'Disintegration' developer V1 Interactive is shutting down
V1 Interactive, the indie studio behind the sci-fi tactical shooter Disintegration, has announced that it's officially shutting down less than a year after the game was released.

'Disintegration' public multiplayer beta starts January 31st
You won't have to wait long to see if Halo veteran Marcus Lehto's Disintegration lives up to the early buzz. V1 Interactive and its publisher Private Division have revealed that a public beta of the tactical shooter will run between January 31st and February 1st on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. There will also be closed beta tests on January 28th and 29th between 11AM and 3AM Eastern each day. In both cases, you'll have access to two of the three multiplayer modes as well as seven playable teams.
‘Disintegration’ is a tactical shooter that questions transhumanism
At a glance, Disintegration looks a tad generic. The battle-ready robots, dressed in fashionable jackets and scarves, feel like they were ripped straight out of a Destiny artbook. And there's a reason for that -- the game is being developed by Halo co-creator Marcus Lehto and his indie studio V1 Interactive. Don't be fooled by the overly-familiar character designs, though. Disintegration has a world and technological fiction that is intriguing and different from the vast majority of science fiction shooters, including those that Lehto worked on during his long career at Bungie.
