Believe it or not, we decided to take a break in our marathon session of Grand Theft Auto IV to bring you a new edition of Ask X3F. Surprisingly, this edition has almost nothing to do with Grand Theft Auto IV at all, a seemingly impossible proposition this week. No, we spend most of our time jawing about game manuals, giveaway winner selection, Xbox Originals DRM, and the cost of current generation games. Best of all though, it gave us an excuse to shine some light on the Earthworm Jim manual, truly one of the most awesome manuals ever. Read the questions (and answers!) after the break. Oh, and send some questions while your at it. We're running low.Got a question for Ask X3F? Maybe you have a story or some information you'd like to share? Ask X3F, the recurring feature where we answer our readers' most pressing quandaries, returns once again with a shiny new installment. This week we cover HDTV calibration (as well as we can anyway), 360 hard drive data transferring, Rock Band covers versus master tracks, and we even do our best to spoil Fable 2 for everyone. We also dream of a world in which we could play all of our old Dreamcast games on our Xbox 360. If such a world existed, surely we would call it heaven. Read on for supreme edification.Got a question for Ask X3F? Maybe you have a story or some information you'd like to share? Send it all to ask [at] xbox360fanboy [dot] com.

Woo boy, we got a lotta Ask X3F questions this week. Sure, we answer questions about VGA cables, 360 hard drive security, and gamer pictures, but the prize winning question this week is definitely "What the hell happened to The City of Metronome?" If you've never heard of it, we suggest you get acquainted. Find a wealth of knowledge (and a smidgeon of reader berating) after the break.Got a question for Ask X3F? Wow. We asked for questions and you delivered. We are now supersaturated with questions, unable to absorb them all effectively. In other words, there is no way we could get to all the questions we've received. We're not complaining. In fact, that's the way we like it. This week we take a look at 360 media sharing, the search for the perfect HDTV, 360 repairs, and Guitar Hero effects pedals that never came to be. Oh yeah, and we also talk true love, ninjas, and celebrate the return of plush Weighted Companion Cubes. O fanboys that have come seeking knowledge, ye shall find it after the break.Got a question for Ask X3F? Maybe you have a story or some information you'd like to share? Okay fanboys, we're going to have to do better than this. We received exactly two questions for Ask X3F this week. Two!! How are we supposed to feel self-important and superior if we don't have questions to answer, hmmm? We can't, that's how! Grrrr. Anywho, this week we make some valuable game purchasing suggestions and crush the dreams of one gamer looking for some cross-platform action. Find our pitifully short Q&A after the break.Got a question for Ask X3F? Maybe you have a story or some information you'd like to share? Send it all to ask [at] xbox360fanboy [dot] com. After a one week hiatus, Ask X3F is back in all its glory. This week we talk video capturing, gamertag changing, Halo comics, HD DVDs, and potential uses for the 360 HD DVD player (other than coaster). • Ask X3F: Dustin hijacked this edition

Shhh, keep quiet guys. As you know, Richard is busy in San Francisco roaming the GDC show floor, making connections, doing his thing and being all busy n' stuff. So, I figured it would be the opportune time to take over one of his weekly features seeing that I'm not at GDC and don't have any responsibilities. And after a quick search, I found my target. Ask X3F has been officially hijacked this week, oh yeah!Normally, Richard is very helpful and considerate to fanboys who send in questions for the column. He will even sometimes spend hours trying to find answers to random 360 technical questions or shoot emails off to industry folks to get the scoop. But that's not how I roll. No, not today. My Ask X3F hijacking is going to be rude, crude and so very un-helpful (is that even a word?). Prepare for some no holds barred un-Ask X3F that's chock-full of "bleh?" and "wha?" moments. Just don't tell Richard about this. I still require his signature on my paycheck every month. And for when Richard returns: If you've got a question for Ask X3F, or if you simply have something to share, send it to: ask [at] xbox360fanboy [dawt] com.

Answering questions is strangely cathartic for us. It's hard to describe, but helping others with their problems and queries is quite fulfilling. It is with that in mind that we bring you another edition of Ask X3F, the community powered feature where we solve quandaries with a quickness. This week we discuss HDMI troubles, Microsoft advertising, and paradigm shifts. Oh, and we also shed some light on why it takes so damned long to recover gamertags on other consoles. Find the answers you seek (and feel free to give some of your own) after the break. If you've got a question for Ask X3F, or if you simply have something to share, send it to: ask [at] xbox360fanboy [dawt] com.

At a recent Xbox 360 Fanboy meeting, we were all sitting around wondering how we could come up with a recurring feature that would require the least amount of effort best help the community. After an intense one minute brainstorming session (Dustin popped a blood vessel in his eye), we came up with Ask X3F. As its name implies, we will use this space to answer the community's burning queries. If you have an Xbox related question, we want it. Don't think that these questions have to be technical questions (they're certainly okay, though). If you'd like our opinion on a certain matter, or if you'd like to share your own opinion, feel free. Maybe you just wanted to let us know that you created an awesome map for Halo 3. Whatever you want us to talk about, send it our way.Send all your questions, comments, complaints, and rants to: Ask [at] xbox360fanboy [dawt] com. We'll post and reply to the best emails every Tuesday (we might even read some on the Fancast]. So, get crackin' fanboys.
