Are we wrong to sometimes wake up in the dark of night, cold sweat gathered upon our brow, screaming out for Phoenix Wright to save us? No, of course not, such an obsession is clearly healthy. So it's only natural we would want to dress ourselves in garb that loudly proclaims that we want you to hold it, because clearly something is contradictory in your statement. If you're as obsessed as we are, then you're already at the comment screen, furiously typing away to tell us that we already posted about the Hold it! shirt. To that, we present two other shirts, one for the ladies and one for the guys, which boldly proclaim to anyone staring at your chest that you object to such ogling. We've already ordered about 12 of each style of shirt, but for any of you fine readers out there considering purchasing for the first time or already in ownership of one of the kickass shirts, why not take a picture and send it in? We'll build a perverted shrine post them and perhaps make up a story about your super-hero origins.Read - Men's Objection! T-shirtRead - Women's Objection! T-shirtRead - Men's Hold it! • Send us a good gaming tip, we'll send you a Joystiq tee [update 1]

This post is just a quick reminder that we're giving out a Joystiq t-shirt to the best tip we receive this week. We mentioned this mini competition in our recent post about rejected tips, but you may have missed the bit where we promised to reward one lucky tipster with an orange Joystiq t-shirt, as worn by Peter, Perrin, Shane, and Miyamoto-san.Anybody from a developer with some top-secret screenshots, somebody with a really cool forum post (see: crazy Wii guy), or even a sneaky employee of a game retailer willing to share shots of an unreleased console has the potential to win a Joystiq tee, so get tipping!UPDATE: By good tips, we meant good tips to stories, not the Konami code, or how to beat Goldeneye with both arms tied behind your back and a blindfold over your eyes. Thank you!

  • Pirate Baby t-shirt re-ignites our love affair

As a service to readers of this blog, we're going to begin reminding you to watch Paul Robertson's frekinetic (yup, just made that word right up) Pirate Baby's Cabana Battle Street Fight 2006 daily. Every morning, you'll get a nice, friendly reminder to watch it NOW and bask in its glee-filled depravity. Not a good idea? Alright, we'll settle for wearing this awesome t-shirt. Sure, they're a little pricey -- alright, they're really pricey -- but you'll be part of an elite club of savvy benefactors. If you have no idea what I'm talking about (poor, poor fool) then check out the embedded video after the break ... but I warn you! You'll hunger for the video game counterpart daily. You'll question your faith, stop eating properly, scribble drawings on your walls, and wear this t-shirt, waiting for this little Pinocchio of an animation to become a real boy.

  • Who's got a Joystiq T-shirt?

Our limited-edition Joystiq T-shirts are rolling out to our biggest (and speediest) fans right now. Then there's our not as limited-edition Joystiq E3 shirts that we were giving out at the show. Did you grab enough business cards from Joystiqers on the show floor, like the Joystiq luchador did? Did you make it to the AOL booth during our short, one-hour handout? Or were you gracious enough to grant Joystiq an interview, like Peter, Perrin, Shane, and Miyamoto-san? If you're sporting a Joystiq tee, let us know what you think. Didn't get one? We'll be giving away the orange shirts on the site so keep your eyes peeled. And if you see somebody sporting one on the street, stop 'em and say hi. They're either Joystiq readers or one of us.Big thanks to Philip and Yann for the incredible designs. Seriously, we're humbled.

  • Widget Watch: destroy your productivity with the Threadless Vote widget

I have to admit: I'm a nut for Threadless. The t-shirt design submissions that actually go to print after voting can certainly be hit or miss sometimes, but they crank out enough to keep me coming back for more. As if combing their site for new threads isn't enough of a time-waster, someone decided to curse my productivity by creating a Threadless Vote widget that allows you to browse and rate submissions. You need to have a free account already created with Threadless, but after that minor step, you can go nuts with tossing in your two cents on which designs make it into their catalog.

  • Hollywood Video manager rages against Sony's machine

Retail store managers (Gamestop, Blockbuster, etc,) tend to get a bad rap at E3 due to their general lack of purpose and grating tendency to smugly report their exploits to folks on the other side of the counter back home. However, Hollywood Video Manager Chris, who dispenses late fee justice in Orange County, has added some real meaning to his show floor wandering by wearing a one-off t-shirt: Just Say No to the $599.99 and $499.99 PS3 price points. Rage against Sony's machine, Chris! Looks like the Microsoft partisans at GamerScoreBlog ran into the same dude.

Peter got one (it'll show off those tattooed pipes right nicely). Now you can get one too, if you stop by the AOL booth at E3's West Hall today between 11 AM PDT and 12 PM PDT. We will only be handing these shirts out for one hour or until supplies last (whichever is shorter). Please keep this our little secret, as we want this to be a reward for Joystiq readers, not any old random schwag hunter.

  • Apple Store FlatIron Crossing Grand Opening report

I have emerged victorious from my first ever Apple Store grand opening, and I have to say: it was pretty cool. There was one heck of a line that ran far outside the closest mall entrance, and it was really cool to see people from all walks of life, including Dan Lurie from The Apple Blog and Jeff Gamet from The Mac Observer. My friend and I arrived around 8:15 am, and we were about 20th in line, though it picked up momentum shortly thereafter.I've posted a photo set from the event to our TUAW Flickr account, so check those out if you want more proof of how crazy Apple fans can get for a Saturday morning grand opening. One minor complaint: I wish Apple would stop using "geek black" on their event shirts like the ones they handed out today. Aside from that, it was fun to get my Mac-geek on for the day, even if I couldn't afford to actually buy anything.

  • Pre-order the official Joystiq 2006 T-shirt [update 12]

    04.25.2006

You can now order the official 2006 Joystiq t-shirt direct from us. Order while they're hot, because we're only printing up 200. (Why so few? Well, for one, fewer shirts makes 'em more valuable. For another, I don't want to have to explain to my wife why I've got a multi-thousand-dollar credit card bill and two closets full of identical shirts.) SOLD OUT [as of update 12] Congrats to everyone that scored one of the 200 shirts. We expect to begin shipping shirts the week after E3. Shirts are $14.00. Domestic shipping within the 50 United States is $5.00 per shirt. Shipping outside of the United States is $10.00 per shirt. We realize those prices are hefty, but we've set them high to avoid getting eaten alive. All money in excess of cost will be donated to a game-friendly charity such as Child's Play. This is not a profit-making venture for us, but a service to loyal readers. Small print: we have the right to reject any order (if we stock out or if shipping costs to you are too high, or if your ship-to information is unclear). All sales are final (no returns). We cannot take responsibility for injuries related to boosts in sex appeal that come from wearing this rad shirt.
