Well done Engadget!
Ever tired of doing this?
Any other words on the new 'Ooma' VoIP coming out with cell phone integration?
I still don't understand why people do that. There's no reward in saying "first"- people hate you, reply saying horrific things about both you and your mother, and and rank you so low that you're invisible.
So...why?
Thanks for compiling all the CES tech goodies in one place.
All in all, it was a disappointing CES (no fault of Engadget). Last year's CES had the HD DVD drama, the battle over who has the largest flat panel display, and the first look at decent sized OLEDs. This year had Palm Pre.
As i am really not exited by big tv's or dvd-rays, all I can say is for me this year was way better!
Obviously we all appreciate the hard work that goes in to cover an event like CES.
That being said, am I the only one that thought CES was on the dull side this year? A few TV's that got a bit thinner, a few laptops that got a bit smaller, another display of 3D tech that we've already seen (albeit with less dorky looking glasses)... I mean, if this is what companies have to show, then fine... but I remember CES introducing new tech. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't really see anything new this year.
Was really hoping to see more Android, autostereoscopic tech emerging, and especially Tegra. Real bummed that we didn't see Tegra in "2009's upcoming suparphone!! It has Tegra so it can output Robocop at 720p!! I'd buy that for a dollar!!" You get the point.
word up, yo.
Its called a recession.
I dunno. Some people just can't help themselves I guess. Maybe they have a virus and need to run "TrollFix.exe".
On another note, while down voting this guy, this query came to mind: Anybody actually see the hearts at Joystiq, or status at Engadget, actually change after you click one of the votes? Like, I was hoping to see this guy go from Low Ranked to Lowest Ranked after I hit the [-], but it just never happens. Every time, I go, "HERE IT COMESSs---awwww...."
You guys are a bunch of goddamn nerds. I am voting him/her up.
Palm has its own section and Apple doesn't?! You weren't kidding when you said you were Palm fanboys now!
(Apple wasn't at CES)
Wait, is the entire staff now Palm fanboys, or just Josh?
Good job guys, great coverage. A well deserved break, you can catch up on some Top Model now!
Heaps of fun listening guys. I was trolling iTunes for your updates every day.
An amazing CES for Content Free presentations. Everyone interested in their Image rather than showing off products. And it seemed like a good year of Facebook. Last year it was all YouTube, this year everyone's integrating Facebook into their software and gadgetry.
And I hate Facebook. :)
So, WTF happened with Zii?
Easy mate. it's just another fart in the stiff wind.
nothing from logitech?
i was expecting new generation of mice (and not only the gamers ones)
...leaving the zii off the list is just petty...
...what the hell is your problem engadget?...
You seriously want us to put pictures of chips that don't do anything yet in our CES highlights?
I was hoping for more hands-on with the iRiver products like the W10 Wavephone.
Well, there would be much ore at the next CES. Apple will be participating from CES 2010 !!
Wow, you just completely lowered my expectations for CES 2010 with one sentence. Thanks a lot.
Why has Engadget decided to ignore all things Panasonic related from CES this year?
yeh... big miss: car audio
weak
No mention of the new Yahoo! Connected TV platform? I guess shipping on 4 of the 5 top US panel manufacturers wasn't quite enough to warrant a blurb in this roundup.
