Just an informative reminder to our Forza Motorsport 2 racing fanboys (though, we doubt one is really needed), the March Car Pack is available for download off the Xbox Live Marketplace right this very moment. As you probably know, The March Car Pack costs a medium 400 Microsoft points and includes thirteen new cars for your racing pleasure. And since we know how much Forza 2 fanboys love their vehicles, we've added new car pack photos into their own gallery below for you to gush over. Thank us later. If you have an extra 400 points laying around, we advise supporting Turn 10 and all the hard work they've put into Forza 2 and its abundant DLC. Happy downloading race fans!%Gallery-18568%

Turn 10 has been busy as a beaver as of late, releasing new vehicle packs and new racetracks for Forza Motorsport 2 over the past few months. And, lucky for us, March will be one of those grand Forza 2 DLC months with the announcement of the upcoming March Car Pack.Odd thing about this new March Car Pack is that we have yet to hear the announcement come from Turn 10 or Microsoft's mouths, as we learned of its existence from an exclusive DLC trailer (embedded above) that was released last night. So that means we don't have too many details pertaining to its cost or what's exactly included in the pack, though fans in the Forza 2 forums pretty much nailed down which new vehicles the DLC will offer. What we do know is that the Forza 2 March Car Pack will come packed with brand new rides and be released next Wednesday, March 19th. So hold tight, plant your feet firmly on the ground and hope that Turn 10 is generous in their pricing (ahem, free?)

With Forza Motorsport 2's upcoming downloadable content headed our way this Friday, Turn 10 has just released a new trailer to build upon the anticipation. The trailer features some of the new cars that'll be available in Friday's release of the December Car Pack and Road America DLC. We're still waiting on a complete list cars that outlines what will be included in the Car Pack and still are in the dark about Road America, so you'll have to be detective-like and gather as much information as you can from the trailer. Enjoy the teaser now and know that tomorrow all Forza 2 DLC details will be revealed.[Via Turn 10 Blog, Thanks Shortt Sirket]

In the latest Pit Pass report, developer Turn 10 revealed that this Friday, December 7th they'll be releasing a new set of Forza Motorsport 2 downloadable content. They're keeping quiet about specifics, but we do know that the new DLC will feature eleven new cars and one race track that's a remake of an old Forza favorite (and it's not Fujimi Kaido). All in all, you'll be able to grab the new cars for 400 Microsoft points, the track at 100 points or both for 500 points (addition FTW!) Turn 10 promises more DLC details sometime midweek ... so start waiting.

We mentioned the new content a few days back and again last night, but we think it deserves another post today seeing that it just hit the Marketplace this morning (super justified). The newly price reduced Forza Motorsport 2 Fontegi Track Pack featuring Japan's famous Twin Ring Motegi race track is available for download at a 400 Microsoft point price. The new track includes four separate racing routes (including three off road and one highway) and is available to all Xbox Live regions. If you have Forza 2 and were contemplating purchasing the new track, then we think you should back Turn 10 and not feel guilty about shelling out 400 points. They are what we call "good peeps".

We always knew the developers over at Turn 10 were awesome folks, but we never knew they were this awesome. After announcing tomorrow's release of a new 600 Microsoft point downloadable Twin Ring Motegi race track for Forza Motorsport 2, Turn 10 has since changed their mind and is dropping the price before the content even becomes available. Posting on the official Forza 2 forums, community manager chespace mentioned the price change and says that he was able to convince the marketing folks to drop the price to 400 points due to the Forza 2 community's feedback. Can you believe it? A developer actually listening to their community and lowering content price before it gets released. Mad props to you Turn 10 and now we can't help but recommend tomorrow's new 400 Microsoft point DLC. High five guys, high five.[Thanks, to everyone who sent this in]

