Lens adapters for digital cameras

In a previous life, I shot a lot of photos on Nikon glass.

My latest desire / obsession is this beautiful little full frame darling (I don't have one. Yet...).

Sony A7: www.engadget.com/products/sony/alpha/7/

A full frame interchangeable lens camera that you can almost fit in your pocket. If your pockets looked like this. Anyway, I want one. Badly! Unfortunately, there aren't really many lens options that fit this new camera yet. They've only released 2 or 3 options for it.

With the abundance of great lenses out there, I'd love to use some of my older (albeit Nikon) glass on a potential Sony A7. So, what are my best options for doing this? And what are the drawbacks? Do you lose a stop of light? Do you lose the ability to autofocus?

I did find this blog post of someone shooting a Sony A7 with a Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D, but they don't really explain what they used: www.mikekobal.com/blog/?p=9907
