What is Super Smash Bros.? It is Nintendo at its most referential, its most detail-oriented. We already said all this once before, actually. Right here. Anyway, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (that's seriously the full title) has finally arrived on Nintendo's home console. You can play it right now! So that's just what we're going to do. Today! For about two hours! The stream starts at 2PM ET/11AM PT sharp, and can be found below. Follow Engadget on Twitch to be notified when we go live!

Who doesn't like fighting dragons? That's a serious question. If you excitedly answered "I do!" then this edition of Playdate is just for you. Today we're going to be streaming the first big role-playing game of this new set of consoles, and it's none other than Dragon Age: Inquisition from the folks at BioWare. You know, the studio behind the Mass Effect series and Baldur's Gate. It's a sort of choose-your-own adventure affair in a mature medieval world where decisions made in previous games affect how the story plays out in this third entry. It's also the first RPG running on publisher Electronic Arts' extremely impressive (and apparently pretty versatile) Frostbite toolset that's perhaps best known for powering the Battlefield franchise. And if you're wondering how it all looks, you've come to the right place. We'll be streaming gameplay from the PlayStation 4 starting at 7 p.m. Eastern / 4 p.m. Pacific on this very page.

Sony's PlayStation 4 may be off to a heady start in terms of sales, but the console's exclusive content this holiday is on the light side. Driveclub, which was plagued by connectivity issues, makes up 50 percent of the PlayStation 4's exclusive lineup this holiday. The other 50 percent is thankfully adorable and, as of yesterday, critically-acclaimed: LittleBigPlanet 3. This year's LBP is the first major console release not created by the team of Brits behind the first two (Media Molecule); rather, it was created by another team of Brits at Sumo Digital. We're taking a wild guess that LBP 3 retains the cheeky British humor from the first two games, but we're also checking for good measure with a stream just below the break. Join us at 2PM ET and we'll find out together!

The Far Cry series has long held a reputation as the thinking man's shooter, sidestepping the traditional run-and-gun play of a Halo or Call of Duty and offering freedom to approach a scenario from a few different avenues. After the debut game, the narrative became more ambitious, too, asking the player oft uncomfortable questions over the course of each campaign -- with 2008's Far Cry 2 standing out in particular. That brings us to Far Cry 4's wildly new open-world setting that replaces series-typical jungles with the Himalayas, and trades Far Cry 3's psychopath antagonist for the purple-loving despot pictured above, Pagan Min. Given the troubles with Assassin's Creed Unity, however, you might be curious how publisher Ubisoft's other big game of the season fares. Well, come back here at 7 p.m. Eastern / 4 p.m. Pacific and find out as we livestream the game on PlayStation 4 and try to ride a few elephants in the process.

Grand Theft Auto V was clearly bound for current game consoles, regardless of its late-generation appearance on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The world of Los Santos is even more gorgeous in the latest iteration, and it comes with a mess of additions: new missions, new music, and even a new way to interact with the world (first-person mode). You've seen trailers and you read the reviews a full year ago -- what does it look like in action? We're here to answer that with a livestream for you just below.

You'd think that ten years after Halo 2 launched, Master Chief saying, "I need a weapon" would have less of an impact. I thought that, anyway, and I was wrong. Like, super, super wrong. In Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Microsoft's Halo studio (343 Industries) has made a decade-old game shockingly relevant once again. Halo 2 "Anniversary" (as it's known) is gorgeous, it sounds dramatically better, and the cutscenes are completely re-made by the CGI masters at Blur Studio. But let's not kid ourselves -- unless you're a hardcore Halo dork (like me), you're here for the wealth of online multiplayer, right? Follow us below for a stream of both Master Chief Collection's campaigns and all that multiplayer.

Who doesn't like climbing gorgeous buildings in historic time periods and then leaping from said buildings? Suckers, that's who. Oh, and maybe people who've yet to experience an Assassin's Creed game, now in its seventh iteration with this year's model: Assassin's Creed Unity. Beyond the now usual changes (a new locale, a new main character), ACU adds co-op gameplay, a dedicated stealth button and it's built with current-gen in mind -- ACU is only playable on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, while Assassin's Creed Rogue was created specifically for last-gen game consoles. The game's gotten some rocky reviews thus far, but we're longtime series fans and want to show you Paris through the eyes of an assassin. Join us below for a day in the life of Assassin's Creed Unity main character Arno Dorian, and bring your sharpest assassin blade just in case.

It's a series that's become as staid and expected as the turning of the seasons, and is consistently a "safe" bet if you're looking for a few hours of mindless fun in a tightly-scripted shooting gallery masked as an interactive narrative. Does it carry over to freshman studio Sledgehammer Games' turn at the franchise with Advanced Warfare?

We've been singing Sunset Overdrive's praises for awhile now and it's finally time that the rest of the world gets a chance to play it. The Xbox One exclusive isn't just a killer game, but it's one of the stand-out releases in this year's crowded holiday launch season. What makes it so awesome? Well, for starters it places pure fun over everything else, and coming from the folks responsible for the excellent Ratchet and Clank series for PlayStation hardware it really shouldn't be a surprise. Sunset City is where you're free to dress up exactly how you want (my character is rocking an orange-and-blue pompadour and a pair of underwear with a stuffed kangaroo head dangling off the front; seriously) and shoot ridiculous weapons at former humans while grinding around on power-lines and bouncing off of cars. Never before have we seen vinyl records used to mow down cartoonish mutants, but hopefully it happens a lot more in the future.

The developers at Harmonix Music Systems know a thing or two about music. And we'd hope so, it is in the company name, after all. The studio's latest Kinect game, Fantasia: Music Evolved, is quite a bit different than anything they've done previously, though: it puts players under Mickey's wizard cap from the classic animated movie of the same name and has them remixing pop songs and classical tracks from the likes of Beethoven and Dvorak with rhythmic gesture controls. Sounds pretty neat on paper, right? But, it's natural to be skeptical of the title considering the general hit-or-miss nature of Microsoft's motion sensor. Well, you can come back here at 7 p.m. Eastern / 4 p.m. Pacific and see for yourself as we broadcast live gameplay from the Xbox One. We even have a download code to give away during the stream, too!

Nintendo's big exclusive game for its Wii U home console is Bayonetta 2. It was Nintendo's big coup announcement ahead of the Wii U's launch. Bayonetta's notable not just for being good -- the first game is critically-acclaimed -- but also for being made by a developer other than Nintendo. And hey, it's October, so that means games are being released into the wild. Among them is Platinum Games' Bayonetta 2, featuring the stylishly appointed, combat-ready Rapunzel-alike you see above. The series is known for its over-the-top, goofy-yet-calculated style, and we're gonna put the latest one through its paces in a stream for you just below starting at 4PM ET.