Update: Gamespot revealed that the new track is Twin Ring Motegi and will cost a painful 600 Microsoft points (ouch!). Screenshots, Q&A and video available here.Mentioned in their latest Pitpass Report, developer Turn 10 confirmed that this Friday, October 26th a new Forza Motorsport 2 race track will be ready for download off of the XBLM (pending any Microsoft cert delays). We believe that the new track will be free, but not much is known about it as no name or screenshots have release. But Turn 10 did hint that today one lucky website will be exclusively revealing all the track's details. So, we'll keep one eye on the web, one eye on the Marketplace and a third borrowed eye on the road, because we have new DLC coming to Forza 2.[Thanks, Tony]

Forza fans finally have something to be excited about. After tooling around for months with the same ol' boring cars, Microsoft has announced new downloadable content for Forza Motorsport 2. Technically, there are two bits of DLC, including one free car and an additional pack of ten cars for 400 MS Points. The free car is the 2007 SEAT Leon Cupra. The pay content includes cars from all over the spectrum, including American muscle, European sports, and Japanese tuners. While no specific date is given, the content should be on Xbox Live Marketplace sometime this weekend. See the full list of new cars after the break.

  • 'Heil Hitler' car auctioned in Forza 2, exposes kink in user-generated gaming

Microsoft and Turn 10 might be determined to seek and destroy acts of hatred and discrimination plastered on Xbox Live, but the publisher and developer of Forza 2 couldn't act fast enough to prevent a 1957 Mercedes 300SL, defaced by pro-Nazi symbols and sentiments, from being offered through the game's online auction mode. 360-gamer recently pointed to the unsettling item, criticizing the moderators for their inability to keep this kind of content off of the Xbox Live servers; or at least promptly remove it (apparently the car's been Live for a while).Whether adolescent mischief or true delusion, a small percentage of user-generated content is always going to incite "discrimination, hate, or violence towards one person or a group." While Microsoft clearly defines the boundaries of condemnable content in its Online User Policy*, the company fails to suggest how it might protect its users from being victimized by such content. Probably because it can't.

There are a few ways to make sure you get noticed here on Xbox 360 Fanboys. One of those ways is to show your love for Castle Crashers. This Forza 2 car was sent to us by Anton Ernst (Gamertag: xXxADRENALiNxXx). The car features Sir Gawain and the Green Knight from Castle Crashers and we just love it. The boys at The Behemoth would be proud. We've added it and a handful of other new cars to our Forza 2 custom car gallery. Go check 'em out. Don't forget, you can submit yours by sending us a tip. We'll add more to the gallery periodically, so keep your eyes peeled for our next addition.%Gallery-3640%

  • How-to: make custom Forza 2 paint jobs

    06.07.2007

If you listened to the latest episode of the Xbox 360 Fancast (and you really should have), then you'll know that the copious amounts of Forza 2 custom paint jobs hitting the net both amazed and befuddled us. They amazed us, obviously, because the level of work and detail that goes into these cars is amazing. They befuddled us because we had no idea how they were created. Lo and behold, we have discovered a handy how-to on the Forza 2 message boards. Posted by one Neubourn, the tutorial shows you step by step how the many shapes available in the Forza 2 livery editor can be transformed into incredibly detailed works of art. Yup, every custom paint job is merely a collection of shapes in different configurations and transparencies. It seems damned near unbelievable when you view the initial rough outline of Batman's Harley Quinn (see "Before" above), but after some extensive manipulation (and plenty of time we're sure) she came to life as clear as crystal. Hit the "read" link to learn how to make custom designs yourself.[Thanks to murph for pointing this out]

  • Forza 2 custom cars make their way to eBay

We've mentioned more than once that we're damned impressed with all the Forza Motorsport 2 custom cars out there (especially this one), but we're not sure if we'd be willing to actually pay for one. You know, with real money. It looks like custom Forza cars have begun to hit eBay. Honestly, we're surprised we didn't see this coming. So far we've found three different auctions for various cars, all priced at $10. These don't have the meticulous custom paint jobs we've seen, so we're guessing they're tuned more for performance. One seller is even creating his cars with individual numbers, hoping to make them collector's items. Our question to you: would you pay real money for the ultimate Forza car?[Thanks, IncredibleBulk92]

