Never mind that Bron Bron and company got handled today when facing the Celtics -- the NBA's biggest star (yeah, we said it) made a pit stop at Major League Baseball's 2010 season opener tonight in order to plug Dr. Dre's (grossly overpriced) new cans, sport a Louis Vuitton zip-up and not care one single bit about a nearby iPad. During a shot up to a luxury box at tonight's Yankees vs. Red Sox matchup, LeBron was seen glancing in the direction of an iPad that was actually being shown off to someone else, but rather than drooling over Jobs' latest magic trick, he casually withdrew and returned to his conversation with Dre. Screen Grabs: Blackberry Storm saves the world in new Doctor Who

While the US was busy delivering a certain tablet product yesterday, British sci-fi fans sat comfortably at home for a brand new Doctor Who series. We won't go into too much detail here, but the eleventh Doctor -- played by the charming Matt Smith -- was spotted writing a computer virus and sending pictures on a BBC-debranded Blackberry Storm, minutes before the aliens were to incinerate Planet Earth. Perhaps the freshly-regenerated Time Lord's a fan of the virtual keyboard? As a bonus, the Doctor also borrowed a disguised 15-inch Acer Aspire laptop for some virtual face time with chief brainiacs around the world, and then promptly reminded the owner to "delete your internet history" in reference to, well, something more disturbing that he found on the computer. And who are we to question the orders of a time traveler? Update: Turns out the new Lead Writer Steven Moffat learned of his job offer on a Blackberry back in June 2008. Too bad the Storm wasn't due out for another five months, but a quick trip through the time vortex could turn this into an amusing coincidence.%Gallery-89694%

Oh, Jenny Humphrey -- will you ever learn? It's not at all smart to sneak out at night wearing a seductive outfit, only to find your way into a club, get drugged and open yourself up to all sorts of regrettable mischief. Thankfully, Gossip Girl's own Nathaniel Fitzwilliam Archibald is an experienced Droid owner, and he's also in the business of saving damsels in distress. Having Google Latitude just a click away sure is convenient, but having this particular gal's phone number just a Tommy Tutone jam away doesn't hurt, either. While the majority of the world is busy forgetting all about ABC's FlashForward, that conniving Simon Campos has been busying forgetting which end is up on a modern day hard drive. Utilizing one of those all-too-useful SATA HDD docks on the latest episode, he proceeds to jam his hard drive into the dock upside-down, though a later shot of the device shows that some producer went in and made things right while the cast was off munching on hors d'œuvres. Project Natal makes a Smallville cameo, does not guarantee ability to fly*
We didn't get any more details about Microsoft's Project Natal add-on for Xbox 360 from the X10 event, but tonight Smallville viewers got to watch someone else whipping their arms and legs around trying to catch imaginary balls flying out of their TV screen. Short of some actual time gesticulating wildly in front of that motion sensing cam this is the closest thing we've got to actually using it, but as the clip (embedded after the break) shows, girls are likely to be more impressed by someone that can fly. %Gallery-85394%

Granted, we can't actually see that any work is being done (the default blue wallpaper isn't exactly telling), but when you've got Amy Meredith Poehler running the grandiose city town of Pawnee, Indiana, you can only expect so much. The recently loosed Instinct HD was recently spotted handling all sorts of detective word on this week's episode of NCIS: Los Angeles, with the famed HD movie mode showing itself on a number of occasions. The super sleek ultraportable managed to show its face on this week's episode, and for any of you out there who doubt a glossy screen's ability to double as a mirror, we'd say this primetime showing proves otherwise. The best show to ever land on HBO has certainly seen its fair share of hot technology, from last week's Ferrari-fest (with a notable 'holla' to Porsche) to this week's love affair with Aliph's Jawbone. As you can see in the Screen Grab above, Johnny Drama couldn't help but sport the all-black Bluetooth earpiece to match his ebony jacket and equally dark motorcar whilst jabbering to Turtle. Nah, it's not the Jawbone Prime, but we wouldn't put it past Sloan to tease E (again) over one here in the not-too-distant future. Now, if only Marky Mark could convince the suits at Time Warner to allocate an hour per episode to this masterpiece, we'd really be in heaven...[Thanks, SmoothMarx]

If you're unfamiliar with either Showtime's series Weeds or HBO's True Blood, we'll catch you up to speed really quickly. The former is about a widowed housewife living in California who sells stolen gadgets to make ends meet for her family, while the latter is a Southern-fried tale of a Louisiana town infested with vampires plus a cute young woman who can see the future, and uses her power to predict Nokia's product roadmap for 2010. No? Well, that's what we thought we saw. We'll tell you this much: we definitely spotted the G1 in both shows this week. Yes, in Weeds Andy took a call from Nancy, and boom! Yeah, an N97. It also makes a curtain-call appearance in the 2:48 realm, right before the blingee pregnancy test announces that Robyn is not, in fact, with child. Oop, looks like whoever was in charge of product placement coordination at Acer forgot to double-check Lil' Kim's new video for "Download" -- is that iChat and an iPhone sneaking in there? Regardless, most of the primary action between Kimmy, T-Pain and Charlie Wilson seems to be going down on an Acer Aspire One, and there's a prominent shot of the Acer M900 smartphone at the beginning. Of course, if she was really Steve Jobs, that turtleneck would've fired three writers on the spot and introduced the Tracey Jordan Nano. Yet again, the tech-savvy bunch producing NBC's Life has managed to incorporate a relatively fresh piece of technology into the storyline. For those still waiting to check the season finale on DVR, you may want to skip ahead, but for those who either a) already watched or b) don't ever care to watch, here's the skinny. Roman Nevikov, Charlie's arch enemy, appeared to be tracking his every move on Palm's Treo Pro (minus the branding). 'Course, he also considered using it as a weapon upside Reese's skull, but thankfully no LCDs or QWERTY keyboards were harmed during filming. So sad he'll never get to upgrade to a Pre, ya know?
