Ken Bone became an internet sensation literally overnight following last Sunday's presidential debate, and as such he's been making the media rounds in a big way (and trying to cash in on his celebrity). Doing the Reddit AMA is a big part of the cycle for internet celebrities -- but Bone made the epic mistake of not realizing that your internet past follows you everywhere you go. He's under a major microscope right now, and he made the huge mistake of doing that Reddit AMA under the same Reddit profile he's been using for several years. That turned up some quotes from our red sweater hero that make him look... a little less appealing.

Ken Bone's overnight fame looks to have already soured. As VICE reports, Bone's tweet for the UBERSelect service in St. Louis, where last Sunday's presidential debate was held, did not include any indication that the message was sponsored. This is a big no-no with the Federal Trade Commission -- just ask Kim Kardashian.

There's something magical about an inside joke. A good inside joke reminds friends that no matter what happens, you'll always have that moment when you were completely in sync, united by laughter and happy tears. Memes, meanwhile, are inside jokes on a massive scale. Memes remind the people involved of happier times, when an entire country or group of disparate people shared a moment of levity, something to laugh about, something adorable to bond over. Throughout the cutthroat 2016 presidential election, citizens of the United States have been in dire need of a uniting force. And, during last night's second presidential debate, the people found their common ground in an affable, red-sweatered meme named Ken Bone.
