  • Deal of the Day: Time Crisis 4 for $60

Supposedly, amazon.com had a magical sale where they offered Time Crisis 4 (with Guncon) for $50. We missed out on that limited time only offer -- but the game is still seriously discounted. Now only $60, Time Crisis 4 costs the same as any other game out there. We like collecting peripherals, so we already have a copy. But, should the rapidly dropping price on this game suggest it's not doing as well as Namco Bandai had hoped?[Thanks, danny!]

    12.10.2007

SOCOM: Tactical Strike isn't for everybody. For example, it's not for people who don't like to think. If good graphics terrify you, then you'd best shy away. If tactical thinking in military situations has you pissing your pants, then we recommend getting a Bratz game instead. However, for everyone else -- Tactical Strike is a winner. Of course, you can try the downloadable demo to find out for yourself. For those of you ready to take the plunge into the full game, check out this week's Best Buy circulars. You'll see that Tactical Strike is on sale this week for a measly $20. Go to your local Best Buy, or simply buy online.[Via CAG]

    12.05.2007

amazon.com is having a sale on PS3 games, with many previous Deals of the Day making a return. Here are some highlights: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion ($19.99) F.E.A.R. ($44.99) Juiced 2: Hot Import Nights ($44.99) Lair ($39.99) Sega Rally Revo ($39.99) Stranglehold ($44.99) The Bigs ($24.99) The Darkness ($34.99) The Eye of Judgment ($54.99) Time Crisis 4 ($69.99) Splinter Cell: Double Agent ($34.99) Obviously, Eye of Judgment is the best deal on the list, as it includes the Eye peripheral. However, both Oblivion and The Bigs are both great games as well -- and they're at last-gen prices. Those waiting for Time Crisis 4 may not find a better deal than this one for a while (yes, the game really is that expensive!). Maybe these will end up as a few stocking stuffers?[Via CAG]

    12.04.2007

This is the cheapest 4GB Memory Stick we've ever seen. The SanDisk 4GB Stick is an unadvertised special that's only available at brick and mortar Circuit City stores (no online shopping, sorry!). Item #SDK SDMSG4096A50 is what you'll be looking for. MXPowar from CAG gives some shopping advice for this rather lucrative deal: "In case, you are afraid of this being out of stock when you get there, I just tried this and it works, Buy it here, then choose in-store pickup and your credit card will be refunded about ~$41. A CC representative just called me about this so it is confirmed."Good luck, shoppers.Update: Unfortunately, it looks like the deal is dead. Guess it was a glitch that was corrected -- maybe we publicized this deal too much?

Best Buy is offering the Collector's Edition of Stranglehold for $20 less than its MSRP. At $50, you get a decent (but not great) game, and a decent (but not great) transfer of a terrific movie. The inclusion of Hard Boiled makes this a must for any John Woo fan, and the discounted price certainly makes it easier to swallow.[Via CAG][Update: amazon.com is price matching Best Buy.]

Some deals are good, and sometimes they get even better; like the one going on right now at Frys.com that gets you a free copy of Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles with the purchase of a Star Wars PSP.Earler last month, you could get both for $185 at Frys, saving $15 overall, but this deal nets you a $30 savings. Both titles have received favorable reviews with Nick giving Castlevania an 8.5 and Andrew rating Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron a 7.5. If you're like me and haven't jumped at the opportunity to pick up a PSP-2000 yet, this is the best deal so far. [Via CAG]

Really? Two PS3 controllers for only $29? What a deal!Wait ... but they look like these monstrosities. Sure, you could take advantage of this deal, but what will your friends say when they come over to your home? Remember this: most of you have spent $600 on a machine that was built to look sexy. Let's not ruin it with some cheap looking peripherals, okay? For the cheap and foolish: Available in red. And blue.[Via CAG]

  • Deal of the Day: Time Crisis 4 for $80

    by
    Andrew Yoon
    Andrew Yoon
    10.25.2007

How can an $80 game ever be a deal? Well, when it includes the Guncon 3. Namco Bandai's upcoming Time Crisis 4 is a pricey purchase thanks to the bundled peripheral. However, it promises to be the most advanced light gun on the market. Hopefully, we'll see other games support the Guncon -- it would be a total waste to just make a single game for it. The PSN is a perfect place for Namco Bandai (or any other publisher) to release small new light gun games. (Of course, we hope Sega realizes how perfect it would be to bring Let's Go Jungle! to the system ... )Amazon.com is offering the game and gun peripheral for $80. Yes, it's a bit much, but it's probably the cheapest pre-order you'll find right now.[Via CAG]