Forza 2 hasn't even been out for a week and already we're starting to see shots of custom paint jobs roll in. The designs are all over the place, from anime, to KFC, to iPod, to Jack Sparrow, to Gears of War. We particularly like Reggie Lee seen above. Follow the "read" links below to see many, many more custom Forza 2 paint jobs. Do any Xbox 360 Fanboys out there have custom Forza cars they'd like to share? If so, hit us up with a tip or submit a link in the comments. We'll compile the best ones and stick them in a special gallery. Bonus points to anyone who makes an X3F car.[Via Penny-Arcade]ReadRead

As Forza Motorsport 2 heads to retailers on May 29, Microsoft has slashed slightly reduced the price of the Wireless Racing Wheel to $129.99 (normally $149.99). Yes, for the price of a DS Lite, you can experience true force feedback in your favorite racing titles. There are plenty of other special events planned around the release of Forza 2, including Xbox Live contests, developer play sessions, and a leaderboard tournament. So, with a marginally reduced price, is anyone out there ready to take the plunge and pick up the wheel?[Via Joystiq]

The big Forza 2 demo news is out. Turn 10 community manager Che Chou has revealed that the Forza 2 demo should hit Xbox Live Marketplace sometime tonight. It sounds like the demo will show up fairly late in the day, as Che notes that "it'll be pretty painful for east coasters." We know that everyone is itching to get their hands on Forza 2, and now we'll have the chance. So, who's staying up late to grab this?[Via 1PStart. Thanks, marklar]

The clamor for the Forza 2 demo is reaching herculean heights these days. Quite simply, racing fans are frothing for the game, and understandably so. Take heart, Forza fanatics, for new information is upon us. In a recent forum post, Turn 10 community manager, Che Chou, has revealed that "good news" about the demo should be revealed sometime today. He adds, "It's coming sooner than you think." Dare we dream that we'll see the demo this week? Perhaps even ... today?

Microsoft has confirmed last week's rumor that a Forza 2 demo will arrive soon. Unfortunately, no specific dates have been confirmed, though a date should be announced "in the coming weeks." Also revealed was the next installment of Forza 2's ever expanding car list. The latest editions are "Aftermarket Tuner Car Classics." These cars cover a broad range of makes and models from 1992 all the way to 2006. The makes listed run the gamut from Acura to Honda to Chevrolet. If Forza Motorsport 2 was merely the worlds foremost tire wear and friction monitoring simulation, it would be at the top of its class. Fortunately for those of us who play video games, you get to race around on those tires, though you'll end up obsessing over your tire pressure anyways. Equipped with an impressive four monitor setup (three in panorama and a cute travel monitor posing as a rear-view mirror), the developers at Turn 10 gave us a tour of everything Forza. The content, however, is in place and looking remarkable. With just about every manufacturer imaginable, full damage modeling for all cars and the most in-depth customization and tuning options outside of greasing it up in your own garage, Forza looks to be a massive step up from its Xbox predecessor. Glossing over previously known details, the setup we played on was one that could only be recreated in some sort of country club league for spoiled youth. When we weren't sliding out of control, the response and feedback from the Microsoft racing wheel felt much better than previously experienced with Project Gotham Racing 3. With only six weeks of work left, it still has a few layers of polish to go before it's ready for the races.%Gallery-1658%

  • Forza 2 auction house, new cars revealed

    02.23.2007

Lots of great stuff from Forza town this week. First of all, Turn 10 has officially announced the Forza Motorsport 2 online auction house. The auction house, as its name suggests, will let players buy and sell their customized rides. All the purchases are made using the in game currency, so it won't set you back any real cash. The best part: users can participate in auctions using a PC. That's right, you can track your auction even while you're at work! The auction house keeps track of all your car's stats, including miles driven, number of races, number of wins, etc. Since paint can be locked to a specific car, all cars can be truly unique. The auction house is set to be a very nice addition to Forza 2.Finally, Turn 10 has revealed wave two of Forza's new vehicles. More European cars this week, including V-Dubs (oh, snap!). Check out the list after the break. In case you missed wave one, you can check it out here.
