This summer lull for games bores us immensely -- thank the Nine we have webcomics. Be sure to vote for your favorite! Well ... someone made the Tingle joke. For the record, it's a talking couch. We're pretty sure he's playing Uno. Probably against us. Wait 'til you see how they market the Dreamcast controller as chic. Silly little Combine sympathizer.

Tim Buckley has posted another trailer for Ctrl+Alt+Del's premium content. While the introductory cartoon is a bit too reminiscent of Clerks (great movie, but not for parody), what we found fascinating was the quick look into the process of making a strip for publication. From the initial sketchwork to his work with a Cintiq, none of this will probably interest those familiar with graphic design, but we get a kick out of behind-the-scenes glimpses like these. While we're on the subject, is it just us or does Tim Buckley bear kind of a resemblance to Elliott Smith? Also be sure to check out Scott Johnson's Diary of a Cartoonist, who has been showing off behind-the-scenes work since early March.See Also:Readers pick this week's best webcomic

We have to thank our readers for picking our absolute favorite webcomic this week. Steve Napierski of Dueling Analogs deserves a round of applause for showing some artistic merit and creativity in using The Last Supper to recreate the cheat code of old (which, if you haven't noticed, is portrayed by the hands of all characters in the picture).Second place goes to VG Cats' love-hate relationship with Nintendo and third can be claimed by Penny Arcade and their look at E3's Kentia All-Stars. Thanks to everyone who voted, and be sure to let us know (via comments below, preferably) of any game-related webcomic you stumble upon this week!

Scott Ramsoomair really hit the nail on the head. His satire on Sony's latest inflammatory campaign is spot-on, and a large aspect of Joystiq readers thought so. Earning 57% of the votes, VG Cats has quite deservedly earned the top spot as the most popular webcomic of the week. Second place went to Penny Arcade and third place, despite some initial controversy, was Digital Unrest's "Tetris Offensive." Thanks to everyone who voted, and be sure to let us know of any game-related webcomics you happen upon this week!
