are also cranking up the intensity, so sports fans will want to see which series go the full seven games. On Blu-ray, Wet Hot American Summer is arriving along with the original Battlestar Galactica series, while gamers can start playing Project Cars on consoles too. Look after the break to check out each day's highlights, including trailers and let us know what you think (or what we missed).

Even if you're slow-burning instead of binging on House of Cards, you'll still need a few backups once you're through with Frank & Claire Underwood's world domination tour. Netflix has revealed release dates for most of its summer (winter in Australia) programming, ready to keep you inside where the AC is cool and the WiFi signal is strong. Of course, you can also check out the spring shows here, and if you need something this week there's Aziz Ansari and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Sense8, its sci-fi collaboration with the Wachowskis will hit streaming on June 5th, a week before Orange is the New Black season three and a month before its Wet Hot American Summer revival arrives July 17th. Also worth keeping an eye out for are the Nina Simone documentary on June 26th, and Canadian sci-fi thriller Between coming at some point in May. Check for the full list after the break, and update your calendars accordingly.

Netflix's first shot at resurrecting a cult hit production wasn't exactly flawless. However, it's apparently not afraid to give this everything-old-is-new-again strategy another try. Both Deadline and the Hollywood Reporter claim that the streaming video service has started filming a follow-up to Wet Hot American Summer that would turn the 2001 camp comedy into an eight-episode limited series. Moreover, it'll reportedly include "virtually" all the original cast -- that means Amy Poehler, David Hyde Pierce, Molly Shannon and more. Netflix isn't confirming any plans, but the company's Ted Sarandos already hinted that the service is "really excited" about the possibility of a Wet Hot revival. Don't be surprised if you hear a lot more about this '80s nostalgia piece in the months ahead. Update (1/27): It's official! Netflix has confirmed the cast with a quick trailer (embedded after the break). Expect to see Elizabeth Banks, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper, Judah Friedlander, Janeane Garofalo, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, Christopher Meloni, Marguerite Moreau, Zak Orth, Amy Poehler, David Hyde Pierce, Paul Rudd, Molly Shannon, and Michael Showalter back in Camp Firewood when it airs "just in time for summer."
