September is shaping up to be a bumper month for PlayStation Plus members, as they can get their hands on Destiny 2 for free. It's the type of big-name recent release that Sony doesn't often include in its monthly PS Plus giveaways, and while most of the games in the latest batch will be available from September 4th, you can grab Destiny 2 as a freebie right now.

Sony's game-streaming service, PlayStation Now, is getting a huge boost today thanks to the addition of 20 PS4 titles. The company announced that, for the first time, subscribers can use its offering to play games like God of War III Remastered, Killzone Shadow Fall, Saints Row IV: Re-Elected, Resogun, Ultimate Street Fighter IV and WWE 2K16, to mention a few. With the newly included PlayStation 4 games, Sony's PS Now digital library has reached more than 500 total. That means if you have a PS4 or Windows PC, now may be a good time to sign up for that seven-day trial and see if the service is worth it.

  • What's on your HDTV: 'Ex Machina', 'Bojack Horseman', 'God of War III'

This week it's discs vs. streaming, as the summer TV schedule is in full swing. On Blu-ray the sci-fi thriller Ex Machina arrives (as the first release with DTS:X surround sound), along with It Follows and The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. For gamers, Rory McIlroy's golf sim arrives, but the big highlight is God of War III Remastered on the PS4. Netflix follows up Chris Tucker's comedy special last week with a feature on Tig Notaro, and the premiere of Bojack Horseman season two. Geeks Who Drink and Reactor premiere on Syfy, Mythbusters is back on Discovery and FX has the return of Married plus a new show Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll starring Denis Leary. If you insist on sportsing, there's the MLB All-Star game on Fox while NBC has all the major racing series, and the surprisingly-controversial Espy Awards are Wednesday night. Look after the break to check out each day's highlights, including trailers and let us know what you think (or what we missed).

  • 'God of War III' is the latest big game to get a PS4 makeover

Yes, developers are still rehashing popular last-generation games in an attempt to pad out a thin current-gen catalog -- meet God of War III Remastered, a PlayStation 4 overhaul of the classic deity-slaying PS3 title. Sony Santa Monica isn't being too specific about what's new, but it's promising prettier, "silky smooth" 1080p brawling (here's hoping that means 60 frames per second) and a new photo mode that lets you capture vicious kills or scenic vistas. The PS4 refresh arrives on July 14th in the US, and July 17th in the UK. It won't make up for the Uncharted 4 delay, but it'll give you something fun (if not strictly new) to play during the usual summer game drought.

  • God of War III confirmed on Chains of Olympus manual

We know that most of you haven't read an instruction manual since the days of Gyromite -- not that we can judge you. Aside from the occasional steamy Sonic the Hedgehog fanfiction, we try to avoid video game literature as well. Lucky for us, IGN recently cracked the narrow spine of the God of War: Chains of Olympus instruction manual and discovered this treat on the back cover -- an advertisement for a new God of War game for the PS3, presumably the third chapter in the series. While the series' tremendous sales success and God of War II's cliffhanger ending didn't leave much room for doubt that the threequel was on it's way, we didn't think we'd be hearing from our good pal Kratos so "soon" after the release of Chains. Ah, well; no rest for the familicidal, as they say.

  • God of War 3 has not begun production, other games take precedence

It seems the director of God of War II, Cory Barlog, wants to pay attention to other projects before the much-anticipated God of War III makes any sort of debut. On his blog, he talks about a lot of things, but he mentions how he's not paying attention to the trilogy and instead is working on his very own RPG opus -- A Family Ties game. Or something. So for those of you who were expecting some kind of surprise at E3 or Tokyo Game Show, we hate to be the bearers of bad news, but you'll be waiting a while to see Kratos and the Titans crushing the crap out of Olympus. Unless Sony pulls a Kojima and replaces Kratos with a different, less gruff and manly character. Possibly a Roman who likes to comb his hair and do cartwheels. That would be most unfortunate! We don't need another Raiden. Or ... do we?[via CVG]

  • David Jaffe admits drunkenly that his PSP game sucked

David Jaffe **BLEEP**ing talked to GameTrailers.com in the Playboy Mansion about developing on the PLAYSTATION 3 and PSP. He reveals that he'd love to make God of War III on the PLAYSTATION 3, if given the chance. He also makes note of the mistakes he's made. Firstly, he states that God of War's battle system is not as good as Devil May Cry's (agreed). And he also admits that his canceled PSP project, "Project HL," was really axed not because of the PS3, but because it wasn't progressing very well:"I just **BLEEP**ed up my game on the PSP, it wasn't any good! That's true! There wasn't a **BLEEP** rumor!"The full video interview is available, after the break. Obviously, if you didn't **BLEEP**ing notice, it features some profanity.[Via Joystiq]
